  1. We have to get pressure on the QB, because without Davis our corners cannot cover right now. Otherwise, I can see this being a long game, because passing success will most likely open up their run game which is pretty good from what I've been able to see.

Miami's greatest strength is their O-Line...they're awesome...the front 7 needs to be prepared and ready for a very physical game.

  2. I dont get why this is gettin' beaten into the ground....RB by committee is what we're doing and it's what works in today's NFL...We have an awesome committee....I was not shocked that Moore was cut because its clear we have what we need to beat an DLine down...

  3. I think the comfort and rhythm will come with time. A lot of what the Redskins are doing is from Baylor's playbook. But Baylor's playbook is a college playbook and not a pro playbook, and that's for a reason. The college game is becoming more and more about the shotgun, spreading your WRs, stretching the defense, and having a mobile QB. Defenses are less disciplined, so offenses can get away with that in college. The NFL is a different story. It's like Newton last year. He exploded onto the scene and made it look easy. A lot of what the Panthers did last year was option, deep throws, and shotgun. This year, defenses have figured them out and the Panthers' offense isn't doing anywhere near as well as it was last year. I expect the same thing with the current Skins offense. If they stay with it and don't change, they won't do well.

I like how we are developing Luck. Let him get used to running pro plays, reading pro defenses, making pro throws, etc. and then once he is comfortable, let him have more of a say as to what kinds of protection we use, what kind of routes the receivers run, etc.

Def agree...alot of experts say the Redskins Offense will be figured out before year's end

  4. I like what New England is doing with the 3 Headed Monster approach...the time of the feature back is long gone...

RB by committee is the smartest way to ensure longevity of your rb corps....I think Brown is the prototypical 3rd down back....but Ballard is an every down back and Carter makes an excellent change of pace back...he looked great yesterday....

  5. I think they like Tevasue. He's a dual use guy that can play DE and NT. Dixon is just a NT, and we already have Mookie so if they decide to activate Chapman I could see them getting rid of Dixon since Chapman is the higher priority.

When and if Tevasue gets back there are some decisions to make at DE as well. We currently have Matthews, Guy, Geathers, Redding, Moala, Nevis. A total of 6 DE and 7 if you include Tevasue. My gut says they will keep Tevasue. Guy and Geathers made some plays today, but there is not enough of a body of work for them to give Matthews the boot over one of those guys. Personally I've been wanting to get rid of Matthews for a while, but they see to keep him around for some reason. Something to think about!

I think I'd like to see Guy stay put...He's a rookie with alot of upside.

  6. It's funny, but it's almost like people have forgotten how bad last season was.

If Painter were still the QB -- this team is 0-6. Enjoy the fact that this team is .500 and the future is a lot brighter than it was at this time last year.

The Colts have a very good young QB -- and lots of $$'s to spend next year on a very good class of young FA WR (Wallace/Jennings/Bowe/Cruz) and OL (J Long / D Brown).

With a good 1st round pick next year and wise use of the FA $$'s, this team could well win 10 or more games and be in the playoffs next season.

I agree, I think the draft/free agency strategy is going to be much different than I originally expected...I think we will pay for a good Guard, or Center and a WR and Draft Defense......

  7. I think Andrew Luck is great....and to be honest I was on the RGIII side of the debate, hard core...but Luck is right for Indianapolis, he fits the personality of the city. I think he's a hard worker and he's learning what it takes to be a pro...and he's learning along with other rookies...I think that tends to get loss in the convo...This team is very young on the offensive side. He's a rookie...he makes rookie mistakes, but the expectations are so crazy high and while thats normal I think he's met my expectations.

  8. Really? Seriously? You think he fell only because he smoked a few times?

Guess you didn't hear about the fights with teammates....

Guess you didn't hear about the 4 children he has with 3 women....

His house has lots of over-sized closets told hold all the skeletons he has!

And why are you focused on me? I'm hardly alone here on this website in being concerned about Jenkins. Lots of people were/are. The guy brings his own giant set of luggage wherever he goes. The kids has issues.

He maybe freakishly talented, but he's got issues. That's the reality of things whether you like it or not....

Maybe because you called him out for no reason....besides if having multiple children from different women and a few squabbles with teammates makes you a poor football player unworthy to play in the NFL we wouldnt have anything to do on Sundays as there would be no league....Reality??? Please...

  9. The sentence is incomplete, IMO...

Janoris Jenkins hasn't done anything..... yet. And the key word there is 'yet'

It's the fear of what he ***might*** do that made him fall into the 2nd round. Lots of teams didn't want to take that chance.

For a 2nd round pick, I'm glad the Colts weren't one of them.

Get off your high horse, Talib has done a list of wrong things...Jenkins got caught smoking a few times...he's a kid they make mistakes....you must be perfect.

  10. Alameda Ta’amu suspended two games by Steelers after arrest

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced that rookie defensive tackle Alameda Ta'amu has been suspended for two weeks without pay, the first wave of punishment the fourth-round pick from the University of Washington will receive after leading Pittsburgh police on an alcohol-fueled chase early Sunday morning.

"Due to his actions this past weekend we are going to be suspending him for two weeks," Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said. "This suspension is without pay. He will not participate in any organized team activities, he won't be in meetings, he won't be on the practice field and obviously he won't be at our facility."

As the 109th overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Ta'amu signed a four-year deal worth $2.565 million that included a signing bonus of $433,312 and a 2012 base salary of $390,000. Under the terms of his suspension, Ta'amu, who has yet to crack the Steelers' 46-man game day roster, will lose two paychecks totaling $45,882.

Ta'amu's road adventure began at 2:30 a.m. ET on Sunday morning when he was observed driving the wrong way down a South Side street. After ignoring several orders from law enforcement to pull over, Ta'amu reportedly steered his 2006 Lincoln Navigator in the direction of police officers, who had drawn their weapons, but did not fire. Ta'amu slammed into several parked vehicles, at least one of which was occupied, before disabling his own vehicle and attempting to flee.

According to the police report, Ta'amu registered a blood-alcohol level of .196 percent, more than twice Pennsylvania's legal limit.

"We deem his actions a detriment to our efforts and we are treating it as such," said Tomlin. "The other ramifications and so forth of this situation that I am not at liberty to discuss at this time, but we thought it was very important that we act and act quickly in terms of addressing this and we can focus our efforts on the men that are playing and getting ready to meet this week's challenge.

"Obviously it's a disturbing incident, one that we take seriously as members of this community and the organization which we are."
