The NFL isn't going to do squat. Their last squabble with the Patriots over the deflategate went on way too long and it was the shield that suffered, even though it was all at the fault of Tom Brady's destroyed phones & the Patriots

Wasn’t it amazing how those pirates turned it all against the Colts and the Ravens , when they were the guilty party ?

buffalo34 does the Woody Allen victim bit. I never want to know those people first hand, but it is hilarious at the right distance

Kind of the bad luck schlep Rock routine.

He just hit pay dirt there

Funny how the Pats figure out so many ways to exploit this stingy Bills defense. Am I a bad person for hating them...

    No, you’re a visionary.

I think he's one of those overly invested fans I would prefer not to know in real life, but cracks me up from a distance

We all know those types of fans.

On another note I was totally intoxicated by the nature of the french quarter, and I was a kid who grew up seeing the worst of the mayhem that went on at the Indy 500

Indy is and was a conservative city. That may have happened at the 500, but certainly NOT the streets of downtown

Check out Youtube videos of the Preakness infield in Baltimore for some real debauchery.

Yeah. He's been on these forums doing the same bit for decades. A lot of people think he's a troll, but he religiously always sticks to the same bit

Like fans from many teams , you always expect the worst when playing in that shaving cream, garbage dump up there. I think he does the reverse psychology bit, to change the karma . It’s worth a try, that’s for sure.

    Maybe it just worked !

Still wondering where buffalo34 is. Maybe this is one that's too stressful to laugh on the foums about. His humor is missed here

You know he’s expecting the roof to cave in. He’s probably a nervous wreck.

  7. NESN Holiday TV Schedule :

    7-8 PM Shifty the Plowman

A delightful winter tale of a New England stumble bum who becomes a hero by illegally plowing a circle in the snow , for a Patriots ill gotten field goal.

    8-9 PM I Spy

Two blunderers from Boston cause havoc by pointing cameras on the Bengal’s sidelines, in this wonderful comic romp.

    9-11 PM It’s a Wonderful Life

In this classic holiday favorite ,  a crafty NFL owner is transported from Foxborough to Pottersville by his guardian angel Rodger. In Pottersville , he is pursued by Bert and Ernie while escaping out of the Orchid Lounge with Violet Bick.

    12-1 AM Tuck Everlasting

A sad and melancholy tale of a football team conned out of a championship , for the sake of better ratings and favoritism.

1-2 AM The Brady Bunch ( Rerun)

Bobby attempts you get Joe Namath to go to his birthday party, but Gronk shows up instead, gets hammered , and nails Marcia in the face with a football.

  8. Unfortunately, here is the rock bottom line. In 2007, the Patriots were heavily fined and lost a first round draft pick for the first infraction. Teams are not permitted to film other teams signals on the sidelines, period , whether it’s outdated or not. The Patriots have already acknowledged that members of its content team did not inform the Bengals of their presence.  So please forgive us for not being suspicious of the Patriots after many other Shennanigans. It merits investigation.

I had never heard of Emlen Tunnel. Perhaps I did and I don't remember. He is second behind Krause in interceptions.

Of course, Peyton is in without a doubt. Also: Unitas, Montana, Brady, Marino, Elway. What do you think?

I have absolutely no problems with any of those quarterbacks. Great selections. I know some fans in Denver thought Shannon Sharp should have gotten in as a TE, and Steeler fans thought Troy Polamalu should have gotten in as safety.
As much as we all give Belichick grief for his many Shennanigans , I have to say I am impressed with him on this show. He seems to be a very good student of NFL history, and even shown a good sense of humor that people rarely see.
I also like that Belichick was a huge Baltimore Colt’s fan , and idolized those late 50’s , early 60’s Colt teams.  His dad Steve coached at Navy, and Bill was in Annapolis MD at the time. A final footnote was that his first NFL coaching job was with the Baltimore Colts in 1975, under the tutelage of good ol’ Teddy Football.

  10. I’m hoping Raymond Berry get in. He has like 9000 some receiving yards, but in an era they ran a lot. If he and Unitas get in, that would be most of the old Colt Hall if Fame guys except for Art Donovan. Artie was great , and a hall of famer, but a notch below some of the defensive tackles on the all time list.

Who are the safeties on the list besides Ronnie Lott and Ed Reed? Not having Krause there makes it seem like not much thought was put into compiling the list.

Yes, it will be interesting to see which receivers are selected. There have been so many great ones. Rice for sure. I think Randy Moss and Marvin Harrison should be there but maybe not.

Ken Houston, Larry Wilson , Emlen Tunnel, Ronnie Lott, Jack Christianson. One of those safeties, except Lott, could be replaced by Krause. I don’t think Marvin will make it either, but Peyton is a stone cold lock, and deservedly so.
He killed the Ravens. What a QB ! Picked us apart every time, and student of the game. All time great off the field, and an exceptional gentleman.

Ed Reed is great. I always liked him. But does he deserve to be added over Paul Krause who is the all-time interceptions leader and an overall great player himself? Ask older fans who watched Krause play. He should have made the team.

The committee making these decisions have recency bias.

I saw Paul Krause play with the Vikings. I agree he’s an all time great, but there are some other safeties other than Ed Reed you could pull off that list and replace with Krause.
The receivers should be real interesting because of the defensive rule changes allowing modern receivers to pile up yardage. It’s kind of hard to compare era’s. Look at the yardage of Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. 1A and 1B. Very similar in yardage.

  13. Two other notes

How the heck do you keep Baltimore Colts / Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula off this list ? NFL Champion 1968, Super Bowl Champion 72 and 73. He should be on this list. I guess he has to pay for the Super Bowl 3 loss.

I would expect Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison from Indy to be on the list.
