Pagano expressed the same simple desire expressed by all coaches in my lifetime. Duh!
Stop the run, make them one dimensional. Put pressure on the QB with the pass rush.
Run the ball effectively so WE are not one dimensional.
Draft the best player available is the plan.
The Colts have Zero Very Good to Excellent players on D and they need 3,4,5 of those I would say.
e have some players we can keep or i hope we can keep, like Jarrell Freeman, Pat Angerer, Robert Mathis, Josh Chapman, not saying they are great but that they can become great...you have to realize this is their first year with this scheme and have to work it out, i think they are making a lot of mental areas especially Robert since he was a DE last year and got switch to linebacker that a huge difference.....and im sure there are others that can be kept im just saying not all positions on are defense and horrible though most of them do need a lot of work to make the scheme run better

first half 10-17 bills, second half 27-24 bills, sry but with bills coming off a win with the bills def doing there thing i dont think protection for luck will be good and he will get hit alot
-
honestly, i dont think beating the Texans is that hard of a grasp for the mere fact that the jags and lions went into overtime with them they found a weakness and the other teams are using it against them quite well, so unless if the texans start improving it in that area they wont seem as solid as they did in the first half of this season, as for draft i have to agree if the others here simply just draft what we need to put improvements on are team, and have are coaches make it work and well be fine, plus we alrdy have one of the youngest team and i see it getting younger by avg next year by adding at least 3 more rookies in the starting position so we are doing are thing and id say within 2 years we will be up there with the texans or will be a team to reckon with from teams around the league for the mere fact i think we alrdy are and we got some major improvement in key areas and are alrdy getting it done with a winning record.

de in 3-4 and 4-3

i believe 2 nd pick should be CB Hosley or better, 3rd pick should be CB Josh Norman, or maybe NT Ta'umu, or Jean-Baptiste and forth should be a WR of best availble
-
I know hes old but experience at his position comes no better and he could train the ILB we got/get this year or the next year
-
What do you guys think about getting James Farrior and try to transition him to be a ILB?
-
ok for those who think getting a wr in the 2nd round is a good idea is wrong cuz we need people who will make an immediate impact like a nt, cb, de, honestly i think cb cuz i think we might be able to get ta'umu in third or nicholas jean-baptists than start thinkin about offence and i think even than still think mainly on defence, or grab a good te cuz we need a receiving te than a wr imo
-
i agree with you with maybe the addition of nicholas jean-baptistes, but having franklin or garay would be great too
-
due to some sources they plan on splitting the runs between brown and carter so grabbing a rb at all this year is unlikely
-
we wont get LT its not going to happen for one we have brown and carter, and if were which i doubt it would probably be in the 6th or 7th round to challenge brown and carter.
-
this sounds like a lot of fun
19th in offense: i say this cuz of wayne and collie they always keep trying and never give up, plus andrew luck will have time to scan the feild with our new O-line plus hopefully we snag a HB in the 6th or 7th round to challenge carter and brown.
20th in defense: i only say this cuz the scheme and it will take more than a year to get it down right. Though i can say tackles for loss, sacks, interceptions, etc. for defensive stats will be much improved, but will give up some big plays due to learning the scheme as well.
not breaking it down sry typing on ps3 but i believe 15th in pass 22nd in offense, 23rd in pass, 17th in rush on defense.
-
i wasnt saying cant be upset for us not getting manning back, cuz i was a lil but i still have faith in our team to do great things, and granted he made us a great but not having him play last season was a good eye opener too so i just want to believe in our team like we when we were winning
-
this is the way i look at it if your with the colts be with and trust in their decision they are trying very hard but some of you feel like they shoot the colts in the foot,.....and if all your say negative things about the colts and hold no support than honestly you werent real colts you were merely their fan while they were winning means your opinion means nothing to me
-
i believe if we get we might trade freeney to open up more cap room, awesome player dont get me wrong but has a hefty contract and we could that extra cap to land a solid ILB and maybe NT or DE like pangago has been doing this entire FA landing solid players with not so hefty contracts which i think would be a good move cuz it could help us in the draft by trying to score some good secondary players where we need the most help at
-
i wasnt going against you or with you i was just stating who we should get to fill in some big holes that we still have
-
2nd round should be a cb either or better hopefully derek wolfe in 3rd round either nt nick baptiste or fangano in 4th wr t.j. graham in 5th rb robert turbin, te james hannah, and cb trevin wade in 6th round......does anyone see something they could better plz post
-
hmm2nd round is probably stephen hill or mohamed sanu, 3rd round nt tau'mu or de wolfe, 4th cb jamell fleming or ilb audie cole, and 5th round might be robert turbin or a te thats my prediction anyway if they arent taken before we choose anyway
-
I say if we get Sims we should try and hope to get Derek Wolfe in the third round
-
okay if we get manny lawson, are we plan on trading dwlight freeney, and if so we still got a NT and DE position to fill well i couldnt make my own forum due to being a new guy i believe if he still available in 3rd round we should pick up Derek Wolfe
-
i would be happy with those guys but im sure ill 2nd round pick will be a WR and 3rd could be a NT or DT/DE

for yall talking about dt's and only expressing them in the run stop you dont know their full job if he can gopple up to linman that means their are only 3 other lineman to get anybody else and if it a blitz play and a quick move by another lineman andmeans they are in the qb face within 2 seconds so stop acting like they are only good for stopping runs they make a big impact on pass rushing to especially on blitzes., but i do hope chapman plays it could be the center peice of out d-line weve been missing.
