  1. They are who I thought they were, the Chiefs are a good team. You don't win twelve games without being good I need a definition on "legit". If you mean Superbowl contenders, ask yourself was Baltimore "legit" last year?

  2. The Chiefs are taking advantage of a perfect storm in weak scheduling. Any game that had any pressure attached namely Denver twice and San Diego (second meeting) the Chiefs looked below average. This is a big game, hopefully this trend continues.

  3. Chiefs Inactives: QB Tyler Bray, WR Dexter McCluster, LB Justin Houston, C Eric Kush, G Rishaw Johnson, T Branden Albert, TE Anthony Fasano

Sweet, no Houston and the loss of Albert could make a difference. *McCluster is the kind of guy that normally hurts the Colts, I'm glad he is out too.(nevermind)

  4. How many of those were will PM behind center?  We were a slightly different team then......but more importantly, Kansas City WAS a different team back then.

Now they are #3 in offense, and not too shabby on defense.....I don't think they are too worried out there in KC land.

No, KC is more or less the same team, with a different QB (game manager) and coach. They just gave up 41 to the Bolts, 31 to the Raiders and got shalacked by the Boncos twice. The Chiefs are a fraud who have greatly benifited from a last place schedule and matchups vs. the NFC east and AFC South. Show me one example of the Chiefs winning a big game this year (philly or dallas)?

  5. #1 we have a great vet qb that could win the game. may even have a special

    connection working with DaRogers

#2 the weather will be really bad and could cause injury to Luck

#3 to add to #2; especially with our OL and we kind of don't know who will be

    able to play or not

#4 we really don't need to win this game (would be good if we did) and we can

    with our experienced backup qb

#5 we will be playing KC in two more weeks no need to show them the best that we have

#6 it is a very slim chance that we can improve our 4 seed. NE will not lose

both remaining games---Denver will not lose both of their remaining games--and the bengals has the best chance of losing both or one I thing would be needed for us to move to the #3 seed

#7 by keeping our #4 seed we already know who we will be playing and I think it would be the best team to win at home against. the team whoever it will be getting that #6 seed will be playing some good football and kind of a hot team like the ravens were last year

ok let me hear what ya'll think of this

  6. Get real, this thread illogical and moronic.

    1. These are meaningful games, in the event of a three way tie, the Colts (with Cinci, and NE) win the tie breaker if I'm not mistaken. People keep saying the Ravens have to win out, that is not necessary for the Colts to steal the 2 spot.

    2. This team needs to improve and experiment with scheme and players, these games are critical to the teams development and that certainly includes our QB.

    3. This idea is obscene and stupid, this thread should be locked, total garbage!

  7. Probably not, but their defense is killer though.

Bolts got 41, the Chiefs are not for real, they are an anomaly playing a last place schedule, and matching up with the worst division in football (AFC South) and the second worst (NFC East) no big wins in pressure games.

The raiders scored 31 against them

This defense roasts bad teams with bad qb's, like the Raiders and Redskins. Their signature win was against Dallas or Philly, people should take a good look at their schedule it is a quite unimpressive resume. How anyone can look at their results this year, and be so damn sure they are going to kill the Colts is beyond me.

  8. it was in Indy last year.

They have a much better qb and much better coaching. A better team. Last year, especially with upgrades at those spots, means nothing

The game was in KC http://www.nfl.com/schedules/2012/REG/COLTS

and the team is more or less the same outside of adding a very average to below average QB. We can agree to disagree about relevance, but not the FACT the game was in KC against mostly the same players, almost a year to the day later.

  9. I hope he performs well, because unfortunately we are stuck with him. But, I think the odds are slim that he ever plays to a level that justifies the trade or using a 1st round pick on a RB.

With the luck of the Browns, he will probably beast out in the playoffs. Maybe drop that first round pick closer to the 30 spot.

  10. Hes has had more than enough time to get up to speed, it not like we are asking him to play QB. Teams take RBs off the street and have them playing at a relatively high level frequently.

