  1. I was at the game and they showed the head shaving on the big screens. One cheerleader (Megan) agreed to have her head shaved if Colts mascot Blue could raise $10,000 to go to leukemia research....well, Blue raised over $22,000!!! The other cheerleader (Crystal) is a leukemia survivor and she also had her head shaved during the ceremony.

Later, in the 4th quarter, Jim Irsay walked Coach Pagano to the balcony of the Owner's Suite and when they were shown on the big screens, everyone in the stadium stood and cheered the coach. He was obviously very touched by the standing ovation and you could read his lips as he said thank you to the crowd. It was a very special day and I'm so glad I was there to see it all.

  2. Mines would have to be lack of pass rush and TOs. We got absolutely no pass rush on Brady, I thought Mathis coming back would provide a boost but not at all, even before his injury. Brady was comfortable back in the pocket and picked us apart. This can't continue for the season, QBs will continue to toast us.

We really need to start forcing more turnovers too.

That's because our pass rush runs up-field and passes the QB before he even steps up in the pocket. The Patriots pass rush was right up the middle most times and had pressure on Luck all day. Why don't we rush up the middle more? If Freeney and Mathis end up 10 yards BEHIND the opposing QB, we may as well just drop them back into coverage. That would allow our inside linebackers to blitz more up the middle.

We have a real problem tackling, too....lots of play that would have been losses or short gains turned into bigger plays and 1st downs due to lack of tackling skills.

We ran the ball well in the 1st quarter, then stopped running....it's not like we were down 3 TDs at that point and had to pass.

Sorry, just venting....there were lots of missed opportunities yesterday. Plus I just HATE losing to NE!!

  3. Welcome to the Blue Nation!!! I married a beautiful lady from upstate NY a little over 2 years ago, and she's finally going to move here to Indiana in January. All of her family are Giants fans, but they all respect the Colts so I never get any flack from them. Once she's here, I'm sure she'll pay more attention to the Colts, but I don't expect her to change her allegiance to the Giants. She'll have co-favorite teams to root for now.

Wife and I are going to the Colts-Bills game and we're very excited!! This will be our 3rd trip to LOS in the past 2 years.

    Glad to have you here!!!

  4. The games Sims and Nantz do means it's the feature game of the week for CBS so it should be on tv throughout the country unless you have a local game coming on at the same time then you would get the local game

I understand that....our local game would be the Colts anyway. I just don't like listening to Sims.

  5. Yes, he can and also leave virtually no time left on the clock for Brady to pull something out of his backside. Because, we'll play a soft "prevent" defense which will prevent us from winning. Why do teams still do that???? I'd rather someone score on a big play and leave me time to score. Don't let them march down the field in 10 yard chunks and then leave me with 10 seconds to drive 80 yards.

  6. Probably happens next year. We wont be winning our division the way the Texans are going and the Pats will. So, we will in all likelihood host the Dolphins or Bills or Jets next year. I would love for it to be the Jets so that we can get back one for this year though Revis might be playing???

Yes, let's bring on the Jets!!!

  7. I voted for Houston, since we will play them on the road every year. Plus, New England gets all the breaks and I hate watching them...not to mention I would love to have them off our schedule for a while. However, if we manage to win at New England, then that is always the sweetest win of the year in my book.

  8. We mixed it up last night and the lead allowed us to run the ball more and not depend on the passing game as much. My one criticism is the use of the WR screen....it rarely works and teams are always ready for it. I know if you get that one key block it can go for a big gain, but that block doesn't seem to happen. I like all the motion on offense prior to the snap, the different formations and our RB rotation. The one play that almost broke for a huge gain was the end around to Hilton...would like to see us take advantage of his speed more. Alas, I'm not a coach and don't pretend to be one. I know every play is designed to work, but defenses prepare to stop those plays, too. The more different looks you can show, the better the chance of a couple of them resulting in huge gains, or TDs.

  9. I know Andrew Luck will grab most of the headlines, but we're getting great production from our rookies this season!!! Allen, Fleener, Ballard and Hilton have all made big plays so far this season.

I'm no Colts historian, but I can't recall a rookie class making such an impact.

  10. I'm sure this will be an area to be addressed with free agency and/or the draft. I would like to see some playing time go to others on the roster. Butler played well during the time he was in the game.
