  1. This is odd. I always got the vibe that Pagano was friendly and would do interviews, but I got the vibe he didn't care much for being in front of a camera. Apparently I was way off the mark. Anyways, I'll look forward to seeing this.

Chances are it's in his contract to do a show. But, if it's not in his contract, then I applaud him for doing the show. One of our local stations in Louisville would broadcast the Bill Polian Show. I think they chose Saturday night to air the show, which was taped in order to preview the next day's game.

  2. This was posted on Rotoworld a few minutes ago...I thought we had first dibs on players placed on waivers? I know it's complicated, hoping someone can shed some light on this. I'm not saying we should have claimed this player, just questioning why the Steelers got to claim him before us, unless we did something and I missed it.

Steelers claimed RB DuJuan Harris off waivers from the Jaguars.

A smallish scat back out of Troy, Harris spent the majority of last season on Jacksonville's practice squad before a late-season promotion. He's unlikely to make the Steelers' final roster with Chris Rainey and Baron Batch filling the same role.

  3. There's compelling arguments to sit the starters or play them a couple of series or maybe a quarter. The guys who need to play the most are the ones battling to make the roster. The outcome of the game is meaningless, of course. With the injuries we've had already, I'd be cautious and start the regular season as healthy as possible. Extra practice days between this game and the season opener are more valuable than limited game action, IMO.

  4. Thanks to FJC for his educational posts here. I read the article BrentMC11 posted a link to and what jumped out at me is the team approach in the front office. Grigson knows players all over the league, but he also consults with the coaches about players they know well, too.

This is a TEAM from top to bottom and I love it!

  5. So far, Pagano has been exactly what this young team needs in terms of a Head Coach. He's enthusiastic, obviously loves the game and his players. He's instilled a new energy that is very exciting to watch.

  6. I watched it and he discussed Austin Collie's situation...taking it day by day. He also mentioned he's pleased with the overall progress of the team, he likes what his assistant coaches are doing in their respective areas, too. It was an optimistic session. Had good things to say about Luck, Ballard, Hilton, the special teams play and others, too. Said it's going to be tough cutting the roster to the final 53...lots of guys at the same level, but if a player can perform on special teams in addition to their offensive or defensive position, that makes them more valuable.

  7. Can we waive Bob Kravitz? Seriously, I can understand waiving him as a business decision in hopes that he will retire and not risk his long-term health. If he decides to play for another team, then that's his decision, and if he ends up terrorizing us, then so be it.

I know if he ends up with another team and plays against us, our guys won't be going for his head like other teams have appeared to have done.
