We are seriously hurting for news aren't we
Well they do not call it a "Reserve/Future" Contract for nothing!!! I thought Dominique Jones was a good find last year, and he played pretty well in the pre-season. He was waved a couple of times yet he is back with the Colts as well on Reserve/Future.
Last year our forum would have called Kelley 'camp fodder,' now we all have open eyes based on the Executive of the Year's handling of the roster....guys like Jones, Freeman, Hickman, Guy, Geathers, and Heard coming from the street to make plays.
We will not even go into the TY's of the world or Vick Ballards...or Dwayne Allens of the world in the draft.....HMMM...I guess I just did Just like Jake Killeen....show up....put your pads on and show Pags and Grigs you can play.....and you my friend will play! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This post confuses me.
-
I was just about to say the same thing: Strong enough to play DE, but enough hands to play WR.
Sounds like a diamond in the rough...he'll get worked out by Reggie it'll be cool
-
Height and development
Yeah I like the move...AFL receivers tend to be more physical, the kid played DE in college and WR???? I'm very much intrigued He and Fleener on intermediate routes is going to be interesting
-
TY is going to be scary next year....my God.....with Coach Pep's spread Offense....scary times...the smurfs will most certainly emerge next year.
-
We have Mathis but we need another warrior like player on the Defensive side....
-
Ed Reed is still the truth...Because I've been a long time fan of #TheU I've been a big fan of his. He's a leader and would be a great teacher to our young secondary.
-
Sorry folks, my list will be long. Not all were superstars, but they were all Colts, and I liked
these players from my youth through today-
Johnny Unitas, John Mackey, Bubba Smith, Tom Matte, Lydell Mithchell, Mike Curtis, Bert Jones,
Ray Donaldson, Chris Hinton, Rohn Stark, Albert Bentley, Bill Brooks, Duane Bickett, Andre Rison
(hated losing Hinton and Rison for Jeff George!!, Sean Dawkins, Quintin Coryatt, Jeff Herrod,
Tony Siragusa, Jim Harbaugh, Marshall faulk, Marvin Harrison, Ken dilger, Marcus Pollard, Chris
Gardocki, Jason Belser, Tarik Glenn, Peyton Manning, Edgerrin James, Chad Bratzke, Reggie Wayne,
Hunter Smith, Brandon Stokley, David Thornton, Marcus Washington, Dwight Freeney, Jeff Saturday,
Dallas Clark, Robert Mathis, Gary Brackett, Kenton Keith.... no no no just kidding! LOL, Bob
Sanders, Antoine Bethea, Adam Vinatieri, Pierre, Garcon, Austin Collie, and Andrew Luck.
Special mention- Eric Dickerson, Richard Dent, Cornelious Bennett, Ashley Ambrose
Love this list.....I was a big fan of The Goose....was happy he got his ring in B'more
-
I wouldnt mind Warmack...just hope he wears a jersey that covers that gut.
-
Tyrod Taylor isn't a terrible back up...Joe needs to chill
-
No Need....why is everyone so sentimental over him?????
-
If u are talking about the playoff games, that was revis on Reggie not sperm donor. I do remember cromartie getting burnt by garçon though
Sperm Donor is rude....but yeah he held Reggie in check this year. Was very physical with him.
-
Way too close but I'm happy the right man won!
-
I'd think he'd be the best fit in philly because he's a mobile back....which is key in a chip kelly offense
-
I'd like White River offense if it wasn't so gross
-
The Williams, Chapman and Redding line got me too excited...I'm at work getting giddy...Williams is a monster and I like his story, def Colts material
-
Cromartie is very talented...I've been a fan for awhile. People want to talk about him having a bunch of youngins but thats no one's business but his...he's a talented player large strong and versitile...he need a solid compliment to #23 to shore up the secondary and he'd probably come easier than Revis, considering the team wants so much to get bodies
-
I'd be curious to see if Saunders goes to AZ....him and Arians are pretty close.
