Is Leonard the next Jerry Hughes? I don't know what caused Hughes to leave the Colts but it seems that fans regretted it. Yes/No?

It really matters how much Leonard can get back as a player. I imagine the Colts staff determined he was capped, which was the reason he was released him now. If they assumed he wasn't completely capped, then they would have benched him, tried to renegotiate his contract and then release him if that didn't work this off-season.

Best move the FO has made in four years.  Now dump/trade Nelson and I am a believer again.

You'll find something else to complain about I'm sure. In fact you were someone who thought GM > AR, so I'm sure you are ready to % on him next year.

He wasn’t playing well and got released. That’s what happens in all sports. He is financially set for life, probably better than almost everyone here and has his health(maybe not previous football health). He will be fine and continue to do community work if he chooses.

I have a feeling the owner will continue to make mistakes with big contracts to colts players. That’s just who he is. Manning and luck were no brainers, but so many others were bad and I have said it for years.

How was giving Leonard the contract when he was healthy a mistake? Do the Colts FO have an all seeing crystal glass that will let them know if an All Pro player will get seriously injured? If so, then the Luck contract was also a mistake lmao.

It's still a leap to conclude that this is because they were unhappy with him voicing his displeasure. By the way, I don't think he was disrespectful or overly combative in his comments to begin with. I guess whenever a player has a beef with the team, legitimate or not, some people will always side with the team...

Also, why couldn't this indicate that he asked for his release?

I'd hope one of the captains of the Defense wants to play more snaps. That's all he asked for. I bet that the coaching/medical staff just wouldn't give it to him due to his new limitations so they reached this standstill.

  5. Sad. This tells me the Colts think he's capped at his current level of play due to his injuries. Even if that's the case, he's been the best overall LB on this team the last couple of weeks (besides the Patriots game) so I'm a bit confused why they released him before the end of the year. It's not like we save more by cutting him now.

Anyone saying he quit after he got the bag is an absolute troglodyte or simply an *. The injury he fought through has simply capped his production and it wasn't warranted to continue paying him what he was getting payed. I'll leave it at that

…. as the top slot corner in football.   Glad to see some have noticed just how good KM is this year.

Many here wanted Moore traded after last years very disappointing season.    Who will own that now?

I did because he was horrible last year and an obvious weak spot in an otherwise very strong Defense. Glad to see him step up this year. Hope to see the same from several other Colts players that are not performing ATM.

I don't understand how people are so convinced that AR is the next franchise QB of the Colts; nothing suggests it.

It feels like I'm in the Twilight zone.

If he didn't run really fast he would be irrelevant. Him being a running QB makes it all the more vexxing to me how so many of our fellow Colts fans – who spent over a decade watching pocket passing Manning annihilate the league

     – have bought in to AR being the next franchise guy. Some were even licking their chops at the prospects of a running QB. How? I have no clue. He even goes out and gets injured multiple times in a short time span, which is one of the biggest fears of having a running QB.

I hope he turns out to be great, but there is nothing to suggest he will, and it would probably be wise to go in to the off-season as if we don't have a QB.

It's just you in the Twilight Zone if you think the Colts are going into the off-season looking for a QB. Being concerned about his longevity due to the two injuries he had that made him miss time is one thing, but acting like he wasn't having a promising start this year showing a bunch of franchise QB talent as a 21 yr old rookie is something else.

Watching this and seeing how many times Young is on his behind or running while his receivers haven't even turned around it's obvious they have more issues than QB play. Their Oline is trash and Reich's playdesign is 20 years behind the curve.

The Panthers are easily the least talented team in the NFL, especially on offense. I still think Young pops off in 1-2 years if they can build an even decent roster. Probably would need to let go of Reich as well, but Reich has shown he can get carried by a good roster at the very least.

The bad thing (for them) is that the Panthers traded most of their upcoming assets to get Young to begin with.

That was like watching paint dry. If panthers made the offense look like that I can’t imagine what pats d will do. Their defense is actually good.

The Panthers have an overall good defense. They've lost due to their abysmal offense more than anything this year. The Colts didn't look too hot offensively, but we also didn't pass the ball too much considering we had a lead through most of the games. Even the best teams have ugly wins from time to time, and I far rather win ugly then lose while scoring big (which has primarly been the case in the last three weeks)

Even though I appreciated the game-changing plays, I never liked the “victim mentality” he exhibited. He was always talking about how he was underrated.
That being said, I hope he either has a turn around or they get something for him.

There were tons of pundits/articles him the worst pick in the draft. I'd be * about that too tbh. Him being * about that did us a lot of good.

They are rookies. Fans are too critical of players, especially QBs. They will get better with practice and play.

I just said that his stat line was bad this week, and it's what I expect from him going forward. Supposed Colts fans on here were acting like he had a good week somehow. He could improve for sure, but his clock is already shorter than ARs due to his age.

This forum always gets weird when the Colts are on a losing streak(not you in particular). Half this thread read like Titans fans the way they support Mr.Mayo over AR, so pardon me for defending the Colts player on the Colts forum in a thread comparing QBs lmao.
