  1. He was my pick to win before the season, and my pick to win now. He's an outstanding player who changes games by himself and his teammates have admitted to making everyone around him better.

That defense is not a top 3 D without Kuechly. Outstanding player in the box, and has the best instincts I've seen from a young linebacker in a long time. Very deserving pick and I'm happy he won.

  2. It should come down to Kuechly and Mathis.

I would be thrilled with Mathis, but (and this won't be popular on a Colts forum) I think Kuechly should win it.

It's the best player and leader on arguably the best defense, vs a player who is the only reason their defense was respectable.

    Tough choice.

  3. Actually he is a thug.

He beat and robbed Crabtree and the 49er's of their winning touchdown! Which makes him a Football field thug!

But personally... Calling him a thug feels pretty racist to me.  Not even a little bit. I don't recall hearing white NFL players being called thugs. Or maybe they are called thugs and I have not noticed... (Shrugs shoulders)

I don't understand it. He simply isn't a thug at all. Who started calling him a thug in the first place? He might be loud, outspoken, boisterous, cocky, peremptory, arrogant, narcissistic, but not a thug....

    Don't get it.

I remember Tedy Bruschi acting similarly after the divisional playoff game against the Colts. I don't remember it being a big deal.

Anyways, thanks for posting this definition.

    I hope Seattle wins!

    Well, you opened that door.

  4. I'm happy to see Fleener quiet a lot of doubters. Last year, I was indifferent about Fleener, but loved his potential, and was hoping he would take a step forward this year.

He definitely did that, as you mentioned with the doubling of the stats, and his very low drop rate. He still needs to work on some things, but next year will only be his 3rd year, and the 2nd in this offense. I think he can get a lot better, EVEN with Allen in the lineup.

  5. That's a lot of money, and people seem to think that there's absolutely no chance he doesn't succeed here, where in fact there's an equally good chance he doesn't do well in Indy.

I'd pass for now and try to find better options at cheaper prices.

  6. In the NHL, if you miss the All Star game, you get a one game suspension. Now there's 82 games, but still.

I think the NFL should give the players a fine if the players don't show up. The only players excluded should be players in the Super Bowl and players in the Championship games and injured players of course.

  7. If you want your kids acting like that guy, have it buddy. Did you see a true pro in peyton screaming at his critics after the game?

I wouldn't mind my son having a near perfect grade point average at one of the best schools in the country in a top problem, being a high level athlete, as well as a high level intellectual. I rather my son be overly confident than overly shy.

Sherman is showing his emotions. He was completely fine afterwards and showed why he's a great speaker and a smart guy when he was with the analysts. Don't judge a guy because he was emotionally charged after the biggest game of his career.
