my only concern would be with Jackson running so much. Hope he doesn't get RG3'd and injured. It's worked great so far but hopefully he's not taking too many shots.

My thinking is you ride it as long as you can. Injuries are always inevitable. You can also get easily injured standing in the pocket like a sack of potatoes.
Lamar is trying to be smart avoiding hits as much as possible. I loved Luck, and he was a warrior, but he ran right at people. Lamar needs to minimize hits, slide when you can, and get out of bounds. He needs to keep improving as a passer because no one keeps 4.2 speed forever.

Yeah from 2002-2010 when we had Manning I expected a win every week lmao . When we lost I would be like Oh My God Reaction GIF by reactionseditor, if Lamar stays healthy with Harbaugh as coach there is no reason why the Ravens can't be good to great for the next 5-7 years.

That would be great, but rosters change, guys have to be paid, salary cap. I’ve watched the NFL for a long time. I’m taking it one game at a time. Anything can happen. See Super Bowl 3.

I am jealous that Raven fans have such a fun team to watch. I hope the colts get there someday soon. Pats are not beating this team.  Jackson is such a cool guy to root for. They really worked on their offense this past season and really made it so it fit Jackson’s strengths.

I had to watch Manning pick us apart like a Maryland Blue Crab. Luck was awesome also. We haven’t seen anything like this at QB since the old Colts era. However, Lamar is like nothing I’ve ever seen.

Ravens are the best team in thr league. They have offense and defense.  It’s a shame their game with SF is not in prime time. It’s the Texans and pats. A SF Ravens SB would be fun. Pats are not winning a SB this year with that ravens team.

I just hope they are not peaking early. I’m sure Patriots faithful are a bit ill at ease watching this.

So many people thought that Brown would not succeed in the NFL because he did not do well in the bench press. Folks put too much value on Combine tests/numbers.

Many Vikes fans wanted him. Baltimore does a great job finding OL.

I think because his dad, Big Zeus , played for the Ravens, that gave them a little edge in drafting him. They took a chance. I’m still mad Ozzie didn’t draft Terps Stefan Diggs, who went to the Vikings in the 6th round

I've just never seen a 2 min drill full of runs... Goodness.

My colts not have a shot this year. I'm definitely jumping on the Ravens bandwagon!

Been a Lamar fan since college.

    Baker

    Darnold

    Allen

    Rosen...

There is still a lot of football to play. Since Maryland left the ACC, I didn’t get to see much of Louisville. We had some good luck many years ago in Baltimore with another  Louisville grad named Unitas.

He is underrated. He has really impressed me with his poise.

Be honest. Weren't Ravens fans upset that Ozzie drafted him? What a great draft that was!

Vikes fans were not pleased that our FO did not draft Orlando Brown. How is he doing?

Honestly, I think most fans were happy they drafted him after the boring final Flacco years. That being said, no one really knew if he was an RG III or Geno Smith. After the San Diego loss in the playoffs, there were further doubts.
The key thing is he worked his butt off to become a better passer. Like Manning, he is a hard worker. Kudos to Ozzie on this one for sure.

On at least 3 different times Troy said that is poor coaching Joe - to Joe Buck. Troy would've gave the ball to Emmitt. You have Zeke on your team and do not run it on 3rd and 1. Man I have seen it all now.

Plus, Garrett had three timeouts. Once you get to third and long, like after the ridiculous tripping call, hoodie will blitz ,and you’re finished. That’s exactly what happened.

  9. Jason Garrett is a terrible coach. Should have went for it instead of kicking a FG in the 4th quarter to make it 13-9. Then he didn’t run it for the first down at 3rd and 1 , and got called for a hold. Opportunities missed. You are not beating hoodie with mistakes like that.

That is a big problem with most of this forum.

We had elite play from Manning and Luck and when that don't happen it's hate on Brissett time.

The thing is how many super bowls did that elite play of Manning and Luck bring? One in 20 years.

