  1.   I would like to see Manning beat Brady one more time , It would be even better to see the broncos win the super bowl, If this happens I would hope that he ends his career at the top , I felt really bad watching him play  hurt this year kinda like an old dog that needed put out of his misery. You dont want to have do it but you know it needs to be done.

  2. My thoughts on the year, I started out   being mad  that the GM did not fix the problems that I considered  needing fixed (o-line) Then after believing what alot of the posters here were writing ( The GM must know what he was doing because he gets paid alot more than I do) I had hope that I was wrong , Now with one game left and the colts down two really good QBs ,Im thinking maybe this guy who watches every game with great anticipation and hope might know more than a guy who gets paid a whole lot more, I come to this conclusion after seeing the GM drag this franchise down with numerous really bad choices,I'm not going to list we as die hard fans know what they are! Bottom line is this season  has been SAD! Can they fix it  will  Andrew ever play again ? Will he be able to reach his potential, Time will tell and Ill be watching

  3. The NFL has put the officals in a no win situation because they have made the rules far to complecated, for example I'm not sure what constitutes a catch anymore and after listening to most of the telecasters they dont know either, This after having the ability to look at the same play from different angles and slowed down, yet the officials are supposed to do it in real time

  4.  Spot on!

Really The facts are most of the fans that love the colts know that the colts number one need in the off season was oline yet  with our first pick in the draft we pick a w/r if management had a clue most of these conversations would not be taking place. What would the colts record be if they would have drafted for need intead of being greedy and expecting luck to preform like an elite qb behind a high school line?

  5. Speak for yourself buddy.  You don't speak for all Colts fans, and you are incorrect when you say "we knew the Colts overachieved".  Some might think they underachieved, and nobody "knew" a loss at NE was coming.

    Stop with the nonsense.

The coaches are who we thought they were, and unless you know of better options sitting at home waiting for a phone call from Irsay, then they are who we are riding with this season.   Unless you want to cheat to win like Belichick, then we are going to lose games because every team we play is different and we don't have the answer for everything that every team throws at us.

I, for one, have noticed improvements from the coaches.  Except for a few notable bad days, the run defense has steadily improved in the last few years.  We can run the ball too, but sometimes the game dictates that we throw (like today).  Running the ball and stopping the run have been cried to the rooftops over the years, and it's actually starting to happen, so just BE PATIENT.

    [/quote

Did you even watch the game? The play calling was bad. The defense got burnt by a guy making his first start. I bet the patriots are licking there chops contemplating the b**t whipping there going to give the colts, Nonesense ya right Nonsense is picking a w/r in the first round when you need o and d-line .

How much did our 1st rounder help today or for that matter will for the rest of the year?

I wouldnt blame Luck for not resigning with the colts, he wont last another couple of years getting hit like that all the time.

  6. I agree the O Line will be better. We have Holmes healthy. That was the big worry last yr.

We played the same 5 for 3 straight games. That's encouraging. I hope they all sit Thursday.

Mewhort is going to be fine at RT. I am on of the ones that believed he was drafted to take over for Godser. By the end of the year we will have our bookends.

Louis isn't nearly as bad as the board makes him out to be. Herremans is looking better.

    It just preseason.

Louis was horrible it was on the table for everyone to see he was beat constantly I dont know who his replacement should be but there are some high school guards still available

  7. Give me a break. He tore up the best defense in football in the SB. He has been a winner ever since he got his first start...and his stats are up there with the greatest of all time. You don't go to 6 SBs by just cheating alone. The PSI had nothing to do with us getting crushed..guy is a winner....but yeah...he isn't acting like an innocent man (and likely isnt)...but what has happened on the field happened on the field...and he won. He likely made some poor choices with this situation but he wasn't the one that cheated with the Spygate thing. Thats on Bill...not Tom.

He would not have won near as much without cheating!
  8. Like not kicking off to Peyton Manning in 2004, instead trying to use the onside kick? The Colts scored 51 points that day. I don't see why he should get credit for things that seem to make the game more exciting if his team still gets curb stomped in the process.

I think he has gotten better since then along with more talent. I enjoy the the thrill of wondering if he is going to punt or fake it .I think he adds another dimension .
  9. Fisher is often hailed as one of the great coaches of the last couple decades. His record doesn't support the credit he gets, and while he has been QB challenged, there are other good coaches who have had success with mediocre QBing, and others who get mediocre QBs to play better. For me, Fisher is somewhere below Andy Reid and Marvin Lewis, in the neighborhood of Rex Ryan, Ken Whisenhunt, Ron Rivera... He hasn't had an above .500 team since 2008, and since then, his teams have averaged less than 7 wins/year. In the last 10 years, he's had two season above .500.

I don't hate him, don't think he's terrible. Just terribly overrated.

Seems like he always pulls something "legal"(not to be confused with the antics you get from New England) out of his hat at unexpected times trick plays or on side kicks ,lots of things that make the game more exciting
  10. How do you quantify who is better when you are talking about players that play two different positions on opposite sides of the ball

Well I would say that jj would be a better qb than ar would be d-end all around athlete would have to go to jj

theres three or four players that are close to the same level of qb as AR but no one has the skill set that JJ has

  11. Well maybe he will get traded to the pats to play QB for the first four games. Would serve both the pats and t-rich right

    *************************************************************************************************************

  12. What does one thing have to do with the other?

Well in my simple mind it would make more sense to have drafted D-line instead of offense we have plenty of scoring just cant stop the other team, we just out score them

I hope he is as good as everyone thinks I just thought we ,the Colts needed much more help on D than o

  13. Lol. Nice thread but I will leave the science to actual scientists ...

Yea the science is only good if it has the outcome you want,It did not stop you from picking apart the well report Face it they cheated the science proves it whether

or not you like it , Its funny how you pick and choose what crap you call Facts and what science you want to qoute

  14. The Russell Wilson stat isn't really a contrast. It's just a different stat entirely. Also, QB wins aren't a thing. Can't wait until the "this QB's record is X" stuff goes away entirely.

But point taken: Don't give up 29 points and the Colts will win 90% of the time. In other words, complete defensive failures pretty much doom this team. Not surprising, really.

Yet we draft a wr I just dont get it.
  15. You're an educated bright guy. Would you please give me your take on this exchange between Brady and the "deflator "

This is one of extensive texting between the two just when the investigation was beginning. There was never a text between deflator and Brady in the previous 6 months. I mean .. none of the conversation between these two appeared to be laced with any humor. You have to be a stooge to buy the "joke thing."

    Here ya go....

Later that day came more texts and calls.

    Then, later:

"FYI...Dave will be picking your brain later about it," Jastremski wrote Brady, referring to Patriots head equipment manager Dave Schoenfeld. "He's not accusing me, or anyone... trying to get to bottom of it. He knows it's unrealistic you did it yourself."

Jastremski added, "Just a heads up."

"No worries bud. We are still good," Brady responded.

In the Wells report, Jastremski says the words "knows it's unrealistic you did it yourself" were a joke, as cameras were on Brady during the game. "It" refers to deflating footballs.

*Brady * Did it. He told them to get the balls where he liked them. His reference to " still good" leads me to believe that they have not found out yet. No other explanation is valid
  16. I disagree. I don't see it hurting the team at all, as stated before our wrs were not very good at all in the NE playoff game. It was kind of a bigger need than people will admit.

Then why spend the money on the WR's they got in free agency if they arnt that good?
