    sounds about right to me

players on the field want to win.  their jobs are on the line too, and they love the game and they like to win

they couldnt care less about people butt hurt over us not tanking

Yep agreed. Do you think he was being dismissive about chuck? Not sure if there's more to it then simply their jobs on the line too

In 2013,  we beat Seattle and Denver,  who played in the previous SB.     We also beat San Fran who went to the NFC Championship.      And we beat KC -- twice -- including once in the playoffs.

We played quality teams and beat them.     But the haters HATE being reminded of it..........

i think it was actually the same season, makes it more impressive

No kidding, how far we've fallen since that Seattle win in 2013. I truly thought we were poised for something special after that.

didnt we give them and the broncos their first losses that year? thats awesome lol. and we beat the niners, who were championship finalists. those years were so special and promising of the team

T.Y. Hilton just shook his head when we burned a needed time-out on a head-scratching challenge, that just summed up the past two seasons of coaching right there.

wow i missed this, if you find a clip of this please do share.

Said it before, say it again.

Right now, TODAY, Andrew Luck is not reaching the potential that he should have.  I blame the coaching, the OL, and the GM for not giving him the players to reach his full potential.

He does not deserve to be the highest paid player in the NFL.

He needs to get back to what he was.  A QB who can beat you with both the run and the pass.  I really feel the coaches have taken the run away from him, and he doesn't seem to be having the same amount of fun and playing the same way anymore.  And yes I know that he has had a very good year.  But he should be GREAT.

I also put some of the blame on him.  He has not progressed to the level he should have.  He still makes some stupid mistakes, holds the ball, and I don't think he changes the calls nearly enough when he is at the los.

glad im not the only one thats noticed luck, while having a great year, seemed to have played "neutered" by the coaches

I wish I understood why we can't build a D here in Indy.

Offense, no problem, D forget it. I'm sure some will say we had some good ones, but they were usually bad without a lead where they could pin there ears back and get after the QB.

I mean we won that Mia game years back where the D couldn't get off the field even if they were given shotguns to take out the other team.

Didn't we win that one with like 10-15 minutes of TOP on offense??

You want O, come to Indy...D's not sold around these parts.

Well I'm not gonna lie, this is literally the cleanest and easiest to navigate forum on the entire internet. Not gonna call out other teams' boards, but some forums are absolutely hideous and a pain to get around haha

But not this one, and I give props to Nadine and crew for that

on point. honestly, i have yet to see a team forum thats better than ours.

    well done folks

and don't forget Cassius Vaughen/Josh Gordy when powers was also injured, which he was a lot that year too.

ah yea powers played half the season and forgot about cassius vaughn lol, didnt he have a pretty decent last year with us? i kinda liked josh gordy his last season with us, not sure why we didnt keep him for depth.

  11. maybe were just shutting down players where it isnt worth rushing them back in 3 weeks or less? did anyone else feel like so many players esp of D have gotten injured multiple times this season bc they were rushed back to play? or just bad luck lol

idk, either way im not mad at all that theyre doing this with the players they placed already, coaching prioritizing health of next season vs the next 3 games, and well be able to see more of the younger players get some more experience and see what they can do.  how we play minnesota this weekend will really show if we did indeed throw in the towel

Grigson has been haunted at certain spots.

WR4:    Avery,  DHB,  Nicks,  Johnson.      All last one year.

CB 2:    Whoever we had in 2012?     Toler,  and now Robinson

    And....   up until this year...

Center:    Too many to list for 4 years.      Now, thankfully,  Kelly.

CB in 2012 was jerraud powers who did pretty well in arizona

Luck's willing to lead by example but he's not willing to get on someone's case or be critical of them.

We need that aspect to come from someone.  It doesn't necessarily have to come from Luck if that's not in his personality.  But it needs to come from someone.

It seems like most of our best players are the "good soldier" type guys.  They will do whatever you ask of them and everything but they don't want to get in someone's face.

yep. and to that note,i m actually glad somebody (TY) said something. this is something thats been annoying me since reggie left, theres no true leadership and it doesnt look like theres accountability for anything. i think i saw luck get frustrated (with TY of all people too) in the jets game when he had a drop i think. need more of that to the players that need it.

ive also asked on the forum before (or reddit, forgot), if anyone notices something with the players both on the field and sideline. theres barely any emotion/energy and it doesnt seem like theres chemistry with the team, no "family" type of vibe like was felt in lucks first few seasons. when they're on the sideline, they all have blank lost looks, and on the field its like they arent focused and still lost. something has to have been up this season in the lockerroom hands down. im not buying this talent thing, we can hang with any team on any given day, it is a MENTAL/CULTURAL problem at this point.

  14. 3 hours ago, Restored said:

What TY said reflects the bigger issue of lack of accountability within the team. Players that continue to underperform or make dumb mistakes consistently continue to get playing time.

I've said it before but the most underrated reason why this team is where its at is because of lack of accountable leadership amongst the players. Players like Bethea, Wayne or even Freeman are no longer on the team and its showing in more than one way.

Ive been saying this as well.. No true leadership and wish luck would go Peyton on players sometimes

No we really didn't. In a 41 point production, Gore had 78 yards and a 4 point ypc avg, which isn't bad but I would have expected we could have pounded that to a better avg and/or breaking that 100 yard mark. And I am aware they took him out in the 4th quarter. I don't believe a 3.5 ypc overall avg in a game like this is considered a good running game and there were way too many 1-2 yard pile ups. I am not really complaining about the game at all, I am just pointing out that for a big win, I assumed we would have finally been able to impose a run game that felt like we could run or pass anytime we wanted after we broke their will. They still played the run remarkably well in a huge loss. I think our run game has been so dismal over the years, we feel that this is a good running game. It may have been for this team idk. We have more work to do to get that run game moving forward. Can't wait to see those games where we have multiple 10+ yard chunk runs and a few to the house runs.

yea, i definitely agree with you, expected more in a 41 point production for sure.  im considering that it was against one of the better run Ds, let alone Dlines, and i think we did good enough (obviously). luck didnt crack 300 yards either. i will say that the pass blocking was significantly better than run blocking though. alot of those 1-2 yarders is credit to jets dline and poor run blocking or just getting beat.

edit: just realized we had ~140 rushing yards. doesnt matter to me how that was accumulated :D

Good question. I don't know the answer to it but Ill wait and see if anyone else does. Still can't run the ball though which is a big concern moving forward nor can we seem to develop a screen play.

    We ran pretty well though

Hoping your division rivals lose every week Is kind of part of the deal when rooting for a professional team. It is for me anyways.

Exactly! This is simply part of sports.. we're just not used to it cause we haven't had to worry about the rest of division when we were dominating for so long
