  1. Was watching nfl live on still and they did a piece on this article from tony Gonzalez from a magazine. Sorry I don't have source names.

    Major quotes

"Matt Ryan is an excellent qb but not elite. He's almost there and will be there, but he has a little learning still"

"Maybe if the team was 9-2 or hot in November I would come back ( to finish next season)"

This guy is soooo hungry for a ring and clearly still has the desire and skill to play. Atlanta may not be the spot to make a run. I think his comments were spot on about Ryan.

  2. Go back to sleep, you woke up on the wrong side of the bed obviously

Go try it again & then log back on the forum

yeah well you see I dont want someone who throws their friends under the bus for some type of self gain, a crybaby, a liar, and (from what it sounds like) a wussy mommas boy who cant stand up for himself or most importantlly "handle the football locker room atmosphere"

but obviously thats youre style, and you want these type of players so ill respect your opinion

and just because i dont want a self centered, wussy, jerk---off on  my favorite pro football team doesnt mean i woke up on the wrong side of the bed but i wouldnt want to hurt your opinion anymore

  3. Didn`t like him as an opponent but he competed at the highest level and was in the right spot with the best of them.

And i bow to his FB knowledge.

Seattle KNEW at the start of the game what the Ravens figured out by halftime the year before.

Peytons game against a VG secondary WILL be played from 20 yards in.

And it sure looked like they Baited Peyton into run plays and knew the run game tendecies to a T and Stuffed it.

Manning had HIS Team Underprepared for the crowd noise and he and HIS team crumbled under the pressure.

Hmmm! Brings back Memories of MANY one and dones, and Pittsburg and San Diego games by HIS Team.

I WAS Surprised he had a 24 QBR game in him tho.

Seattle plays a simpler D and I mean he puts his team in the right play like No Other. :-)

its actually john foxes team he uhh coaches it

somehow he gets NO blame, i mean has anyone even mentioned fox?

but once again we will drag peyton to Pontius Pilot after a record breaking season screaming crucify him!

I dont know what playoff game you watched, the chargers never had ANY chance that game, peyton struggled with them?

getting to the super bowl reminds you of all his one and dones? cool. just another ungratful fan. buffalo, dallas, and browns fans would be very grateeful for one and dones, and not crucify someone for them.

arent you a colts fan? or one of those people who feel an obligation to throw the whole football is a team sport concept out the window in order to talk in negative absolutes about manning?

  4. Also Seattle sniffed out every screen AND the one draw I remember to Moreno got sniffed out for a loss too.

Seattle likes to play there linebackers in zones, and cover 3 a lot. They don't like to have DBS or linebackers follow an offensive player in motion. They don't move around to accompany what the offense gives.

Peyton should've used this to his advantage and used motion, and audibles to flood receivers into certain areas so there zone would be compromised. But I never saw this. That. Was his key to victory.

  5. I think it was a combo Superman. He definitely forced some and missed guys that were open but how much of that was a factor of the pressure and the coverage? Hard to say IMO. He definitely looked uneasy but not sure that really says anything other then he looked uneasy. The fact that Sherman and Kam are spouting off just irks me. I know that is their MO but it was clear they had the personnel to flat out beat the Denver O. It was almost like they were made to stop Denver being that their secondary is their strength which plays right into their hands when playing a passing attack.

I am surprised Fox is not taking more of a beating for this. His team looked completely unprepared to deal with Seattle and the elements as more then one player said they were not prepared for the noise which makes no sense given it is a Super Bowl and it gets loud.

    I love Peyton.

You are right fox was under prepared. The reason he's not taking a whipping is because we just all expect fox to not do anything important or win contributing, and have Peyton put the teams on his back and throw 50 times.

  6. I'd like to see this 'clear evidence to support fact' that you speak of.

I didn't put a single word in your mouth. I'd also like for you to point that out for me.

     .

    Sure BUB

The fact that you fail to recognize fairly decent WR talent throughout Peytons career, and give him the only credit, is pretty questionable.....There is a reason Peyton has achieved so much statistically, its because he was given pretty good players to work with throughout his career...Failure to recognize that is a shame.

As for Decker, he actually had a pretty solid year with Tim Tebow as his QB.

As for the rest of the hard evidence I need to prove my original point I had typed out this big long piece of stokelys top years were with manning, and pollards, and when I was on pro football ref looking up more stats it all got deleted.

But I thought I ain't bothering because by providing u with all this hard evidence what am I doing?

If old man Jim walks into the house and closes the door. I know he's in the house. Little annoying jimmy comes from down the street an says where's old man Jim? Oh he's inside says I. Do u kno that says Jim? Yeah I saw him go in. Yeah but you don't knoooow that says jimmy! He could've went out the back door? No old man Jim says he can't walk down those steps. "We'll he caaaan he just doesn't want to...

