  1. My whole view is Andrew always viewed football as a job more than a passion. He loved it because he was good not the other way around. I would guess he got injured again outside of football, but not to the point to prevent him from playing. Like the nagging wrist injury you have that seems to flare up with dull pain every once in a while. And since it wasn't debilitating the medical staff just have him pain meds to deal with it. Since he's dealt with that, and he fell into a dark place from injury before, he promised himself he'd never go that route again. Being newly married, and with a kid on the way he probably questioned if he really wants to put his life outside of football on hold to prevent anythjng from happening. He's worn down from being injured, probably everyday, for the past 4 years. He wants to enjoy the new life that's on the way soon. And he's going to get beat up again if he keeps playing that will likely require the rehab and treatment he endured before that he clearly doesn't view positively. The management gave him the time to reset his head, most likely last week. Hoping that when he comes back he falls in love with football again. He went into that practice knowing he didn't love the game and didn't expect it to invigorated his need to play again. Hence thinking it was probably his last time throwing. I don't blame him. You have enough money for multiple lifetimes, and you aren't in love with your career anymore. I'd probably make the same exact decision. He has more important areas of life than football. It's just a damn game.
  2. I say yes, but only because our parameters seem to be very lax. We have about 4/5 people that really are only there because they were good players during the years the team was terrible.
  3. Well I finally figured out my password. Hello to all my old friends. Firstly, I want to say thanks to Luck. He did everything he could for the team, and man does it suck he's leaving. It's understandable though. The frustration of unrelenting injury taxes like no other. But however, I've said it then, say it now, and will always say it forever - March 7, 2012 is the biggest mistake the Colts franchise will have ever made. The franchise was always going to be better of lining up behind Manning. Because at the end of the day Luck lasted just 31 games more. Unrelated PS: @Gramz

  5. Wow. Colt McCoy, someone should trade for him. Buffalo, Houston?

Let's wait a few more games. Even Cousins had a stellar start...and now he might fell to No.3 QB.

I still remember when colt got blasted by harrison. one of the worst hits ive ever seen

Name recognition wise it works. Colt playing for the Cots as a backup. The commercial endorsements right themselves. Yeah I know 2nd string or 3rd string guys don't get endorsement deals.

  6. Had a tee time for 12. It's a sunny 40 degrees out today. It's a beautiful day to play golf. Only if it didn't snow last night.

The snow has got to go sooner or later right? Like FX said, all you can do is chuckle about it. :) Green grass, golf, & shorts...Eventually, we can break out all 3.

Ah, got out to the practice range yesterday!

Was wonderful to watch the white orb flying through the blue sky!

Yes, my greatest cure for the football offseason blues.

Luckily we are getting out today! My tee time is 2:15. Here we go

  7. Paul George! HOW DO YOU DO!

GO Pacers! I'm no basketball guru, but I do root for most teams INDY based except when Bo Ryan faces Indiana in college ball anyway. :)

I'm not a big basketball fan either, but I do like me some Paul George. No clue why.

  8. Happy 38th birthday Peyton.

#18 may not literally be 18 anymore, but he plays football with the passion of a young man anyway. Have a nice day Peyton!

  9. So I joined a golf club thinking it's a bunch of guys having some recreational play on the weekends. Nope, real club that competes against other Universities. Oh crud.... I gotta step up my game.

I am so happy for all the 18 loyalists whose support never wavered or diminished...You all know who you are & I respect that devotion. Kudos my faithful Orange Crush Brothers & Sisters! :D

  11. Why every time the Broncos have the 415 game there is a tie, and I miss the opening quarter. But every time the Patriots play they switch right away due to "contractual obligations."

I don't. I usually want to continue watching the early game, but they always pull the "due to contractual obligations."

A true enigma that will never be solved in my lifetime FX. It's right up there with what really happened to JFK & where Jimmy Hoffa is really buried. Some things will never ever get a definitive answer.

Lucky long bombs must suck. Don't they Baltimore?

  13. Adam's streak of 154 games with a point ends today. Did we really need the two pt. conversion?

The way the game ended they should have let Adam kick. IMO

  14. I started reading Johnny U: The Life and Times of Johnny Unitas, and it is an amazing book! And I've only ready the first chapter.
