He's 5-11 190, so if he puts on some weight we could be looking at a future star!!
Through college he'd probably grow another inch and then bulk up a bit too. I think he'll probably end up being around 6" 205 around draft time. Perfect sized.

I definitely see the logic in the trade. I hate giving up a 2nd rnd pick in a rebuilding year as much as the next guy. But a potentially great player at a HUGE position of need, it was a justified move I think. Pagano will coach him up and i trust him to put Davis on the right track.

you just dont take a G with top 10 pick. A T everyone would, but you said you rather have a G than him.
im sorry but i agree, id much rater take Loutelei than a G. i do understand the thing of protecting the franchise but cmon if you use a top 10 pick on a G you are wasting a pick IMO. an inside DL guy would be much better choice imo. it would be like what the Raiders with Mcclain and Seahawks wtih Curry did...the best solid all around player on the draft...OK pick but when you are picking in the top 10 you are looking for a star not just a starter
Agree absolutely, we need the Haloti Ngata style presence in the DL. It is a lot easier to find OL talent in FA than it would be to find someone with Lotulelei' skill set.

Would love t have a Ray Lewis of our own, but ILB is nowhere near our biggest need .
DL
SS
OLB (Pass rusher)
In that order.
-
well, he is a senior
I know I just meant I need to watch him against another 1-2 O Line to make sure he can keep this pace and skill level up week in and week out. Would love to see him opposite Redding to get some interior pressure and run help.

I like the Chiefs as a team, but the organisation and management is absolutely terrible. A top receiver is never going to be able to shine when they have one aggressively mediocre at best QB, and a over utilised backup that is even worse. I don't blame Bowe for leaving, I think it'll be interesting to see where he lands in FA this year, but I hate to see what it is doing to the team.

Nice to know that something is going right with this season. Now if only we can start getting some INTs from this pass defence.
-
Nice looking RB, I like his acceleration and speed. Hard top tell for high schoolers but he looked big. I'd like to see us pick up a tail back of about 6" 215lbs. No more 5"9 190 lbers. If he can keep his speed and cutting ability, and pull it off against some higher quality defences then I can see him being very successful. And talk about getting a great namesake!
But in all seriousness I hope we don't still need a quality RB by the time he becomes eligible.
-
Very impressive, but I'd need to see more than one game. I can't really tell how much of that was him being great or the blocking being poor. We consistent performers, not one hit wonders.
-
I like Arians no nonsense coaching style. But I don't like his play calling as an acting HC
-
Ideally?
We trade down from the 7th pick to the 9th pick, picking up 4 first round picks somehow. Selectin Hankins, Jones, Warmack and T'eo.
But somehow I doubt that will actually happen.
-
Witty.
And true.
They would probable act as 3-4 ends opposite Redding
-
I don't know if I would say that at the start of the second quarter they were up 3-0. By half-time maybe but yeah that can happen when you give up 21 points in a quarter.
Sorry, typo, I meant to say end of the second quarter.
-
The entire team, especially the defence, looked beaten by the start of the second quarter.
-
they arent worth 1st round picks imo
A good one is.
-
I don't generally agree with getting NT that low either, but I doubt we have much of a choice. A pass rusher won't help stop the run.
-
We have to have the Ngata style presence to help stop the run and get some pressure on QBs from the inside!
-
I hope Arians will want to stay and grow with the offence. I hope we have another Tom Moore/Peyton Manning situation.
-
RB 1st round 2014/2015??
Sound about right to me.
-
7-9 but only because we have a ridiculously easy schedule. But then again I thought the Jets were reasonably easy. A team with not 1 but 2 aggressively mediocre QBs, an injured No1 receiver, a decent but not great RB, almost no pass rush and a defence without its best player. I am leaving myself a lot of wiggle room until I see us against the Browns.
-
My only argument is that they were also a young rebuilding team last week, who went up against an experienced Packers team, and in the second half made them look bad, I mean really bad.
-
We need:
A running back who can actually run.
A receiver who can actually catch. (Who isn't named Reggie Wayne)
An offensive lineman that can actually block. (That isn't named Castonzo)
A defence that can tackle a power back.
Not much to ask for is it?

Where was the tenacity that the defence showed last week, the drops this week were maddening. Cromartie picked up more yards for our offence than our run game probably did. A Dwight Freeney that should never have been on the field. A below-par Andrew Luck. There was no pass rush. And the cherry on top of this particularly awful sundae, the Colts O line had more holes than a pound of Swiss cheese.
-
Cromartie has probably got more yards for us than any of our receivers have.
Dwayne Bowe a colt?

I heard Miami like him as well, but I'm all for signing him as a FA in the offseason if he truly wants out of KC.
