A month ago, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a derecho. Now, the radio tells me that we have a 30% of being hit by another one this afternoon. I long to go back to the good old days when I was so blissfully unaware of this cruel trick by mother nature.
it only lasted about 3 or 4 minutes, but it was VERY WINDY, and lots of HAIL. My car is still in the Shop from the last storm. I am afraid to look at the Rental Car after the Hail <sigh>
@Coltman: I hope you get rain....it is spotty right now....I will get the back end of what is in Illinois....tomatoes are dying....cannot put enough water on them.
@Brent I know it's a Spanish word, but only because my son corrected me after we had that super derecho on June 29th. I had pronounced it der-echo. He told me that it was a Spanish word that is pronounced day-Ray-cho.
