I actually wish we could hear some good clear information that Condon, Irsay, and Grigson were meeting on a contract. Truth is Luck and RG3 are stud QBs no matter how you look at it. Luck fits the Colts system and RG3 fits with the Skins....not sure any QB fits in the Brown's system anymore. Both of these young men played in warm weather, and as the song says "When the Gales of November come Early" off of Lake Erie. Honestly I did not just Tweet that for Irsay...I promise....

Cannot blame Brees for not taking 10 mill less than Peyton can you?All depends on how he structures the deal and how much guranteed money he wants up front. The tag could be more on the cap or very very possibly if he wants a ton of up front money...it could SAVE them money franchising him for one year. We don't know but obviously with how the negotiations are going and the reports that they are very far apart suggest he is wanting a monster number of guranteed dollars and would probably hurt their cap space to keep a majority of their team.

I am amazed there are so many Colston haters....maybe the injuries? I have always thought he was strong....I am with you on Colston.Heck if they lose Colston, I sure as heck wouldn't mind him coming to Indy considering the circumstances involving Reggie & Garçon. I hope that idea wouldn't be to far fetched.

The draft is deep, and they still have the pesky Sproles and the stud Jimmy Graham.Brees will be fine without thise WR's. As long as they have Brees + that line, the Saints will make weapons out of anybody.

My understanding is it saves them 'cash,' but impacts the cap more if franchised. Maybe somebody can make sense of that for me. All I hear is if he is franchised, it will hurt them. Yeah....I am more woried about 18 myself....but interesting nonetheless.Actually the franchise tag for Brees would likely SAVE the Saints money considering what he is asking for. I think the Saints are trying to look at this thinking similarly to what they saw happen to the Colts last year. That team would be worse than us without Brees. They don't want to be caught in Cap trouble if he was to go down. He isn't the youngest either and like manning had issues that could affect his throwing. I don't blame them for trying to structure it right....no doubt that is what this is. They definately want him back but they have players to sign too and don't want an albatros of a contract with too much guranteed money if something happens. We all never thought something would happen to Peyton so I don't blame them.

The bad thing is Brees will get the franchise tag......then he loses 2 or three receivers. I helps the Saints to get it done for sure...and Brees too.That is pretty odd the Saints haven't worked anything out with Brees yet, the guy had one of the most (if not the most) incredible season any QB has ever had. I assume they will eventually work things out with him. Completely different situation with the Colts though unfortunately

Yes it allowed us Colts fans to be ill an extra day. Need to go to CVS and get some TUMS...HA!leap year gave him an extra day ( LOL )

New rules made for 3 over Marino's record. Gonna respectfully disagree...he had Reggie, Garcon, a health Collie, Tamme....and Dallas...even though he played with slippery...and still injured hands. The line would not have been as banged up as well....A HOF QB make a huge difference at the line. Look at Brady's numbers. He was throwing no bombs to receivers and still 5,235....Collie...Reggie, and Garcon all get downfield. Just my thoughts as usual...I don't think we would score quick enough for Manning to ever get to the 5K mark. It takes big plays, and thats something our offense really hasn't done in over 5 years. Its a very plodding, ball controling Off. with Peyton.....

With new rules I disagree....at least until I know who is back. Tamme turned into a star with Manning.....nothing with Painter/Orlovsky until late....Dallas....and freaking Blair White was solid...You might come back and say OL? His decision making is second to none at the line of scrimmage. He would have passed for 5K yards last year at 85%...the rules are soooooo lax.not the same roster as 2009 or 2010. even with a healthy manning, my guess for max wins is 5.

I came back to this in amazement that Andrew Luck ran the same time as Cam Newton in the 40! Does that matter? NO! Just surprised me. We cannot go wrong with either choice....I still wish it was a healthy Peyton.....and a Super Bowl run.I agree as we have had this talk before,i think RG3 is more able to make all the throws,and you know i like Keenum as well,and im not saying Luck isnt talented but ,i agree to an extent with the media hype tag,but over all i think RG3 is a beter shot of making a big impact,people dont give him credit for inteligence but you and i have discussed this i think hes very smart

It is obvious this man is already in mid-life-crisis! No money after million?{sic} Randy has the speed and desire....I see only the Patriots again and 49ers....and maybe Sexy Rexy as a 'suitor' Harbaugh and Belisnear will kick his butt, and Rexy will kiss it.I kind of feel sorry foe WR Randy Moss. In his last 2 NFL stops, the Vikings & the Titans both head coaches were lame ducks anyway. Brad Childress & Jeff Fisher were on their way out with their franchise employers anyway. I guess it just proves the need to prepare for a life after football I guess. Eventually 1 of 2 things happens: Either your body breaks down or your age makes you expendable.

Garcon does not compare to the FA's. He does not compare to an aging Reggie!!! Great point...5 years for Garcon? He should have jumped on it J Dee!Yep... and this season's WR FA crop is STELLAR.

IndyTrav. I do not think you are being negative. I compare this to LeBron James. Has he 'disappeared' in the playoffs? No. Has he been non-productive in the 4th Quarter? Yes he has. We can say A Rod is great, but has had a poor productivity in the World Series. With Peyton's run coming to an end, that quick slant to Marv will live in infamy to all NFL rivals. I did really like the info. Keep it up!!!Im not trying to negative light ole Marv, I love the guy, he was great and I wish we had 11 of him for our team. But for comparisions sake, he just didn't put up the #'s other 1WR did in the playoffs. Glad you dug the info tho, I love lookin up stuff like that.

Good info for sure....Fitz is a stud. I do not like to look at Marvin in a negative light. We never would have been there without him. Manning to Harrison is legendary. I won't have it diminished. 2nd to Rice all time is enough for me as a Colt fan. He never said a peep...unlike some of the others. Thanks for the info.O yea, he disappeared.

I will not say Marvin disappeared....I think he was doubled a lot and key on defensively.....that is how Reggie became who he is....I have slept since then.Marv disappeard in the 'real' crunch time(playoffs).Reggie never did tho. Props to him for that.

One other point....the most overrated is Garcon. If he really turned down a five year deal....in todays market? He thinks he is elite. Elite WRs make all of the catches and hang on to the football in crunch time....see Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne...(Yes there were times they had critical drops as well...)

I have enjoyed this conversation. I am with John Dee on this one. Alberts had more athletic ability than Clay Mathews, and ran like a running back. He got hurt, and like Steve Emtmann could have been a beast for years. Emtmann coming out of college today would fit perfectly in Pagano's 3/4....a double team beast. Today's rules would have saved him from the chop block lineman. The worst ever was Art Schlichter with Blair Kiel a close second.Really.. how long have you been a Colt fan?
Albets never got started... Painter.... what did you expect? and Hank? he had a cup of coffee in Indy and was a member of the "worst ST's of the last decade"....
I can think of way more miserable Colts than these fellas.

Roy had the size...just never hit the field due to injury...yes he was considered to have an upside....a true disappointment but not overrated. Hart had the HEART of a lion....just not fast...very slow...Kenton Keith....forgot how bad he was. HA HA!how about H & H
