  1. Is this one of those " what's different " tests?

Exactly Joker! What's the difference & what's the justification for it? If you're gonna make a change, make it at least noticable & worthwhile.  Like this perhaps....

  2. I would  resign immediately! That would be the best I can do for Colts!

I would hire you back buddy!!!  I can not let Hungary go unrepresented by the horseshoe!   :coltslogo:  :coltslogo:  :coltslogo:  :colts:  :colts:  :colts:

Yup, we need you around HCF. You're too vital to the success of this site to lose my friend. You're not going anywhere buddy!

If YOU were General Manager of the Indianapolis Colts for a day - what one thing would you LOVE to do to advance our Indianapolis Colts ??

Bring back a GM corner online question & answer session with Ryan Grigson & the fans to get a glimpse of what the front office is doing draft wise, free agent wise, & salary cap wise. Post the responses on both Colts.com & Colts Forum.com every 2 weeks.

  4. I could actually see this happening....come on FA!

QuizBoy, I respect your intelligence a great deal, but do you see Randy Moss, who excelled under Tom Brady in 2007, rushing to play with Matt Schaub? The Texans have a great defense, but Matt isn't clutch when you need him to be. Although, he did win his 1st Playoff game this season so perhaps he has lifted an enormous weight of his shoulders & he is ready to make a deep SB run now.

  5. You can cry tears of the Nile if you don't just win baby!!!!

If you win Championships like Howie Long did, Al loves ya. If you lose, not so much. Plus, he always changed head coaches so much. Little to no chemistry or playbook continuity in a locker room IMHO.

  6. To me Deion Sanders is the biggest cry baby ever..He still holds a grudge against the Colts for Hunter Smith body slamming him from behind right after he said.."If I see the punter's eyes, I'm gone" (or something to that effect)..He would cry about this, that and everything..He even cries now as a commentator when his predictions go wrong. He gets all quiet, and starts shuffling his papers in front of him..

In Non-football sports..Pau Gasol is a big crybaby too...

    Neon tears a blazin..........

Don't get me started on Deion...Let's just say that I don't run his fan club & leave it at that.  haha

  7. Anything involving New York is worth developing conspiracy theories over. It's the city that never sleeps so who knows what THIS Super Bowl has cooked up for us. :D

I don't think both will be in the big one, or at the moment likely either one but the Giants have the better shot obviously if they get back to the playoffs.

Maybe this so called curse has more to do with the SB host team feeling the burden of succeeding during their SB host season/hearing about it so much to the point it can become distracting?

So with two teams maybe the burden splits to ease the drama/distractions or perhaps we just see two teams under achieve.

Not sure if this gets broken next year, but some season I think it will. All patterns/records/trends were made to be broken.

Although something strange is brewing if the Jets make the playoffs in a stunner.

Yes, it is the "Big Apple" after all. Larger than life is in that city's DNA. Even the translucent  tequila suckers have have giant worms encased inside them. NY is full of surprises. Maybe you are right. The burden of playing a SB in the city where your stadium resides is more of a curse than getting to the Big Dance & winning it. Yes, patterns are made to be shattered just like the Ravens winning broke the recent trend of NFC teams winning the SB. All records, myths, & previous achievements eventually fall by the waste side. If Sanchez gets to the AFC Championship Game & wins it to advance to the SB, then the apocalypse is headed our way along with the 4 horseman & the end of the world.  :funny:  lmao  Who needs the Mayan calendar?  Just look for a Jets SB victory since Joe Namath & 1969.

  8. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1523710-comeback-2013-jamarcus-russells-road-back-to-the-nfl-trailer

Bleacher Report has footage of JR working out with Jeff Garcia. They refer to the footage as a "trailer". As a football fan, I am completely intrigued as to how this will pan out for Russell. The dude has some serious character flaws, sure, but who knows. Maybe he's been humbled a bit as he's lost everything... and gained a TON of weight.

Best of luck to him. Hopefully he realizes his mistakes and he gets fully into shape and becomes committed. If he does, I hope a team gives him a chance.

Is JM really this broke? Did he spend literally all that money Al Davis gave him? Really? I can see Rex Ryan making a push for him to save his NY Jets head coaching job. I don't see Mark Sanchez leading gang green to a SB title. If JM listens to Jeff Garcia & follows his advice to the letter, maybe Marvin Lewis & the Bengals take a look at him as a backup QB. Lewis seems to get the most out of athletes with a checkered past.

  9. Jesus.

    Whats next? Foam footballs?

