  1. Balance is so important....we all know a good running game opens up the passing game. If we can run, then Luck doesn't have to be the man every week and he can manage a game more effectively. Keep the defenses honest so they'll have to look for the run or the pass.

  2. I thought our defense played well, we limited their rushing game and allowed just 13 points. Offensively, we were obviously running the ball more and had good success with that aspect. Luck's numbers were down, but he didn't pass as much, because he didn't have to. We had some drops and need to limit the penalties, too. It's a young team, dealing with injuries to key players and we have new guys in the line-up each week. Overall I think we're doing very well and showing so much potential when all the pieces fit into place. I'll take 3-3 at this point!!!

The Titans will be tough at home, but they're beatable. We'll play the game and see what happens.

  3. It was a weird thing to call timeout at that point. I don't understand why we punted at the end of the game with 7 seconds left and a fourth down. Why not run a play and let the running back scramble around to run out the clock, then just fall onto the ground once the clock hits 00:00? We punt giving Cribbs a chance at a return, which didn't happen, but it did allow the Browns one more play and we've seen weird stuff happen when teams do that lateral thing all over the field. It's too easy to lose track of someone and they break a big play. Just glad it all worked out.

  4. Funny how people post topics like this and then disappear when their point gets shot down. There's always someone looking for the dark cloud in the silver lining. Negativity never solved anything. It's good to be realistic, and yes, he's a rookie and will make mistakes. Show me a rookie who's never had growing pains? I'm excited about the future of this QB and this franchise.

  5. OT, and It's being picky, i realize...... but why does everyone type dominant as "dominate". Do they all really pronounce it ( Dominut )? That makes the most phonetic sense I guess......

    <End Rant> Back to Original topic....lol

Same as having a good "ideal" instead of a good "idea"...I hear that a lot!!

  6. Pre-Indy: Mike Curtis, Bubba Smith, Art Donovan, Johnny Unitas, John Mackey, Ted Hendricks and Jim O'Brien (his kick beat the Cowboys in the SB 5 which makes him an all-time great in my book!)

Indy: Jim Harbaugh, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Gary Brackett, Ken Dilger, Tony Siragusa, Jeff Saturday, Eric Dickerson (will never forget the night I found out he joined the Colts), Rob Morris (I have a #94 jersey),

  7. I don't care what ANYBODY says........this was a great start for us as a new team........yes there were mistakes....yes there were blown coverages.....yes there were missed tackles......yes there where a couple of injuries........

BUT for a NEW team.....full of rookies......full of new coaches......a rookie QB in Luck......a new scheme on defense and a new scheme on offense.....we did a far far better job than almost anyone expected.......

Come on.......with the exception of the 3 dropped balls by receivers....and the two interceptions out to deep right side of the field...we played our hearts out and did a very good job....a very good job....

THE BEST THING about all of the misques.....were that they were mistakes....and mistakes can be fixed.......DO WE SUCK......absolutely not....we made a handful of mistakes on our first time out........everything else was great....and they never gave up or quite when we were down......our OL is going to be killer......our DL is also going to be a run stuffing monster.......I can't wait for everyone to gel and become the MONSTER they will be...

We have the makings of a GREAT team and I am so excited to whatch them play on and get better every week........I love the colts.

We did a lot of the same things last year, but never overcame those issues with the personnel and coaching we had. This is a new team with new leadership and I'm confident these issues will be addressed and we will see improvement each week.

  8. I agree he should get more PT and probably will as the season goes along and he takes advantage of the PT he gets. He has the size and speed that I see more and more around the NFL. I envision him as being one of those big WR's that can go up and get a ball over a defender, and pick up a lot of YAC with his size and speed.
