  1. We should not get rid of Bethea.  I think he is a better FS than SS.  He is very reliable at both, but I think the reason he has so many tackles is because our front 7 hasn't been that great at stopping the run.  Plus, at 28, he still has a few more really good years left in him

Yes he has a few servicable years but not for big dollars.I still think he dropped off last year due to lack of supporting secondary help.If he signs for 2 more years and cheap definately but if he demands 6 or 7 million a year noway.

  2. do you see us moving on from Bethea?

Yes after next year I believe we will.It all has to do with upcoming big contracts,we will have to resign LUCK,and crew before you know it.But then again it seems the price for DBs and safeties are 30% down from previous years.

  3.  Love the Colts. Bethea is more of a SS than a FS. Lots of Tackles. NEVER turns the ball over. Overpaid. I would not expect him to be resigned after this season. We will draft his replacement or find someone better. JMO.

Agree Betheas replacement needs to happen in draft though not FA.I think its a position to free up money in future with a good draft pick.Bethea dropped off last year but it could of been due to lack of help in secondary also.I think he will have a much better year but I dont think we need to resign him at a large cap hip either.Agree or Disagree just my thoughts.

  4. We don't have to spend 90%. The number is 89% that is is based over a 4 yr. period(2013-2016 seasons). In other words, if the total cap over the next 4 yrs. = 550 mil. we would have to spend 489.5 mil. over those 4 seasons. Teams do not have a minimum they need to spend each yr., only a minimum of 89% over 4 yrs..

    Ty for clarification :)

  5. Yeah, I read somewhere a while back that the projected 2015 cap was supposed to be in the neighborhood of 150 mil., about 27 mil. more than this season.

only problem with higher cap is that players will demand more money and it will = out to todays value.

  6. Nice. I know we have draft picks to go yet but we're in good shape.

I'm wondering if Grigs keeps below the 90% in order to have more room for Luck when his time comes?

I have added to your posts on this same thing and i hope your right. We will have so many new rookies due contracts in the same year that we need to save for that day :)

  7. You're not even making sense.

Your saying 19.5 million gamble risk is better than an 8 million we could of bought a whole new o -line this year if we pushed freeneys money forward are you lost? Waldens 8 million is alot less of a gamble than what Freeney produced at 19.5 do you understand yet?

  8. It's a risk regardless. Freeney has nothing to do with it.

Freeney has alot to do with risks all was willing to risk it last year what is the difference now? Are you lost in thought?Freeney was worth a risk to you for 19.5 million now Walden not worth 8 lol

  9. I think alot of people might be missing the point.I see a much more physical mean team ahead of us.More of the psycological war games being played on the field.Pags loves physical players and I for 1 cannot wait to see this D on the field.I know alot are still saying 1 more guard for the O or an WR but seriously Iam fine where were at at this moment. Our D will wear Offenses out with hits alone :)
