  1. Very much this. I still don't get it. And the Colts have done the same thing with Brown and other picks. Somehow, we determine that our depth lacks at a certain area. One year, it is RB, so we use our 1st on Donald Brown. The next, it's injuries to Mathis or Freeney that negate our pass rush and we decide we need another DE, so we select Hughes in the 1st.

I get the idea that a team needs depth, but you don't normally look for depth in round 1. You look for a potential starter. In the case of the Colts, we had a pretty decent guy in Addai at RB. We had an awesome tandem of passrushers in Freeney and Mathis. So why not look to fortify a position of actual need (and select the next BPA) as opposed to selecting a guy whose only opportunities will come at the expense of the current starter(s).

Because the Na'Polians said so unfortunately.

  2. real classy... As someone who has blown their knee out once you shouldn't wish this on anyone and wouldn't if you knew what it feels like and how much it sucks to try and come back from... feel bad if he did blow it out again...

Oh calm down. I didnt wish it upon him. I only was saying if it had to happen, I'd rather it be the other Ben. <- the one with the amazing lawyer.

  3. You do if you are observant and pay attention. True, you can't learn everything from observation alone and there is no substitute for experience, but to say that nobody learns anything from observation is ridiculous. I have learned many things over the years from watching others before I actually did something myself.

Ya, but it's the finesse you learn by doing......

Like how hard to hit the brakes when you do it for the first time. 95% of people slam on them because they can't tell by watching.

  4. Much respect to Bob in his hey day, but his playing days are over. Unfortunately his body can't keep up with his playing style.

Why not try him out as an assistant secondary coach? He could teach these young kids how to hit hard and cleanly.

  5. Brown has never impressed me except for one play against ( I think) Titans where he was stopped in the back field and Orlov threw that great block. That's it. Carter has butter fingers, so if he can cure himself of that, he'll be alright. I'm hyped to see Ballard and now Moore out there.

Just please give me some passes to the RB out of the backfield!!!!
