I like the moves Grigs has made so far, I was a bit surprised that Vontae got that much guaranteed but then I seen Talib's contract last night. Now Vontae's looks really good. Here is a list of some positions that will be filled via Free Agency, and who I think we should take a look at.
Center- Evan Dietrich-Smith, Brian De La Puente, Ryan Wendall, Jonathan Goodwin
Goodwin would be a temporary 2 year starter as we draft or groom a player. The other players would be a direct replacement for Satele.
Safety- Chris Clemons is the top safety left and I would not mind having him, I like Major Wright though. younger than Clemons 25 yrs old he will be entering his prime, cost less than Clemons, Wright stats the past 3 seasons----222 tackles, 9 ints, pick six every year, 2 fumble recoveries, and 3 forced fumbles. He beats Clemons in every category even with Clemons playing and extra season. I like his ball hawking ability matching up with Landry's thumping skill.
CB- I would like another top CB and let go of Toler, Munnerlyn comes to my mind. If we keep Toler I would sign a cheap CB like EJ Biggers for when Toler goes down....He had a off year last year and at 26 yrs old he has a chance to improve. He was rated top 20 corner in the NFL in 2012. You could get this guy for about 1 mill BARGAIN.
WR- Everybody wants to get Nicks or Decker. These guys are gonna command some $$$$$, Nicks less. I would love to have them but to what cost. I would not mind if we rolled the dice on Sidney Rice or Kenny Britt, and for depth ....Denario Alexander to practice squad for if he gets healthy. There young, BIG targets for Luck, and cheap injury risks with high ceilings. We have a decent receiving core now with everyone improving with another year under there belt and Reggie coming back. Britt may be a locker room issue though.
