I think we are a feast or famine run d. Very little 3-5 yard carries but a lot of negative and 7+ yard carries.
-
I wonder if individually Holmes is not the best 1 on 1 but he is better at making the line calls than either of the other two so he puts the line in a better spot to succeed.
-
The past 2 weeks for this oline have been amazing. Doing it against this denver pass rush proves that secondaries are made by the pressure put on a quarterback.
-
Peyton could have used the take what the defense gives you attitude today on that 3rd and 5 where he had 20 yards of open field and threw a 30 yard incompletion instead running for the first down.
Brady lives on the checkdown. If he takes that away Fleener and Allen will be open at 15 yards all day.

I swear i just heard Newsome say pleasure playing against you Mr Manning.

I think this goes our way.

That catch was straight 88
-
That was a bad pass. Just forced. Damn Andrew clean it up.
-
The ground cannot cause a fumble. Learn that rule Mike Carey
-
That is Colt ball all the way.
-
That throw to Fleener was a perfect example of a touch pass. I felt like that was in the air forever. Way to go 12.

Hakeem. Wooooo Hakeeem.

Anyone hating on Toler just needs to look at this quarter 3 shots where his coverage was so tight that he forced 3 overthrows. He is on point right now.

Great article, we as Colts fans, have been seriously spoiled with the talent we have had at the WR position and with the lessons these guys are learning I wouldn't doubt if this doesn't continue.

He is probably taking Tipton's place on special teams. Took all year.
-
This is the matchup that I wanted, I feel like we can beat this Denver team a little easier than we could beat the Pats, this week at least. I think the confidence boost of this team playing Tom Brady after beating Peyton would make that game closer.
-
He reminds me a lot of Tiki Barber. has the breakaway ability yet can also run through some people if need be. Tiki was a fumbler and corrected it so there is hope.

Great tribute.

Colt unmentionables???
They sell that?
Yeah they do
My phone is acting funny but search for it and you find it.

I will say though the difference that I see between Boom/Tipton and Richardson is the bigger run.
Trents long runs are for 4 yards, he always gets 3 but when he "breaks one" it is 4 yards.
Boom when the hole is there hits it hard and gets more chunk runs. Tipton broke a nice 9 yard run on Sunday as well, they both hit the hole harder than T-Rich which is odd because if he hit the hole as hard as boom he would always get 6 yards a carry.
-
Ehh, that's exactly why yards per carry is the best gauge for performance. If you gain 100 yards, but you do it from 50 carries, that comes out at 2 YPC which is horrible.
Sure, you could burst a 50 yard run on your 26th carry, but it's about what you did in the game, not what MIGHT have happened.
I somewhat agree with this but you have to factor in game situation as well, if that running back had the 50 carries we dominated time of possession so there is a benefit to that as well as long as the offense was picking up first downs.

This team can make a run. But they have to run.

I liked holmes at center with jack at right tackle and shipley at guard. I feel like that is our best o-line that we put out yesterday with maybe Louis being the exception. I noticed yesterday both Tipton and Herron ran through the tackle while Trent slowed down before every hit. I was really impressed with Tipton.

Shipley was playing guard yesterday

Everybody looking at just YPC is not really watching the games they are just looking at stats. Trent truly did get 3 yards per Carry but Boom get 6,9,15, -4, -3, 1 on plays he can get yards he gets them. On plays he gets hit in the backfield he doesn't. Trent no matter what happens with him he gets 2.8 yards. Always every time. He could get a handoff in warmups with no defense and he will get 2.8 yards.
I remember cheering a 6 yard run with Trent earlier this year.
