  1. He's slated as the starter in Detroit but its only a formality because he was on the team last year....a few blogs said JACOB LACEY may become the starter...with that said, dealing with this dude would be a waste.

  2. i dont agree..Tommy Z has done noting to prove he is a starter....Pollard of all people was the starter with the ravens not him.

I have hopes for him, and really want him to become a capable starter but i agree with the OP, i can see us drafting a S next year

You act as if Pollard is a joke lol, Tommy Z is solid in my opinion but he's behind a first ballot HOF in Ed Reed and Pollard, Pagano was he coach...he knows something we dont....

  3. I love the pick up....Given the Colts success with 1-AA Programs, HBCU's in particular (Bethea-Howard University, Mathis, AAMU) I think this will be another addition to that trend. Moreover, Lumpkin did attend AAMU. Mathis will serve as a natural mentor given the shared background and will no doubt provide the tough love that is an understood part of HBCU culture.... I think he's going to make the team and be an asset.

  4. A personal fave of mine is the Falcons Cheerleaders...A Sr Manager at my Consulting Firm just retired....probably because it looks strange to be an Exec at a big 4 consulting firm and still be shakin' her butt at the GA Dome....but she's bad....all of em are...sweet southern gals

  5. Robert Mathis tweeted yesterday that he spent time with Bob in California this weekend, making a point on commenting on how healthy he looked. Would be surprised if he lobbied for him at least.....also Bob is the biggest player I've seen face to face...he's short, but huge...so I know for a fact no one would disrespect him face to face you all are on this thread. Dude was a warrior.

  6. So how fair do you all believe the assessment of the Colts Secondary is in terms of it being terrible and one of the hindrances to any potential success this year? Me being an optimist feels as if our years of failures as a secondary has everything to do with the scheme. Seeing that the AFC South has improved overall in WR corps I think that has a lot to do with why this has been deemed a red flag but if we have more physical DB's I think it will be a step in the right direction

  7. The Colts will not be a pass heavy offense...I think the team will be more balanced than its ever been. I think Donald Brown is solid...and I'm looking forward to seeing Ballard...I think he has what it takes to be that late round finds that teams have discovered as of late (Foster, Forte, Helu).

And another thing...the Colts have had good RB's for years....they just weren't utilized...don't forget Dominic Rhodes was the true MVP of the Super Bowl the year we won

  8. No.

He hasn't done anything since roughly 06.

I get so tired of hearing how he "found" Garçon and Collie and McAfee as a testament to how he still picked good players. Every team in the NFL has solid contributors to there team that were drafted in later rounds. Every. Single. One. So how does that make him better than anyone else?

Garcon is going to be a bust in Washington....

  9. I really feel like folks forget about the positives of last season...I mean it was an awful season but the natural optimist in me allow me to look forward....with that said I think Moala didn't get enough attention...He's a monster folks....he played mean, and was aggressive eating up double teams and was a disruption up the middle. He has perfect 3-4 DE Size and 6'4" 290...Nevis is cool but he's short and stubby....I really expect to see Moala have his coming out party this year.

  10. Best Day of My Life...When I was living in Atlanta I made friends with a local sports writer....in the 2007 season the Colts played the Falcons on Thanksgiving...it was a great game...the Colts beat the crapoutta the Falcons, Bethea put one of the Falcons recievers to sleep with a devastating hit over the middle that along with the Press Room Thanksgiving spread was perfect...but then my buddy asked me if I wanted to down to the locker room....OF COURSE I DID!!! So when I got down I went to Peytons Locker while everyone interviewed him but I actually had convos with Bethea and Bob Sanders...Hella cool cats, they knew I was a fan by my demeanor but we cracked some jokes and I left...great time...SN:Peyton seemed to be the biggest person, physically on the team....it kinda messed me up a little.

  11. I think we have Percy Harvin in T.Y. Hilton...he's going to serve as the x factor, wild card type athlete role that Harvin plays....Plus Harvin has issues with migraines and he's sort of a diva.....I've been a Hilton fan for a few years now living in Florida and there are basically the same type of player without all the attitude.