I don't have solid proof of what was expected.  But, if you don't think the circumstances and timing of the trade indicated that Grigson and the Colts were expecting immediate production from Richardson than you need to go back and look at the situation and time line again.  The trade would look even worse than it already does if Grigson made that trade when he did without an expectation of an immediate contribution from Richardson.  Don't kid yourself Grigson would reverse that trade in a second if he had the opportunity.

The Rookie comment was directed to more posters than just you, but you compared him to Werner on more than one occasion; even in the first sentence of your response you refer to what rookies did again ... you don't have to come out and call him rookie for it to be obvious you are viewing him in much the same light. Which gives him a pass he doesn't deserve.

I only compared him to Werner because he was drafted about the same slot that the Browns will use our pick in 2014. Lets see what Trent can do in the playoffs, might change your mind, then again maybe not.

  11. Terrible and useless comparison ... Richardson is not a rookie and we traded for him with expectations of immediate production.

Again Richardson is not a rookie ... yes lets all be patient and wait give him another year so his rookie contract is almost up and than if we want to keep him we will get to pay him all the money we supposedly saved because Cleveland had already paid his bonus.

I do not know why people insist on acting like Richardson is a rookie and deserves the same patience afforded to rookies.  People need to quit trying to compare him to players like Werner.  Werner is a rookie learning a new position with a far steeper learning curve than RB.  Richardson was brought in to give us immediate production and plays one of the easiest positions in the NFL for rookies to transition to; good running backs aren't that hard to come by and if you spend a 1st round pick on one for some ignorant reason they had better come in and be a stud in their first season.

I don't know who all is voting that they would rather have Richardson than the 1st round pick ... even Grigson wouldn't make that trade again. After seeing what he got Grigson would love to have that first round pick back.

Our rookies attended camp and were better prepared than a guy traded mid-season. Richardson had a solid rookie year in Cleveland. How the hell do you know what Grigson wants to do or what the team expected? Furthermore I never said TR was a rookie, Rookie!

  12. Colts have beaten these guys a lot, going back to 1990. The colts are 11-2 vs the chiefs including 3 playoff victories for the horse shoes. We are that guy to them, we got their number on speed dial. Larry Johnson was supposed to break the rushing record in 2006, the no punt Game 2004 in KC with a Preist Holmes fumble looming large, and how could we forget the bone chlling game in 1996 the kicker was frozen (literally). Len Elliot, I think.

  13. The pats will most likely get 3rd seed with the ravens 4th. Unless pats lose out. I dont think they will. But check this out. If the pats lose out and the dolphins win out...the dolphins take the 4th seed and the bengals get the 6th. Pats will be out !!! Otherwise they do get the 4th.

out of likes, I want tom to get home to his lovely wife earlier than usual.

  14. Yep, sack fumbles, interceptions, & extra possessions for Alex Smith and the offense cause our offense will struggle.

  15. With Cincy's loss last night, if Indy, NE, and Cincy all finish at 11-5, then the Colts get the #2 seed.  Three way head to head doesn't apply since we didn't play the Pats.  Conf record is next - Colts would be 9-3 and the Pats and Cincy would be 8-4.  The 2 NFC losses we have means one less AFC loss if we all go 11-5.  That's why I said last month that the loss to AZ wouldn't hurt us as much as a loss to an AFC team.  Cincy would be #3 and NE is #4 (tiebreaker goes back to head to head for the 2 remaining teams).  The irony is all this is that we could actually be rooting for a NE win in week 17 if Cincy also finishes 11-5.  We'd be rooting against NE next Sun against the Ravens and rooting for them against Buff.

Thanks for clearing that up, what about if the Ravens win the North, I assume we still have the tie breaker on the pats due to conf. record, with 2 wins by the Colts and Ravens.

  16. last year has no bearing on this game.

    How is that being dense?

It is relevant because past performance is a good indicator of future performance. The Chiefs are the same team as last year with better coaching and a descent game manager qb. Obviously you don't get to carry over any advantage points wise, other than knowing we have won there, against those players (mostly) just last season in a dire situation. I don't want to overstate things but I find it to be as good an indicator as you can ask for all things considered.
