  1. Good stuff. Thanks for the post. I was intrigued by the Jones pick-up. Big...athletic....do we care that he played at Shepherd? I don't. There have been other players found in the small colleges and Arena Leagues. If Luck hits him between the numbers and he holds onto the ball it is a win/win.....

If some of the video gurus can post some action of Dominique Jones it would be appreciated. We know Fleener and Allen will be fine.

  2. Powers is the best cb we got right now hands down and with florence's starter experience in a 3-4 defense i would most definitely sign Florence to provide that veteran presence in the cb core

For a 1 year deal sign him up.Just a band-aid until next draft.
  3. All it would take to fix that is to allow Freeney's agent to negotiate a new deal with the trading team prior to the trade being finalized. I don't think Baltimore is a realistic trading partner but New England and Cincinnati definitely could be, as could any other 4-3 team that loses a star pass rusher prior to the week 8 trade deadline.

I don't think he'll be traded any time soon though. At this point I get the feeling they're just going to keep him on for now and see how he fits in the new role. I'm fairly confident in saying that Freeney will still be a Colt by the first preseason game. After that though, I could see a trade happening if either Freeney doesn't fit into the new role as well as expected or if he simply doesn't like the new role and wants out. So if a trade does happen, imo it will happen some time between the first preseason game and the week 8 trade deadline.

Was really hoping Cincy with all their picks would grab Freeney too late now.3 choices left.1.Drop Freeney. 2.Restructure Freeney for trade. 3.14 million gamble all in on red on roulette table.(meaning 14 mill is too much to gamble on a aging OLB who cannot produce that much towards production.
  4. Not at all,we all knew it was coming just how many and how long was the question.I do not like the way the NFLPA is handling the situation though. They have 2 sides to defend and seems like they chose to represent only 1 side.I cannot see how they did not hire outside counsel or mediators for this situation,to represent Vilma and the others.

  5. This is not a trial...its your job.

As a union member...you must obide by the basic agreement your reps signed.

That's the agreement your people signed.

The commissioner has NO RIGHT (or obligation) to reveal what eveidence he has...the union agreement prohibits that.

But again...why doenst the union care about other union members crippling hard working union members

I agree with unclemark the NFLPA should of signed outside counsel on this matter. They do have an obligation to both sides therefor they should of had a mediator or outside counsel take their place Defending Vilma and others.

  7. never said keep them

    just pointing it out

I know just IMO sry if you took it that way was just saying I hope our FO continues to clean house of injured or less talented players.
  8. Please don't use Ray Lewis as an example. Ray is a HOF and Angerer will likely never even make a pro bowl. I like the kid but people are so blindly supportive of our team. Really makes me wonder what goes on in peoples head.

I believe Pat will make a pro bowl or 2.But as far as HOF only time and great play can decide that. And we should hope Pat is a future HOF would be awesome.
