The "NFL World" is "roasting" the new uniforms?  Looks like a handful of random cherrypicked comments that are negative.

I could easily create my own article that says "NFL World praises new colts uniforms" and then link 10 random nobodys who said something positive.

    1) AR won’t start until week 12 (after the bye).

    2) Leonard won’t play week 1.

    3) Our secondary will have a rough start with all the youngsters fighting to be starters.

Edit: 4) Ryan Kelly will be our worst Olineman this season.

I guess you don't understand the phrase "bold prediction" means.

What's number 5 for you.....Taylor will be our leading rusher if healthy?

    1) Richardson’s first start is Game 5 vs. the Titans.  Doesn’t seem fair to put a home opener against Jax on AR’s shoulders, and Minshew gives us the best chance to win.  Let AR learn how to prepare for a game during the first quarter of the season.  If we can come away with at least two wins during that time period (Texans and Rams?), we’ll still be in the thick of things when AR leads us in a very winnable game against the Titans.

    2) Danny Pinter doesn’t make the team.  He was beyond terrible at OG last year, and I’m not sure that his usefulness as a back-up center is worth keeping him around.  French and Ekiyor back up the interior.

    3) Dallis Flowers starts at least 10 games.  With Rodgers likely suspended and three or more rookies in the mix (I have a feeling about that Cole Coleman UCFA from Elon), the CB competition will be chaos.  Rush and Brents had to watch OTAs from the sideline.  Moore and Flowers are the top veterans, and Flowers already looked good in OTAs.

Anyone care to make some bold predictions?

What has French ever done to warrant a roster spot?

    nonsense

Matt Ryan just threw for 4500 yards in 2020.

He also isnt 38. He is 36 and will be 37 soon, but he isnt 38.

He is a much better QB than Carson.

Also, if he wants to compare apples to apples.....look at where the 2021 Colts stood in March of 2021 if your gonna look at where the 2022 Colts stand in March of 2022.

Wow....can't believe it's taken this long for someone to complain about the lack of WR's on the roster.

Thankfully, they have now been alerted.

Seriously though....doesn't this thread belong in the Ballard complaint thread?

Also as shocking is the false bill of goods that inevitably follows these complaints that Parris Campbell, Michael Strachan, Ashton Dulin and Dezmon Patmon are primed and ready to break out.

Allen Robinson signs with the Rams. Another WR off the board.

We have plenty of cap space.

    What are we doing?

Prepare yourself for Hilton and Pascal to be resigned, and then a WR drafted in round 6.....who then gets talked up all preseason but produces zero when it matters.  See Daurice Fountain, Deon Cain, Dezmon Patmon, Michael Strachan.

    Wash rinse repeat.

The offense barely has any players on the roster.  That's a fact.  There are only two sources, free agency and the draft.

His plan is to not have anybody under contract on offense, and then to rely upon getting them in free agency or have the players fall to him in the draft the right way?

Does that sound like a plan?  Not just a different plan than mine, but any reasonable plan at all?

Or is the situation a culmination of previously bad decisions coming to a head in one offseason?

Fact, and the defense isn't much better.

    -No starting qb

    -One starting caliber WR

    -No established pass catching TE

    -No LT

    -Zero OL Depth

-2 unestablished second year DE's with high upside, with zero behind them besides a 2nd bust who's been a ghost ever since he was drafted.  Amazing this position is so barren considering all the talk we've heard from Ballard since day 1 about what a high priority it is and considering all the draft capital that's been put towards this position.  Ballard must really suck at evaluating DE for us to be in this position 5 years later.

-2 good starting DTs.  Zero behind them.

-3 decent to good cbs.  Zero behind them.

-2 decent safeties.  Zero behind them.

    1 undependable injury prone placekicker.

We have holes ALL OVER this roster, with the means to address maybe 60-65% of them, at the absolute best.

This is a poorly put together roster.  Ballard top 5 GM?  Laughable.

Watson is gonna be a problem for a long time.  I think next game we finish more of those potential sacks and win more comfortably next game.

Yeah.  He was a real problem with those zero TD passes and 2 turnovers.

As long as they continue having him play hero ball and pay him 40 million per year, Watson and the Texans are going absolutely nowhere and will be causing nobody problems.

Pascal had 700 yards with below average QB. We have Johnson and Fountain. This guy isn’t elite. He isn’t a upgrade to the these three guys.

Johnson and Fountain?  What the hell have either of them ever done?

The Texans will win. Watson gets better every week.

    No, he doesn't.

His performance is almost always dependent on the defense he's playing against.  The better the pass defense, the more ineffective he is.

The top pass defenses he's faced this year according to Football Outsiders advanced defensive efficiency ratings are:

    Carolina - #3
    KC - #5
    Indy - #6
    Bal - #8

    His combined numbers are 92 / 138 917 Yards 2 TDs 5 INTs

So, your statement is patently false.

If it was any other Houston player I could see your point. J.J. Watt is a down to earth guy. Really wish he was a colt as his character is a perfect fit. My unit responded to the Houston hurricane flooding the other year, guess who was at the first responders tent serving meals in the evenings for 2 days, without any media presence either. J.J. Watt. Not to mention all the millions he donated and raised.

Some guys you just hate to see stuck on IR, he’s one of them. Plus the implications are huge for our division

Absolutely nobody could contest that Watt is a quality guy.  Not even a matter of opinion.....it’s a fact.

    Ummm... you're a Colts.com message board poster...

Does that mean what you say should carry zero weight with the rest of us?  :P

    On something like that.....yes!

If Tom House comments on Luck's velocity, i'm listening.

If "ColtLover4Life" from Colts.com comments that Luck just doesn't look the same after viewing the game closely on tv from his couch.....I really don't give a crap.

It wasn't about the number of throws. He was throwing a ton from game 1.... It was about the average depth of target and about the velocity on his balls on any throw over 15 yards dowfield...he was dinking and dunking a ton and whenever he tried some more ambitious passes the ball seemed to float on him and lack velocity.

Yeah, I remember people *said* there was a "lack of velocity."  I never saw any lack of velocity, though.  And I know there were no facts to substantiate such a statement.  Only Colts.com message board posters were saying that....which carries zero weight with me.

Why do we keep doing this when we all thought Luck's arm was shot the first 4-5 weeks of the season while he was getting it back in shape after returning from his injury and while we were trying to avoid killing Luck because neither AC nor Smith were yet staring and the run game was non-existent?

Numbers are good to have, numbers without context are useless. What's this incessant desire to prove Jacoby is playing close to Luck's level? He's not. And he very likely never will. Believe me, this is NOT a comparison you will want to be making in the long run. Nothing good will come of it for Brissett. Let Brissett succeed or fail on his own terms.

we knew it wasn’t shot, though, when in week 4 he threw it 62 times for 464 yards.
