You can't evaluate Pacers players correctly, . Stop trying to evaluate colts players
I'm not evaluating players, just stating facts. With all the money available, Ballard could have bought a better TE3 than Mo Allie Cox.

Ballard is always preaching competition, yet the only FA WR he brought in was Devin Funchess. Devin was not going to push any of the young WR's to sweat making the roster.

Ballard has way too many 4th string/borderline NFL players on the roster, like Mo Allie Cox. Too many prospects on Chris Ballard Scholarship. With all the resources available, Ballard should have brought in better players to fill out the roster. No reason Mo Allie Cox should have had his roster spot locked in. I don't want to only pick on Cox. He's one of several unproven players that had their roster spots locked up.

There should be a half dozen firings at season's end. The NFC East does not need any coaches as we have witnessed this year so no offers will be coming from any of those teams.
Pat Shurmer
Adam Gase
Jason Garrett
Matt Patricia
Dan Quinn
Doug Marrone
Freddie Kitchens
Will all join Rivera in the distinction of being fired.

Ballard must stop being stubborn, and bring in some difference makers. Either trade draft picks, sign FA's, or both. Houston traded a lot for Tunsil, and now they have a good OL. Draft picks are way too hit or miss. Ballard has as good of a chance to draft another Tyquon Lewis as Darius Leonard. I don't like these odds. Those that think Ballard is a draft guru are delusional.

You know your offense is struggling when you are counting on Devin Funchess to give you a spark.

Ebron looked pretty good last week. Did not seem to be limited when he was running after the catch. Injury seems very suspicious. Never thought Ebron would quit on his team.
-
Ebron had a terrible season. Ballard needs to draft a TE in 2020.

Give him a lifetime ban, and reevaluate in two-three years and see if he's learned his lesson, then possible reinstatement if warranted.....Ray Rice used his fist, Myles Garrett used a weapon(Helmet) and Rice is out indefinite. Make an example for future conducts detriment to the team and the NFL....
By far the worst take. Lifetime ban? For a guy defending himself being attacked by 3 guys? You must be trolling lol.

It's a joke Mason Rudolph hasn't been suspended for multiple games. He started the fight, and escalated a tense situation. Kicked Garrett in the groin, and tried to take off his helmet. Myles was being held back, by two men, and Rudolph was still coming forward aggressively. Garrett acted in self defense, and the 6 games suspension is comical.

Brissett's health is still a question. So we cut Hoyer and then unproven quantity Kelly is only QB left on roster with playing Jags and rest of tough second half schedule.
Its like driving uninsured and going full carpe diem.
Bad idea is bad
Kelly is an unknown, which gives us a better chance of winning than playing a known bad QB. If Hoyer has to start another game, the Colts are guaranteed to lose. There's a reason Hoyer was unemployed before Ballard signed him.
-
If Hoyer either starts a game, or has to play significant minutes, the Colts will lose this game. Hoyer is a bad, turnover prone, never very good NFL QB. Why even take the chance of having to play him? Ballard should cut Hoyer and find another backup QB. Chad Kelly or someone else would give the Colts a better chance of winning if they must play.

If Ballard doesn't want to buy FA's, he must significantly improve his drafting. Look at all the WR's he passed on: Deebo Samuel, Terry McLaurin, AJ Brown, and DK Metcalf (who looks like a future all pro). Drafting Paris Campbell shows that Ballard has a lot of work to do evaluating WR's.
-
Firing Dave DeGuglielmo was very stupid. If you fire a successful coach, you better make sure you hire an even better replacement. The current offensive line coach should be fired.
-
When does Ballard get held accountable for his culture nonsense. The culture, that Ballard has created, just lost to a tanking team.
-
Why wasn't Quincy Wilson also waived? What has he done to prove he's an NFL CB?
-
This is why you don't build your WR group mostly out of prospects. When one doesn't pan out, you are left with a very weak group.
-
Why would Ebron want to be more involved when he is not good at catching the ball? If you cannot trust him, you cannot play him.

Ballard's biggest blunder, by far, was holding onto Adam Vinatieri.

So what kicker is available for the Colts to sign?
I think Ballard holds himself accountable so your question is mute.
Just because there are no reports on Ballard looking for another kicker does not mean he is not trying.
There are at least a dozen kickers that are better than AV. Laughable that our kicker cannot make extra points, has cost us two games, and he is still on the roster.
-
When does Ballard get held accountable for holding on to a washed up Kicker? It's embarrassing watching a kicker blow games for us.

Why was Rock playing today? I know he's a Rookie, but he isn't ready to be playing. Sit him down, and hope he gets better by 2020.
At this point, Cain is taking up a valuable roster spot, and needs to go.

This is my beef with Ballard. He's created a narrative, amongst Colts fans, that he is an expert at the draft. Narrative that we can trust him to nail the draft every year. This isn't true. Draft picks are 50/50, and Ballard has not shown us he is capable of exceeding this percentage. For every Darius Leonard, there will be Quincy Wilson.