-
Welp..I want him and now you can name your own price!
-
Ruksak.... My apologies in advance, this is going to be a longer response than I'd like... I'm going to try and address your concerns...
First, I won't waste a minute of your time defending the style of the story.... You didn't like it. Fine. Others did. Difference of opinion.
That's said, allow me to preface my comments by saying I'm no media apologist. I'm not in the game anymore and I don't like the business as it's run these days.... I bash the media regularly on my Stanford website that I'm on far more than I visit here....
But, there was no "rush to tell a sad story" You tell the story as it unfolds. This played out over weeks and months. And calling it a benign back-story misses the mark completely. I also don't buy the "media is deflecting blame..." Sorry, the blame goes to Manti and his family for perpetrating a fraud. (or, to the people who pulled the wool over Manti's eyes if you believe his story) And Manti did so as the captain of the most stories football program in America. That position alone gives him credibility.
The deaths occurred in late September. ESPN had a ND game a week or two later. ESPN.com senior writer, Gene Wojohowski (sp?) did an interview with Manti in the week leading up to the game. Last night, Wojo explained that he asked Manti for a picture of her and asked for permission to speak to her family. Manti said the family didn't want to do either and wanted to be left alone. Wojo said he did a Google search looking for signs of the accident she was reportedly in, or an obituary that might say something about the girl and when he found neither, he chalked it up to the family being very private.
The reporter tried to verify certain things, but the fraud was the fraud. Things may seem obvious now in hindsight, but if someone had floated this idea a month or two ago, they would've been laughed off this website. Teo had credibility. The reporter tried and was rebuffed. That's as far as it went.
Just FYI.... all major media outlets have been completely gutted in the last 5 years. (ESPN is the one exception. They made a good faith effort, IMO.) There are literally hundreds of journalists in Southern California -- like me -- who are no longer in their chosen profession. The economic implosion of 2008 did that. Nationwide, there are thousands of journalists out of the business now. There is no man power to try and track down a story like this. Which is why it fell to an on-line website. They can focus on one story.... a giant story even if you think otherwise. But this story is huge and won't go away quickly.
Manti is either naive and most gullible individual around... (that's the best case scenario) or, he and his family put forth this hoax... the guess is for two reasons...
1. to gain support and sympathy and votes for his Heisman run.....
or....
2. to cover-up the fact that he's gay.
If there's another alternative, I haven't read or heard about it....
So, those are your choices. This is not a small story. At the end of the year, this will easily be one of the top-10 sports stories of the year. Any list would be incomplete without it.
Again, apologies for the length of this response. I wanted to address your concerns.
I just figured he was gay and was ashamed of it ..... its 2013 he need to get over that....
-
Why? His personal life is none of my bussiness - I couldnt care less!
YET another example of the media creating/spinning stories for ratings vs simply reporting on them for legit value!!
And hth does having a girlfrield real, imagined or otherwise who passes away boost anyones personal image? Are you saying voters use sympathy as a reason to vote? Geeesh!
Voters def give votes based upon 'the story' that was Te'os biggest draw, the fact that he was such an inspiration.....between Eddie Lacy dragging him up and down the field and this...he's def dropped his stock
-
Graham is solid you all dont remember his performance against ND??
-
He's a natural OT in my opinion....nowadays the tackles have to be more athletic...Edge rushers are becoming bigger and faster...he's the prototype fo what teams should want in the future.
-
I had no idea watson was going to declare....DUDE IS A FREAK OF NATURE!!! I wouldnt mind having him on the team...but again I assumed he'd stay at FSU for another year.
-
kruger had no stats untill this year so lets just temper our expectaions on a 1 hit wonder. i still ike to have him but i wouldnt sell the house.
i rather go max starks instead of DRc.
I grew up with Max in Orlando...he's done. Way to hurt continue on.
that big FA WR
in NFL Draft, Scouting, and Free Agent Talk

Adams played with no heart.....def didnt use his height or athleticism to his advantage
