Well, this thread had a short shelf life.
-
This is probably the right thing to do, really.
-
Oh my lord.
-
He won us a game with a 50+ yard field goal last week...
If every player who people on this forum demanded be cut after a bad play was actually cut, we'd barely be able to field basketball team, much less a football team.
-
My mistake. He "only" had four. In an extremely short span of game time played.
I don't think he had any all last season, if I recall correctly.
My point is, this is a different situation. A knee injury shouldn't change how we view his concussion history.
-
Darrelle Revis had a concussion. Not, what, FIVE? Plus he's one if not THE best player of his position in the entire NFL.
Thought Collie only had 4. Regardless, if he was ready to come back from the concussion this week, I don't see why a freak knee injury would suddenly make the concussion history more serious.
Regardless, we should wait to get more information on his injury instead of acting like knee injuries and concussions are the same thing.
-
The same thing just happened to Darrelle Revis, comes back from a concussion and suffers a knee injury (though his knee injury didn't look as bad).
Don't see anyone saying the Jets should cut him or that he should retire.
-
Well, this quarter has been awful. Let's hope the 4th quarter is kinder to us.
-
I know that but with the concussion and now this he should think about retiring.
If he was fine coming back from the concussions before, I don't think it should enter into the decision. These are two separate issues. In any case, let's wait and determine the exact severity of the injury before we start speculating. But, ultimately, it's about coming back from the knee injury at this point. His concussion history doesn't carry any more or less weight than it did before.
-
I was talking about all the injuries including the concussions he has had
This was just a freak injury, as ACL tears generally are. It has NOTHING to do with the concussions.
-
Collie should retire just bad luck for him
Well, you don't retire just due to pure bad luck.
-
Is it weird that I think the Packers may be a better matchup for our defense, lol?
-
By the way, just a tip, avoid Colts skill position players in fantasy other than Luck and, to a point, Wayne, since he'll always be at least somewhat involved.
Usually you expect a rookie QB to ride one or two receivers, but Luck's 5 TDs have all gone to different players - Avery, Wayne, Allen, Hilton, and Moore. Add in Collie now being back (and should be more involved going forward), and Fleener, and it's hard to predict at the moment who's going to have the big day any given week.
-
Alright, feeling pretty good now.
-
who wants my van?
EDIT: Meh, was really just repeating the joke here, never mind.
-
So when is my fantasy league going to let me start Andrew Luck at running back?
-
Alright, well, bend but don't break. Could have been a lot worse.
-
You're very negative today.
-
any word on freeney, saw him as questionable yesterday?
Out.
Inactives, per ESPN.com, are Freeney, Angerer, Reitz, Harnish, Carter, Sowell, and Gordy.
Which also means that Satele, Justice, Collie, and Redding are all active.
-
Freeney's probably out, along with Angerer and Reitz obviously, but all of the others should be good to go barring any setbacks.
-
I originally didn't like that we had the early bye week, but it seems to be working out quite well.
It does seem to be fortuitous. Now, I obviously don't expect to beat the Packers, BUT, the fact is that we get them at home, after a bye, just as key players get healthy. Gives us a better chance than if they'd appeared anywhere else on our schedule.
-
While I don't think MJD will be up to last year's level, I still think he'll be pretty good yet this season once he gets his legs back. I think you guys might see more Rashad Jennings than the previous two weeks. Jacksonville would be wise to limit Gabbert's influence.
Jennings is doubtful.
-
23/32, 287 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT, 3 rushes for 15 yards. Colts win 31-20.