Nerf, the official new ball of the NFL. WRs & TE's are complaining of frequent body bruises from their QBs who throw the ball to hard. Ouch! In response to the demand to reduce play injuries & promote safety at all costs, softer & lighter footballs have been approved by Commissioner Rodger Goodell. Only teasing!  :funny:  haha

  10. I don't think anyone would call you mean sir. You are a true gent...

Thank you BHC. I appreciate your kind words on my behalf. Thank you. :hat: I have gotten into a little bit of trouble with my directness in the past on this site & I want to ensure that everyone's perspective or point of view is welcome even if the team or athlete they may idolize is not held in high regard by yours truly.

I enjoy reading your take on things & your Scotland background as well. I am intrigued by other countries, traditions, & cultures BHC & if I ever say something that does not sit well with you please don't hesitate to tell me my friend. Thank you.

  11. Well I've been watching the Super Bowl on television since I was a kid so the weather is always warm

no matter what town they play it in! I'll be on the couch.

I can enjoy watching the Super Bowl in New York as long as it doesn't snow. One thing I can say about

Northerners is they are rabid football fans, so the stadium should be rocking unless nobody cares about

the two teams who make it next season. I suppose it can't hurt trying this once I guess.

There you go krunk! Way to keep an open mind & who knows if the weather cooperates & isn't a major hassle in February it will open the SB hosting door to other non-warm stadium locations down the road too.

  12. You were just ironically alluding to the shortness of his "story", right SW :D It sounded a little mean - which could be why 100GFB asked you if you were from the Northeast. Reasonable assumption. For example all NJ school children have to get at least a "B" in "hand gestures" before they are even allowed to enter high school.

;) Yes, I was alluding to the briefness of the story that is true MAC. I wouldn't call it mean or a "reasonable assumption." Direct perhaps, but not mean, especially with "Just Kidding man!" written after it. It's how I was raised. I meant no disrespect to Andy. There is a difference between cruelty & sarcasm. My apologies Andy if what I said was not well received by you or if it personally offended you.

  13. Perhaps, but can we really say with a straight face that a curse caused Peyton's neck woes to catch up to him? And that a curse caused the Saints bounties to finally get caught?

I think this curse seems more believable at the moment since the Colts were expected to be a playoff team in 2011. And the Saints were expected to be a playoff team in 2012. But, I still think the Saints could have made the playoffs this past season without Payton if they had something that resembled a defense and their offense ran the ball better/more often instead of just watching Brees chuck it around.

I guess we'll see but it does make sense that they become neutral like you said and I initially implied. This is a unique situation with two teams hosting the big one unlike what we have seen before.

Of course neither NY team seems to be expected to contend for a Super Bowl ATM. So what would be a curse for them? The Jets are a mess, but I suppose if they have a respectable season then maybe the curse is lifted for them. But, if the Jets stink again would anyone truly be surprised? Would have nothing to do with a curse IMO.

If the Giants make the playoffs then maybe the curse is lifted from them? But, if say Eli gets hurt for several games or the Giants miss the playoffs people will think it is due to the CURSE? However not even the Giants are heavily expected to even make the playoffs according to many in a competitive NFC East so what would be their curse?

Can both teams be jinxed or is just one going to be jinxed or do they become neutral to the doomed challenges of hosting the Super Bowl?

See how deep we can get here? haha

I love this kind of stuff it's like graduate school philosophy course using the NFL, black magic voodoo, & Lombardi shortcoming as the proverbial backdrop. I wonder how Tim Tebow or Ray Lewis would answer this question?  lmao  Can logical reasoning be applied to matters of irrational superstition?

    http://youtu.be/v5fo3QIr0lI

Given that this circumstance would be the 1st time in NFL history that 2 teams share the same stadium, it would really be mind blowing if they both faced 1 another in the SB & what if the game ends in a tie? Hmmm...What does that sign indicate from the football gods? It would never happen in a million years of course, but there is no such thing as a tiny conspiracy theory either. Let's see if we can top this blackout mystery next year okay?

  14. Look at it this way, it's a rare situation with two teams involved so we have double to watch now! But, how does one justify a host curse? Making it to the SB is tough to do regardless. And the Jets seem already doomed to begin win. The collapses of the Colts/Saints playoff hopes in what was supposed to be a usual playoff season raised alarm bells but were they just victims of unfortunate circumstances and not a so called "curse"?.

The Giants will be the ones to watch. Ironically they had the same record the last two seasons, one year resulted in a SB victory and one year out of the playoffs.

I just like the notion that 2 teams who share the same stadium location cancel out each other's bad SB misfortune. Does that make them neutral like a symbolic sports team similar to Switzerland & does it proliferate 1 of those team's chances of both hosting & winning a Lombardi Championship in the future? That's the real question Jules...
