Anyone else see Ballard NOT picking Nelson if he is there at 6?

Couldn’t close.
Couldn't close = paying more?
Not a closer = overpaying?
Well, yeah you're right.

And here I thought Hitchens was vastly overpaid.
What on earth are the Chiefs doing?

He should've also said we won't pay top level talent, top level money. I understand not wanting to over pay for guys such as Watkins, Robinson off his injury, and hitchens. But the Norwell contract was within reach. I guess we just need to draft a guard every year so when time comes we don't have to pay him what he's worth. Ballard also has to spend like a certain percent of our cap (what percent).
How do you know Ballard didn't offer Norwell top level money?
Could it be that Norwell just prefer the Jax because 1) better overall team (i.e. closer to a Super Bowl), 2) no state tax, 3) weather.. etc etc.

This is going to be hard to take for several Colts fans here.
The Jags have the money, and they are more attractive compared to the Colts. They have more quality on their roster and closer to a Super Bowl than the Colts.

Yes. But only if he accepts not being the feature back.

What a great man he seems to be.

He’s been dismissed or fired from multiple organizations in his time in the NFL. He didn’t even call the plays in Philadelphia and yeah I think he isn’t going to be successful in Indianapolis. I don’t see why you bring up a snake like McDaniels. Just because he’s a winner with no integrity doesn’t make me feel any better about going with a loser who has integrity. They are both pretty awful options. Do you disagree? Do you think Reich is going to return the Colts to greatness? If so then say so and if not are you just upset that I’m not a delusional fanboy that just falls in line? I don’t think the Colts will be a successful team under Reich. That is my opinion. I hope I am wrong but only time will tell.
Can you please buzz off? Hate trolls like yourself.

He looks to be the best of the three persons they've interviewed. Hopefully this is correct information.

The dude literally can't hire a coach... Literally.... But ya... We should keep him around.
You must be incredibly stupid to pin McDaniels changing his mind on Ballard?
You can't possibly be that daft.

I am honestly surprised none of them have said anything about it yet. It may just be the way I'm looking at the tape, and I plan on going and watching more of it later, but I don't see him giving 100% on every play. I see it most plays, but there are times where he needs to come up big for his team and he relaxes a bit. Don't take my word for it though, I'm bound to get some things wrong every once in a while.
It doesn't matter what YOU see though. There is a consensus among people far smarter than you (no offense), i.e. people who get paid to analyze and watch endless hours of gameplay. I mean, you have the right to state your opinion, but it doesn't make it valid. Especially given the context of scouting etc.

Third losing season since 1998.
Yes. Which makes this completely unacceptable.
The usual standard hasn't been met, and changes need to be made.

He has lost the plot completely.

How is he a fraud?
How is he not?

Chuck Pagano is a fraud, and his contract should have been terminated a long time ago.
-
The Colts only won because Watson wasn't playing.
It's having a negative impact on the draft, but hopefully it doesn't mean that Pagano has a glimmer of hope. His contract should still be terminated immediately after the last game of the regular season.

The New England Patriots.
They are everything I want the Colts to be. Ruthless and successful.
I like watching teams dominate, and Brady winning his 6th (!) ring would be something to behold.

Expect the unexpected.
Colts 27
Texans 24
Just stop. Wake up and smell the coffe.

If there was a Calvin Johnson-like WR in the draft I'd take him in the top 5 without hesitation.
-
Hopefully this is true and confirmed by the Colts soon.

The Colts offensive linemen are being rightfully thrown under the bus. They are abysmal and should be criticized heavily for it. Shouldn't happen publicly though. Keep this in house, TY.

That's what I'm thinking. Have nothing to base it on though.
There will be quality guards in the 2nd round, but players like Chubb, Edmunds, Davenport, Ward, Fitzpatrick. Hard to pass on those.
