  1. Pickens are slim. We've lost 3 of our 4 best weapons on offense already. Bradshaw, Allen and Wayne. The empty promise that is DHB is the biggest question mark going forward. Going into the year, the promise that is DHB should've spelled a great deal of relief if Wayne were to have gone down. Wayne has gone down, and DHB has become an empty promise.

If DHB can just stop dropping the ball, we have a fairly known quantity in Hilton......if Brazil shows some flash and Fleener continues executing, I think we'll be fine with what we have.

One of those guys (other than Hilton) has to emerge, or we're in big trouble going into the playoffs. I don't think bringing a player in will amount to diddly-poo.

How has DHB become an empty promise after Wayne's injury?!

We haven't played a game without him yet!

  2. It's as dumb as the fools in Europe who decided to jump in big sail boats and find places. Sometimes expanding boundaries works out in the end. Some you guys seem afraid to try something a little different. While I don't think a London team would get enough support for 8 home games a season, all the other 'tosh' spoken about the wrongs of doing this are pretty weak.

The biggest show stopper would appear to be the travel. Have you ever been in first class accommodation in a long haul flight? And being blunt, most players spend more time in nightclubs than they would have to spend in a plane..

Some of you need to get over your own importance as a country. And that's from someone who loves America.

I definitely think we could manage 8 games a season. Every game that's been held at Wembley so far has been sold out. And sold out quickly too.

I think the sport is more popular over here than a lot of people understand. And it's only going to get bigger if we get a franchise.

Travel does seem to be a legitimate problem but if we were to get a few franchises over here then it may not be too different from NBA teams going on road trips. Fly over, play a couple of games in Europe, then fly back and take your bye week. I know the way in which schedules are organised may make that difficult but there are certainly ways around the problem.

Ultimately, I think it would be a good thing. I also think you're just scared that we'll get good and beat you at your own game :P

  3. Reed's getting a lot of love right now but Matt Ryan and the Falcons had a good game last week. Also, Arizona may pay a little more attention to Harry Douglas after his big performance which could open up the middle of the field for Gonzalez.

I think it's really tight but I'd go with Reed. It's going to be a high scoring game and I think RG3 will be looking his way fairly often.

    Good luck, whoever you choose!

  4. I'm in the same situation. How did you find out it was lions - falcons? And i'm hoping with the Jags having 4 years one of them will be the colts.

The fixtures have been announced already:

    Jags v. Cowboys

    Lions v. Falcons

    Raiders v. Dolphins

I guess there's a fairly good chance of that happening :) I'll definitely be there for that one!

  5. Not happening. And I don't think they should, they'll be picking low for a couple more years anyway, so why not just keep A.D. and hope for playoff success along the way.

Picking low and playoff success aren't synonymous though.

If you're in the playoffs, you're not picking low.

  6. Imagine getting picks that would allow you to get back into the first round again this year and pick twice. 5 first round picks in two years would mean a very talented young core for the next decade.

Or even being able to trade up into the top 5 and get your hands on the franchise quarterback that they obviously need?

    I'd definitely grab that opportunity.

  7. I voted 'Organisation appeal' because, although I started following the Colts when Manning was still around and although he played a massive part in my deciding to follow the Colts specifically, it was more to do with the attitude of the organisation as a whole. I love the honesty and integrity of the franchise, epitomized by players like Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, Robert Mathis, Antoine Bethea etc. and that's why I chose to follow them.

  8. I don't get your problem with this. The media brought it on themselves and it bit them in the ***. Irsay gave it right back to them and he deserved to do so. Please don't give me the classy crap either, it wasn't classy for the media to twist Irsay's words and it's not classy for them to give him so much crap all the time because of his dad's mistakes or his past personal problems. Irsay gives everything he can back to the team and the fans and as far as I'm concerned, he's one of the best owners in football.

It absolutely was classless for them to do those things, but when Irsay retaliates by doing exactly the same thing then how does that make him any different? He's just dragging himself down to their level.

He's a great owner, no doubt. I just have more respect for people that can show dignity and restraint in these situations.

  9. If I had the Chief's, I wouldn't trade them...But, I have two decent defenses that I switch in and out depending on the match-ups. I have Cincinnati and Carolina defenses..I got 16 this week from Carolina..I wouldn't give anything up for a defense, no matter how well they are playing. You can easily get a decent match-up for the week that your main D is on a bye.

I own them and I'm in desperate need of a RB. Martin just went down for the season and I'm left with McCoy and Forte who is on a bye next week.

I really don't want to trade them but I'm seriously considering offers right now.

  10. I liked Butler too, but they actually graded Butler as a -3.1, worst on the defense.  He got gashed a little in the fourth quarter, and he got beat for the DT TD pass.  Might be a case of the PFF grade not telling the whole story though.  He helped stall the Denver offense for most of the game.

There was a spell in which Welker had the better of him but, like you said, he had him under wraps for most of the game.

I didn't actually get to see the Thomas TD. Gamepass cut out the first 5 minutes of the second quarter for some reason. It went from Manning letting the clock run down to Vaughan receiving a kick off and I had no idea what the hell was going on!

I thought they'd introduced a new rule whereby each quarter begins with a kick off and I didn't get the memo.

  11. Problem with a couple of weeks is that the trade deadline will have already passed. Could still sign a vet free agent though if need be. I say Rogers has all the potential in the world to be a solid contributor for us

Yeah I was strictly talking about free agents.

I wouldn't be against a trade for Josh Gordon if it's not too expensive but I don't see any other potential trades on the horizon.

When exactly is the trade deadline, out of interest?

  12. The Chiefs are currently ranked 9th overall in my NFL.com standard league and are averaging 17.4 points per game. They're clearly a legit top 10 play right now and top 10 talent garners a lot of attention.

So if you own the Chiefs, what would you demand to see them on a rivals roster? And if you don't own them, what would you give up to acquire them?
