I like TY, but I think they should be willing to let him go. And I do think that impacted the choice to draft Dorsett. I hate to say it, but the Pats have been the best at cap management for a while now, and one thing they're consistent about is they never spend big $ on WRs.

It's not a huge deal, but I don't really like commemorating a game where you got blown out. It's obviously not my call, but if it was, I'd have one very simple rule: if you don't make hats for it, then don't make a banner for it.

Kansas City.

I just think it's still the Pats. And it's not just that they've had our number. They're just a good measure of toughness. If this year's Colts team is tough enough, mentally and physically, to beat New England, then they're tough enough to win it all. If not, well....

8 years, $200,000,000.00

I think he'd have a .500 or better record in the games he started, but I think we'd be lucky if he lasted through week 10.

Not ten, but here's one: Luck has the kind of season that makes Jim Irsay regret waiting on his extension, and he signs the NFL's first $200 Million contract.
-
In order to win titles then the lines need to be better than average or good. Average lines are fine for
showboating during the regular season, but to go far in the post season the lines need to be top notch.
I don't totally agree with this (almost), but I liked this post mainly because you know the difference between "then" & "than".

One night these Mayflower trucks rolled into town, and the next morning Indiana had an NFL team.

In his 1st 3 years, Luck has thrown about 1800 passes. Of those, about 300 were thrown to this group: Avery, DHB, Rogers, Whalen & Brazill. Almost exactly 1/2 of those were actually caught. I don't think it's a stretch to say that there was room for improvement in WR depth.

I think it would make for a great show, with several interesting storylines. But no, they shouldn't do it. Even if they weren't exemptigible.

TY, AJ, Moncrief. Carter & Nicks as 4th & 5th WRs? Sure!
-
What's wrong with Chip Kelly?
I don't think it's Kelly. I think Gore heard the rumors that the 9ers were shopping Kaep, & got sacred that he might be playing with him again.

But there is a contract now. They don't have to release him. They might be bluffing, but I don't know if he'd call their bluff. (Then again, the whole story might be made up.)
Edit- looks like he's been released, so unless he agreed to some terms 1st, it looks like he's free game. Go for it!

That is the dumbest thing I've ever read. There's no contract between him and the Texans once they release him. He's free to go.

AP will probably retire, then change his mind & sign with the Pats for 100 bucks a game & some free lobster.

How does that not make sense to you? Of course it's an option, and it's a good one at that. Taking a field goal is always a solid option when it puts you ahead by 2 scores with 4 minutes left in the game. If anything, it was the right call. Better than passing for the endzone, risking an interception and giving manning the ball with 4 minutes and a one score deficit.
True. The home loss to the Eagles is a good example of this very point.

Josh Chapman. Stuff the run, & get pressure up the middle.

I don't think Luck will be extended this season. But yeah, it's only going to cost more year after year. Good thing the cap is going up.
Just my opinion, but I think the Colts would be crazy not to go ahead and get Luck's extension done this off-season. You know you're going to pay the man, so don't mess around. Get him signed, so Grigs can know exactly what he has to work with.

Bayless isn't a real person. He's an actor playing a role on TV, reading from a script written to get a prescribed response from a selected audience. Kinda like Rush Limbaugh.

I agree that Boom needs to work on ball security (duh.) But with our two best RBs out, and TRich iffy even when healthy, I think the Colts have these 2 options:
1.) You can run the ball, but you might have a fumble at some point in the game.
2.) You can't run the ball.

Neither team has beaten a good team on the road yet. I predict that will continue, 37-27 Colts.
-
I think the Colts & Pats are pretty evenly matched. Both have lost 2 road games, 1 in a blowout. Difference in records is 1 home game (Philly) that the Colts gave away. As far as I can tell, neither has beaten a good team on the road yet.
Colts hang an AFC Finalist banner

Yes, that's something they actually won, that's my point. Division champs, Conference Champs, SB Champs, get a hat, hang a banner. To quote Ken Nunn, it's just that easy .
