  1. I'm thinking we should hand out some prizes to the winner/runner up

1st place: EIther Colts customized football, Colts cap, or mini helmet

    2nd place: Toothbrush/trading cards, pens/keychain

Again, just thinking but there will be prizes.

Sounds good to me. Do we all chip in a little something to pay for the prizes?

  2. I'm in....thanks for the opportunity, Andy. Unfortunately, I'll be traveling during the draft, so I'll have to take what the computer gives me. But, I'll be a very active member.

My Team Name is "Build The Monster"

    1. Where you from? - Jeffersonville, Indiana which is part of the metro Louisville, KY area

    2. Job - Litigation Support Specialist with a large midwest law firm, I'm based in the Louisville, KY office

    3. How long you've been doing fantasy football? - over 10 years, pretty much since its inception on the Internet

    4. Your favorite team? - Colts!!!

    5. Your favorite player? Peyton Manning is still my favorite, but Andrew Luck is quickly climbing the charts

    6. Why you decided to do Fantasy Football, and why this league? - I usually join a random league, but this sounded like a great league to be a part of since it's members of this forum

  3. When I watched the game, I didn't notice that on the first play, Brown was able to make contact with the DE to slow him down enough to free up Luck to make the pass. Wasn't a great block by any means, but that little bit of contact gave Luck the half second he needed to get the pass off.

  4. Good to see Luck with the beard that's trimmed at the jaw line...much better than the neck beard! Seriously, I love his composure, his humbleness and enthusiasm. He doesn't have a big ego, he knows his abilities and it looks like he'll maximize them for years to come. He made good decisions, his passes were on target, he didn't take a sack and had no turnovers.

  5. Hopefully, the coaching staff will read all of these posts and the problem will be solved!!! :sarcasm:

Give them some time...it takes a while to get an OL working together. Three of the five starters are new here and I thought they adjusted as the game went on. The OL is not going to be our strength, but at least we have a QB who can get out of the pocket when needed. The run blocking was good, which used to be our weakness.

    BE PATIENT, PLEASE

  6. I was as enthused about the off the field performance as much as the on the field performance in this game.

    1. I LOVE Pagano's enthusiasm and attitude. He told the team at halftime to go out and finish, and they did. I saw him patting players on the back as they came off the field, the assistant coaches were enthusiastic and it looked like everyone was having fun playing football. I know it's easy to have fun when you win 38-3, but I saw that upbeat attitude the entire game, and I think it's just the new attitude of the team.

    2. Andrew Luck was engaging on the sidelines...talking to teammates, both offensive and defensive players. He's already showing leadership traits and is very humble.

    3. This was a TEAM win....offense, defense and special teams. We can't rely on any one facet of the team to carry us...everyone needs to contribute.

    4. Fans were pumped up and I have no doubt we'll sell out every game and have LOS rocking again!

  7. As far as studio guys, I'm almost to the point of not watching any of the pre-game coverage. My list of those who need to find other work are:

Chris Berman - as stated earlier, the nickname thing is way old and I can't understand half of what he's saying, because he growls most of the time.

Stuart Scott, Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith - ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just because you say it louder, doesn't mean you know what you're talking about!

I don't expect ex-players to be great on TV, but Shannon Sharp needs to go....again, can't understand what he says most of the time. Others are tolerable.

In game announcers that irritate are Collinsworth, Simms, Deirdorf, Millen and anyone with the last name of Albert (fake sounding voices, and they all sound alike)

I think the studio crews are just too large....too many guys trying to talk, and they think they have to be comedians, too.

  8. I agree in the past the pre-season games meant nothing in regards to wins and losses. However, after last season and with all of the changes, I think a win this weekend carries some weight. I really believe a win would be a big confidence boost to this young team. If they lose, then it's not the end of the world, of course, as long as we come out healthy and learn some things about our team. I guess maybe I'm contradicting myself? Oh well, maybe I should get into politics? LOL

  9. I love seeing us develop an aggressive defense...one that will eventually dictate the outcome of some games. I think it's all about balance...some weeks your offense wins games, sometimes the defense, and every once in a while the special teams will determine the outcome of a game. Keep the opponents guessing!!!

  10. This is why NFL Network is your friend...if you are able to get it. They have done a decent job of covering the Colts camp activities as well as those of other teams around the league.

Regarding Clayton's comments, nice to hear that he was surprised by our offensive weapons. But I am more excited that the defense is showing a bit of a nasty edge! A few camp scuffles can actually be a good thing so long as no one is seriously hurt. No more soft Colts. I like the tone Pagano is setting in camp.

I do get NFL Network and thanks for reminding me I need to watch them a lot more. I'm liking what I hear from camp so far, too. More aggressiveness on defense, which will help our offense leading up to the season. The Monster is being built!

  11. At least someone showed up at Colts camp!! I was beginning to wonder if the only camp coverage we'd see was ESPN at Jets camp EVERY DAY earlier this week. I'm so sick of Tim Tebow mania in NY and the season hasn't even started. Guess I'd better get used to it, because it's NY and ESPN, so we'll be bombarded with that and all the Patriots stuff, as usual. Of course, the interview with Clayton was not aired on ESPN, but maybe he made mention of Colts camp. I've been watching so much Olympic coverage that I've been able to avoid ESPN for the most part.

But, it's all good...we can sneak up on the league this year, or at least the "experts."