Until Lamar, and he’s still a second year QB, the Ravens have never had a dynamic QB. Flacco was good from 2008- 2013, but that was it. Banks, Dilfer, Boller, etc. You have to go back to the old Baltimore Colt days with Bert Jones , which was the last time we saw top QB play in Baltimore.

  11. Baltimore Ravens  8-2 at LA Rams 6-4

Venue : Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

    Game time : Monday 11/25  8:15 PM

Ravens lead all time series 4-2

    Fun facts :

Carroll Rosenbloom swapped the Baltimore Colts for the LA Rams on July 14, 1972

Baltimore Colts all time record against LA Rams was 19-15-2

Baltimore Colts and LA Rams were both in the NFL Coastal division

Baltimore Colts and LA Rams both finished the 1967 season 11-1-2. The Colts were eliminated from the playoffs by a tiebreaker

Carroll Rosenbloom stole the original Super Bowl V trophy from the Colts. Many believe it resides in the Frontiere family attic today.

I agree with this. Brissett is a great leader and is capable of showing flashes and having a great game or two but his limitations as a passer are becoming more and more apparent.

I watched that type of game many times with Flacco from 2014-2018, after we won the SB. As I said, you can win with game managers, but many times it’s an ugly win, or you lose to a team you’re not supposed to. You guys had been fortunate with Manning and Luck over the years.

  13. In the total scheme of things, I think Frank is a very good coach, and Ballard has done a good job as GM. The loss of Luck was huge, because with him it could have been a Super Bowl contender. The overall talent on the Colts roster, particularly the defense , is much better than past Colt teams. I think it’s fair to say that the Colts have had more injuries than most teams.
I think JB is a QB in the style of Joe Flacco. You can win with a good game manager , but he’s no Andrew Luck. With game managers you must have a good o line, running game , and good receivers. You have elements of all of these.
The playoffs are still within reach, as the Texans are shaky. Long term, if I were Ballard, I would be looking to draft a young QB. I’m thinking Ballard held onto draft picks and didn’t trade this year  , to possibly move up in the draft, if the right QB presented himself.

No doubt. He really did it to himself. I really think that the Ravens, Steve Bisciotti and John Harbaugh , were going to sign him as a back up QB. Half the fans were up in arms, but I think it was going to happen. Then his girlfriend posts an inappropriate picture of Mr Bisciotti and Ray. Take out the politics, just look at the stupidity from the business angle for playing football.

Here’s the bottom line. For a 30 something back up QB, it’s not worth dividing your locker room or fan base  . At this point , his talent isn’t on par with the controversy . It’s a business decision by the teams. The NFL settled  with him, and provided an unprecedented workout.
He’s been his own worst enemy in terms of getting hired, and it’s my opinion that his current talent level  is very mediocre . My model for a great back up QB is Earl Morrall or RG III in Baltimore .

Wasn’t meant as an insult saying I expect a rematch at the Razor, or that I thought it was a sure win.  It was meant to say I don’t see any team stopping the other till then is all. (Mind you that can change one injury to Jackson or Brady and well it’s over for either club)

the Ravens future looks bright I feel this is the Pats last chance at glory with Brady at the helm, I have a feeling Stidham takes over next year.  Pats draft O lineman and well if he stinks and the Pats are pitifully bad.. we are in the hunt for the Clemson QB the next draft.    Sounds just like a BB plan lol

I certainly didn’t take it that way. We all know the road goes through NE . We certainly have respect for Brady and Belichick.
My point is it’s still a young team with a second year QB. I would love it to get to the AFCCG in either NE or Baltimore, but we have to take it game by game. The Patriots have been there so often , that it’s a pretty good prediction they will be there.
My comments about the playoffs is that historically only the Ravens and Giants have recently won multiple playoff games against NE. If it comes off, it will be another tough game, however , our schedule is brutal with At LA Rams, SF, at Bills, at Browns , home against Steelers. The only seemingly easy game is a home one against the Jets. But, it’s a week to week league. Anything can happen.