This all started off by me saying Peyton made a lot of people better who otherwise didn't do much without him. We could sit here And throw entirely subjective stats at each other that you think is clear evidence but it's really not either, so I'm not going to bother.

Let's wrap it up so someone like you can understand.

Original point of my post: Peyton made a lot of people go above their capabilities and have some career years they probably wouldn't be had otherwise

Your post " Peyton had a lot of talent around him to begin with that he doesn't put up all those numbers without. Also all the players u mentioned he made better were already really good because of xyz"

U win Peyton had all the talent, never made stokely, decker, pollard or anyone else better, and doesn't get any stats without it. And the fact that he has overcome all types of adversity, personnel, coaching changes, and injuries, to keep producing numbers that no one who had ever played could hold a candle to is just mere coincidence.

  7. Into stud 10+td players? 2 of those guys caught 10+tds...Stokley once, and Decker these past 2 years....

Stokley played 5 years with Peyton, and had 1 good one....Pollard was a nice TE, but Manning made him? They had 7 years together, and he had one decent year statistically.....I dont know if you know this, but Garcon just led the league in receptions this year, with a questionable QB (and it pains me to say that bc im not a believer in Garcon)....Collie? Again a pretty nice player, but Peyton doesn't deserve any blame for laying him out over the middle on several different occasions?....

The fact that you fail to recognize fairly decent WR talent throughout Peytons career, and give him the only credit, is pretty questionable.....There is a reason Peyton has achieved so much statistically, its because he was given pretty good players to work with throughout his career...Failure to recognize that is a shame.

As for Decker, he actually had a pretty solid year with Tim

I think whats so grossly appaling about some of the forum members here is how they can take clear evidence to support fact and nit pick little minisucle details (as half recievers being a few tds short of 10) and use rhetoric to say things like (you fail to recognize peyton had reciever talent) which completely tries to ignore the original point of "peyton makes a lot of recieevers better". You use a thesis to defraud my statements that puts words in my mouth how annoying. i do not fail to recognize peyton had reciever talent you fail to read buddy ;)

The fact that you fail to notice the improvements of players under mannings guidance clearly indicate a lack of understanding of the game. I continued to watch all those players i mentioned improve under manning, and do very little without him. The fact that you fail to see this is quite startling. Furthermore the fact that you refuse to recognize mannings success under multiple coaches, injuries, players, teams, gms, players etc makes me wonder if you use any logic or reasoning when choosing what eye bleeding material u posst about manning only winning because of all the talent around him.

  8. I can't tell if this is positive post or a negative one.

    Both

I really really liked your mock. Mack maybe underpaid but maybe not

Grigs will most likely sign clowns he think can play rather he know can play thinking he's so smart billy bean money ball man

And we will probBly see the likes of more players like walden freaky jean toler and Donald Thomas while grigs plays more of his money ball (which for him means finding backups and paying them starter money and praying it works

  9. Yeah man Alex Mack for 4 mil woooo

    U 4got some ppls too !!!!?,!

Jarius Byrd for 500k 9 yrs

Jimmy graham 7 yrs 8 mil

    Decker 10 yrs 3 mil

Hackeem nicks 3 yrs 30 mil

    Brent grimes 1 yr 100k

    And trade our 2015 1st 2016 1st 2017 1st and 2018 1st for megaton

Trade t rich back to Cleveland for their 1st and draft clowney

Oh and sign some low key under radar guys like Allen iverson, Priest Holmes, and randy moss And maybe grigs gets my stamp of approval....

    Maybe

  10. That's because most elite QBs are kept until they retire from the team that drafted them.

Yeah you're right Peyton isn't elite. If he had all these weapons that did it all for him like all their yac on screens in the sb you said they had (lawl) why didn't they put up these numbers with tebow? Peyton makes everyone look that good. I don't think it's a fluke he made decker, stokley, pollard, garçon, collie, and many other clowns into stud 10 td plus receivers. Get real.

  11. Brady didn't win unanimously in his record setting year either.  There were other players that had great years, but some don't vote 100% based on stats that are put up.  People also recognize that Manning had one of the most talented offenses in NFL history surrounding him as well, it was not all Peyton Manning.

We'll you see Jerod we aren't upset because Brady got a vote but why. The voter said he thought Peyton should win but didn't want him to win unanimously. Why have a vote for MVP and vote for someone who you admit is not deserving of an MVP?

Answer because you're a classless pats fan. For all you pats fans who say Brady should've won just.... Why is anyone even arguing with them? If you don't think manning should've won you either are bias, don't get it/have no understanding of football, or just want to continue to annoy colts fans and act like you're here to be unique and smart and blah blah blah. Just shut up.
