  1. Team MVP: Andrew Luck
Offensive Player of the Year: Andrew Luck
Defensive Player of the Year: Robert Mathis
    Outstanding Leadership Award: Reggie Wayne
Best Game Award: Most exciting: Chiefs @ Colts Best Game Fundamentally: Colts @ 49ers
    Most Improved Player: Coby Fleener
    Best Acquisition (Draftee/FA): Gosder Cherilus
    Biggest Surprise Player: Donald Brown
Breakout Player of the Year: TY Hilton
Costliest Injury: Vick Ballard (Obviously Reggie's injury was huge but in terms of what it cost us, I think this is bigger.)

  2. I think we will se a decent game from Rogers, 4 cat, 46 yds.. But i think Whalen wil have a very good game, specialy if TY got a lot of attention.. Coby could also have a HUGE game in front of him!! :D

I'm with you on Whalen. Seems like BB will pay a lot of attention to Hilton and Fleener and that will potentially open up Whalen for a big game. I do think that Rogers is good for three catches around 50 yards or so with a goal line fade for a TD.

All of this is subject to change if the Colts bring their running game. If we can force them to bring a safety down then Hilton will go off.

  3. It was definitely frustrating seeing our DB's getting picked and KC getting first downs off of it but I liked the more laid back refs we had. There were many plays where I was shocked that we didn't get called for defensive holding and a couple plays where I think either Sheppard or Walden jumped on the runner while he was already on the ground. I'd say it balanced out pretty well.

  4. We have more to play for than the Chiefs. We can still move up in the seeding process with a win.

I just find it highly unlikely the Chiefs stealing the division from the Broncos, the same team that swept the season series. They will stay at the 5 seed barring a huge collapse from the Broncos or themselves.

The Chiefs and Broncos have the same record. If the Broncos lose one and the Chiefs win out then they are the number 1 seed.

  5. I usually call Pat McAfee PacAfee. Just came out one day and it's stuck ever since.

I sometimes call Cassius V the same nickname that I used to call Tim Jennings but I'm not sure the forum would allow me to post it.

  6. Not sure that was the last time we'll play Peyton and the Broncos.

I rooted for the Colts the entire time of course but it was a little bitter sweet at the end when the camera focused on sad Peyton. Just looked as if he was thinking 'Man, I wish I was still in Indy and winning this game tonight'.

  7. I live in Indy, and don't recall much talk of the Colts leaving despite having some terrible teams prior to say 94 when Marshall Faulk was drafted. Things started to turn around then. If you think for a second Jim Irsay is like his dad... and would be willing to fire up the old Mayflower you are out of your mind.

I was 8 or 9 around that time but I remember the Evansville Courier and Press writing articles about possible locations the Colts would move to. I'm sure they were just trying to sell papers but I distinctively remember them mentioning that Evansville could be a possible location along with Los Angeles and maybe even Nashville. I'm sure the moving topic was only brought up by the media and never mentioned by the Irsays.

I'm not saying Jim is anything like Robert but I do think that he would have moved the team if they weren't making any money.

  8. Now as far as Dungy's statement goes... there may not be a Lucas Oil Stadium, but the Hoosier Dome aka RCA Dome was fine. I'm not sure why he seems to think we would be L.A. right now.

I remember prior to Peyton there was a LOT of talk about the Colts moving. Colts tickets were basically free and seemed like they rarely sold out. Yeah the Colts had the magical 96 season but other than that they were mostly the Colts.

I don't think it would be unlike an Irsay to pack up and move the team. Obviously we'll never know what would have happened.

  9. At some point, TY is going to have to take his wonderful speed and quickness and develop better route skills. The reason why I refuse to utter his name along with Marvin's is due to Harrison's god-like route running. A stab of the foot, a turn of the torso and the dude was GONE.

There are many ways to create separation, and speed/quickness is only part of this.

    A few examples;

Here (very first route in a tear-jerking mixture of MH's best moments), Marvin uses both his feet and just a slight turn of the head and shoulders to freeze the CB.

If TY can add even a smidgen of this aspect of Marvin's game to his own, then maybe, years from now, we can have this TY/Marvin conversation. As of now, TY doesn't even come close.

I could watch these videos all day.

T.Y. doesn't really remind me of Marv. I think Garcon reminded me more of Marv than T.Y. (minus all the drops)

  10. Chapman was an immovable object

He did well on most plays but there were a few times he got driven off the ball. I'm sure he'll only get better with more expereince.

I saw our d-line cutting their o-line on a few different plays. Correct me if I'm wrong but our d-line hasn't done much of that in the past.
