  1. I disagree.  Losing Reggie will likely make a difference in terms of wins and losses this year.  This is a team that could have competed for HFA throughout the play-offs.  We may be an 8-8 team for the next several years, who knows?  We may not get this opportunity again. (Although, we probably will)

Losing Reggie also exposes the weakness of the O-line and the lack of depth at WR.

As for this stable of active WRs, it wouldn't surprise me if only T.Y. is on the roster in 2014.  I hope this is the case!  So whatever experience they would gain will likely be for naught as far as Colts fans are concerned.

Losing Allen, and then Reggie, has been disasterous for our post-season hopes.  Not sure if this is a lesson Luck needed or not.

well, i agrre with you whens it comes to the immediate future about the playoffs and all im sure this topic was more about the more distant future about luck spreading the ball and using his check downs and just targeting other receivers in general...

  2. I'm using PFF and there definition is if it touches you and you don't catch it, it's a drop.

hmm that's actually wrong if you have the ball hit your hands and you drop it without the influence of a defender hitting(or touching) you it a drop he the defender hits you while in the process of you catching it, it just called good defending

  3. Edge is not the right player to mentor Trent. I love Edge, but Trent needs to learn from a guy like Bettis. Obviously that wont happen cause of the organizations they played for. Point is Trent needs to embrace contact. Our OL sucks and hes going to get hit in the backfield a lot (like he has been.) He's avoiding contact right now & thats why hes going for 0's and losses when he could be getting 3 or 4. He hasnt punished one defender in a Colts uni yet.

What Colts game have you been watching?.....the thing he does the most in run right into the defenders most of the time, i mean he cuts early sometimes and misses his hole but im sure that something else James will be working with him on, with James coaching i believe T-Rich will go far and im sure hes really appreciating the help from a vetran RB like him since he was a great RB for the Colts, like i said before on some other forum he probably wont know T-Rich full potential til mid next season, plus i agree with some other people we need a couple better linemen mainly center IMO

    Go Colts!!!

  4. I hope so - I mean he was the #3 pick for a reason right?  Right now he lacks vision, burst, tackle-breaking ability and whatever else a running back can have,

I did like seeing him get going in the short passing game though.

i agree with vision, awareness and burst but his breaking tackles hes done well for as long he can get past the line of scrimmage which he is falling short at quite badly i must admit, but hopefully James can turn him around and get him on track and make him what he is suppose to be for are offense!!!! GO COLTS!!

  5. I don't need a chill pill, what I need is for people to stop pretending that Richardson is something he's obviously not. I know people want to keep finding excuses for the reason why he has sucked so bad, but all you have to do is watch the guy and you should be able to see that he just doesn't have the skill set to ever be anything more than average(and that's being kind). I'm not going to sugar coat my beliefs in him. He can not recognize the holes that are right in front of him. I seen him run right into the o-lineman at least twice last night when there was a decent sized running lane right beside the direction he took. I have also seen him do this countless times since he's been here. He gets the ball, puts his head down, and runs right into the backside of our o-lineman. It's pathetic how bad he has been. If he had even a little bit of the skills some seem to think he has, then he would have at least found a couple of holes to run through since he's been here, but he hasn't. He hasn't done anything from a running standpoint.

There's nothing wrong with his skill set, he just doesnt have enough vision or trust into his linemen to find the hole, and he like to cut to early and gets stopped short, things that can be fixed by next preseason, stop bashing a guy who only played like 8 weeks with us, even though you can learn a playbook in that time doesnt mean to feel comfortable running them or having the others teams defense making it look worst.

  6. 1. playaction and screen in the passing game so they will stop blitzing our qb so many times

    2. run counter plays and draws to make them get beat for being over aggressive and go the wrong way or hit the wrong target.

    3. complete short passes to set up big throws down the field.

    4. stop being so obvisious when were tunning or throwing the ball

    5. throw to DHB cuz no point in having a WR out there that doesnt get any throws to him duh.

    6. better special teams.

    7. less dropped passes

  7. I remeber when people were trying to get Kruger and get rid of Hughes and i totally disagreed since there stats were alike and kruger wanted ton of more money, at least we didnt get kruger but we still got rid of hughes which sucked

  8. Ok since I have come out hard on him after this past game and have called for him to cut or at the very least, benched. So my question is why do you not want us to give up on him yet? What makes him warrant a spot on the team?

honestly to a point i think he can improve...i know hes had 5 yrs to do it but he was with the raiders and their offense was a joke for those years, and only one with us, i understand that his stats are saying he doesnt deserve the #2 spot and i would agree to a point but for us to cut him completey i think he can make him something.  i know he doesnt look good now but i think another year with him at least til next preseason to see if hes gotten better

  9. For one its all about practice, especially for route running, catching i would say put Vontae Davis on him and have him try to out manvuer him with a oline in front of luck and the front 7 of the def against him and have it to where he can get open make the grab and try to get some YTC i know this is singling out DHB but i was thinking after practice and also some alone routes ...anything that can build up his confidence, cuz im tired of a lot of people saying he should be cut, or he sucks, and a lot of negative things....if you were him and had 1,000's of fans doing that to you would you do well in games?

and not consistentaly blitzing i mean chooisng different plays like zoning and such not always 7 man blitz either or just have the front with a linebacker blitzing (or 4 players instead of 7)

  11. Formwer players say it is extra motivation to go back against the team that lost confidence in them and let them go free.  Peyton is already at top level, so I don't know how he can elevate any more than he has.  Our D will be tested. Our O can move on them, but will be called on for no mistakes, and maybe cause them 1 or two.  We can win, but we won't be favored to.

though i will agree he will def test are defense but we didnt lose confidence in him we merely went in a different direction and choose luck with a no 1 pick

  12. Only thing im really worried about in the Chargers is Phillip Rivers hes having one of those years where he actually preforming well, not saying they will beat us but we need to make him make mistakes for us to have a easy win or we will have a close game imo

  13. Also telling: we're dead last in number of drives, which is why we don't score more points per game despite being very efficient offensively.

This honestly can be a good thing, for one that means we are having the oppoents defense out on the field for a long time, which is going to cause them to get tired and make more mistakes, and it could mean that are defense is out for a long time too, but i dont think so cuz i think we had the 49ers do quite a few 3 and outs so if you add that all up team especially defense is staying fresh, and we can capalized on defense errors and drive down the field

  14. I agree. I don't see Warford as a reach at all at 24. I think some people think he's a reach there simply because that's what they have heard all offseason and therefore it makes it true in their heads. Warford is the perfect fit for offensive line scheme and would be the day 1 starter at RG. I'm also not real impressed with anybody else that may be available at 24 on defense or offense. So why not get the guy thats fully capable of filling the biggest hole on the team instead of picking some other player that fans may feel is slightly higher graded at a position where we already have depth at? That don't seem like the best idea IMO.

i like your thinking, and have to agree unless someone drops down low enough to fill one of are other needs, but we wont know that til the day the draft starts

  15. id haveto say an OG, if either one of them drop to us, (jonathan cooper or Chance) highly doubt it but ive seen crazier things, hmm OLB, ILB, SS, either of these positions would satisfy me for as long we dont reach to get them.  but a specific player i dont know just know i dont want manti te'o cuz ive heard hes had a bad work ethic

  16. Iknow we are going to do BPA on the draft but i dont see a #2 cb not wanting #1 cb pay, so if Desmond Trufant(i believe thats his name) is still there i would like to get him though it would be hard to see it possible, as for alot of are needs for the oline and a pass rusher there are a few options but like a few have spend are money wisely, which so far grigson hasnt steered just wrong in that department
