I am also losing confidence in him as being the long term answer.
Biggest win of the season thus far and he didn't even throw for 200 yards.
For me to see him as the long term answer he's going to need to net us several wins where he carries the team a little bit more. Because right now it seems like most games, save for the Falcons game he's just not screwing things up and letting a great roster carry him.
Against the Chargers his yards per attempt was a respectable 7. Against the Falcons it was a good 8.4.
But against Tennessee 5.2, Against Oakland 5.8, and Against KC 5.2.
In 2 of our 3 wins our QB throwing for only 5.2 Yards per attempt is telling.
Even if the short throws are all by plan, to me that is telling the Reich doesn't trust him to let it rip deep.
he had to roll out to the right a ton, and when he did, good things did not happen. But eventually it became ball control and keep Mahomes watching from the bench. Entire offensive game plan change. Brissett could have had 260+ which would likely have brought the YPA upwards, but it simply was not needed nor prudent.

great win, ended on a sour-note with Turay, feeling so bad for him right now. he really chased that last play around in circles and there were so many bodies entangled and moving around....it's just , ugh... hard to believe it happened. How do we replace him? good ole fashioned football though and proud to be a Colts fan.

Hope they ask the tough questions,Such as ebron reduced snaps and Quincy Wilson aka Toast
Unfortunately probably be Bowen. JMV is 3-6 i think. Bowen's ok, but agree with other posters, would be nice to have some more pointed questions answered.

In their defense, the Falcons have a deadly offense if Matt Ryan plays his A game. It's only been two years since they were in the super bowl with essentially the same team. We'll garner more respect through out the season.
Can't sleep on their defense either, as their Defensive Line dominated one of the best offensive lines in the NFL through all four quarters against the Eagles. Grady Jarrett and Takkarist McKinley certainly and absolutely led the charge, but some of their other studs, Adrian Clayborn, Allen Bailey, Tyeler Davison and Vic Beasley were heavy contributors.

I liked Cann better, not just her looks but she seems like a better talker to me.
she (Cann) was younger, therefore more in tune to the athletes and what makes them tick (xbox one, P/S-4, VR, thousand dollar phones, millennial speak, z-gen speak, music & other things.

I just went back and watched every pre season kick. Hedlund looked solid, but his range seems limited. Although his kickoffs made the end zone, his long field goals that went wide did not hit very high into the netting like you see from most NFL kickers (51 yarder that would have been good from 60, etc). With Hedlund, it was 51 yarder that if straight, would have been good from 53-54. But I think he would be a very consistent short-mid range option.
Vinatieri in the Bears game had a nice 49 yarder, and then a low line drive, poorly struck extra point. It was good, but it was not a good kick. His 2nd extra point was another low line drive. This is exactly what I have mentioned here for the past year and a half. His past two seasons he's kicked a lot of these.
Something to note: Sanchez senior year he was 49-50 on XP's (understand it's not the same) and 13-13 on field goals, including a 55 yarder. Is it easier to find a replacement kicker or replacement punter? LOL.
nice analysis. I think he's got the yips. I'm sure he'll be honest with everyone if he truly does have them. They have retired some of the best athletes to every play golf mainly, but other sports are affected by them as well. I wish him only the best if he truly has them.

The friendly confines of Lucas oil will be just the medicine to exorcise the demons!
agree, I think he gets out of this slump vs. falcons. I would prefer not to have boo-birds cackling for a 2nd time this season at LOS.

The only good thing about this is it adds some more speed with Cain and Campbell getting more snaps.
nope, he is done for the year i'd say it's 95% , so yea , lots more snaps for others.

bottom line is he lost again. give us some wins and this thread is a heck of a lot different. you are so welcome on the insightful input.

If they would sign him, I would still want Kelly as the #2 once game 3 is here. We kind of know Osweilers ceiling already.
We also know his basement:

It's time to admit that Andrew Luck is not who we thought he was. No other top qb is going to retire after the season he just had. And retire at 29yrs old. The guy just doesn't have them mental make-up of an all time great qb. And thats fine. Good luck in life.
With the coaching staff, training staff, doctors, fans, media, & others breathing down his neck all the time...wanting to know his status (how's it feel, can you put pressure on it at this angle, how does it feel after light warm-up, etc, etc), wanting him to practice, wanting any nuggets of information... I think it just broke him and he said screw it, I'll do what I want. The approach should have simply been to back the hell up and give him time off on his OWN schedule. But superstar status NFL football dictates that we all should get "micro-updates", thus I think it just wore him out. With Irsay going into probably too much ramble detail yesterday and hearing mostly what he said or trying to interpret what he meant, I think that was the case even more now (that Andrew got burnt out at the inundation . Not faulting Irsay or anyone, but Luck is a very delicate mind, an aberration, a QB savant if you will. Not sure we'll ever figure out what truly happened.

Is it possible they don’t are sign AC now and look for a LT to grow with the offense.
How will this effect Ebron and Doyle getting extended.
I think there are going to be a lot of different decisions to be made now.
no doubt that some players will bail, but after how long is the question. I think AC stays but the whole dynamic of this team just took a low-blow.

It's not like everyone booed. And the one's who did, were just puzzled and hurt IMHO. Was it a mistake, of course, no doubt. It was their Philly moment.

Irsay talking about being as confused as fans. Irsay is truly speaking from the heart. May have gone into a little too much detail however talking about the pro-bowl and what happened from there, hmmm. was he rambling or just as mystified as all of us right now? Irsay talking about Andrew Luck leaving a half a billion dollars on the table. Also hinting on other people coming out of retirement. wow.

one of the all time stunning retirements. i thought i was going to hear about a catastrophic injury. instead we see a press conference of a guy who lost his love for the game.

Ya sin did get the start with Desir and Moore as they opened in a nickel. I don't think he's going anywhere though. Would be one injury away from having a rookie playing corner for the first time possibly forced into heavy minutes.
very astute observations!!

Film review, tighten up the coverage, clean up silly mistakes. Poor officiating in pre-season games is perhaps a blessing in disguise. Rivers will be throwing the ball all over the place, tighten up!

They don't have to key on him as much with Brissett in the mix. I don't think he'll hit Hilton in this game for the home-run or long-balls. Different era of arm and mindset now that Luck's gone.
