Hes been solid, but we need a better pass rusher. He hasnt really done well with that this year.
That's not really his job though, is it?
He has been good against the run and that's what he's there for. Obviously we need some interior pressure and RJF/Redding haven't been great at that this season but I don't think it's one of the most important positions that need filling.
I'd try to get a C, G and ILB first. Then DE, WR, CB.

I'm hoping Cassius Vaughn isn't on this team after this season
Why?

I follow the Colts, Rockets and Maple Leafs in the NFL, NBA and NHL respectively, in decreasing order of devotion.
With so much roster turnover in most sports these days, I tend to follow players rather than teams, outside of those which I would say that I 'support'. Right now, I like the Golden State Warriors a lot in the NBA (mostly because of Klay Thompson - dudes a baller) and the Seahawks in the NFL. I don't really follow the NHL at the moment tbh.

I think we will remind the doubters that the best thing you can do for the Colts, is count them out.
I proudly stick my neck out and say a big...............fat............W.
So you want the Colts to lose. Is that what you're saying?
-
Real?? i dont see why they wouldn't zoom out and keep the ball in view...
yeah i dont know if its legit or not
It couldn't be less real!
Like one of the comments said, punters don't even get that kind of hang time.
-
Dat hang time.
-
I thought you weren't allowed to grab the helmet?
It's not illegal exactly, just a bit of a boner...
-
Yes.
-
Donald Butler is a shout and Alex Mack is pretty much consensus #1 target here!
I'd be happy with both of those.
-
Derek Wolf had seizure like symptoms on the bus ride to the airport. Will miss against KC.
Wasn't he the one that had the slightly bizarre head/neck injury earlier in the season?
Could be related to that I guess. It's worrying either way.
-
Can't wait to see what he can do! Throw him in there and see if he can make a play or two.
Biggest game of the season for us, it has to be said.
-
And Luck to ILB
The funny thing is... He'd probably be pretty good!
-
Yeah, that's a pretty crazy stat!
Credit where credit is due.

Our O-Line is still pretty bad but we're moving in the right direction.
As highlighted above, Cherilus is pretty much what we hoped he would be - a solid tackle in both the pass and run games, Castonzo has looked inconsistent the past season or two but he seems to be slowly improving, Donald Thomas looked good before the injury and Hugh Thornton has shown that he has talent in his rookie season.
Obviously we still have McGlynn and Satele who are pretty awful but the O-Line is one thing that can't be fixed over night and I'm comfortable with the other 3 guys long term, personally. I think if Grigson was to come out and say, at the end of last season, that we'd have 3 good players on our O-Line this season that we're comfortable with going forward then we would have all hailed him as the messiah. Either that or a raving loon!

The love for Whalen is lost on me. He is not, and these are in no particular order, fast, quick, nor can he separate plus he does not hang onto the ball. He was a warm body that knew the system.
That's the thing, I don't "love" him!
I think he's a decent young receiver with pretty good hands a good attitude. I think he could be a relatively good slot receiver one day.
David Reed is fast but that certainly doesn't make him better than Whalen. I'm not saying we should hang on to him and never let go. I'm just saying, I'd rather have him than Reed and it's not even close.
-
1. I still think the Patriots are pretty heavily disliked but I'd throw the Texans in there too for sure.
2. I actually really liked the Steelers uniforms! They're very Rugby-esque.
-
I'm pretty annoyed about this.
I like Griff Whalen and I don't understand why we're hanging on to Reed. They've obviously grown tired of letting him run the ball out to the 6 because his return duties have been dwindling the past couple of weeks. I just don't really understand why he's here.
Whalen has played a lot more snaps than Reed on the offence since Reggie's injury, right?
-
Is returning kicks and punts really that dangerous or is it just a myth?
I literally can't think of a game in which I've seen the returner get injured.
I'm happy with T.Y and Vaughn returning for us. I'd rather those than Reed.
-
thats the point he is making. The colts are the only team above .500 to play either the Chefs or the broncos before yesterday
My mistake!
-
Actually you win SkyKing. I stated twice "going into todays action." So Philly would be 5-5.
You also stated "above .500".
5-5 isn't "above .500".
-
Why stop there...why not add the Broncos too....Peyton at qb, Decker, Welker, Thomas and Thomas....but alas...we still couldn't make a decent OL out of the 3 teams....so maybe you just need some good sleep.
The Broncos have a great OL!
I'd take Vasquez, Ramirez and Clady at least!

8-1
Answer:all of the above. Everything you have listed could in theory give us minor advantages. But this game is going to come down to the offensive line and if they can get any kind of push whatsoever.
Our offense is predicated on the play action pass and passing game in general being set up by a successful running game. When we can run the ball, our offense completely fails. See last weeks game.
If we can get 3.5-4.5 years per carry, we can be successful. Anything less and we're doomed. We simply can't get going without it.
Jesus! The game will take forever!
-
I'll go with 3 primarily, but that will ultimately allow 4 to happen.
I think the defence bounces back tonight and doesn't roll over like they did last week. That'll allow us to stick to our offensive gameplan and come away with a clinical and efficient, though not spectacular, victory.
-
I would.
I wouldn't try to influence him either way. If he, himself, chose to play football then I'd have no issue.
The same would apply to my daughter, for that matter.

I wouldn't go that far but I do like Whalen.
Unfortunately, I think the practice squad is probably the right place for him right now. Hilton and DHB shouldn't go anywhere, we all have high hope for Rogers and Brazill has looked pretty good at times. There's just not really a roster spot for him.
