Between Brackett Addai Manning Clark Bullit the last two seasons there were 160 games. They played 72. What do you call that?

I agree with the last 3 comments made. People are too emotional right now. These things needed to be done. I think eventually people will understand that. I said in another post, this team said they were rebuilding and I think a lot of people did not realize what a true rebuiild means. You don't rebuild a team with players all 30 yrs+. You have to have young healthy players. Thank you toall the players cut but this is how football goes. I bet the upset fans are a lot more suprised then the players who were cut. This has been coming for awhile just sad it had to happen all at once and with Manning being released. It makes it hard to cope with for some. Change is a good thing though, maybe not such a good feeling right now but in a few years, look out! They know what they are doing. In Pagano I trust, I have faith in that man. I can't explain why but I think he will be great and I love the things he has said and done so far. As far as Grigson, I don't think people are giving him a chance and that is just not fair. He was judged before he even opened his mouth.

Earlier in the thread you said with Manning we go to playoffs every year and we are always one and done. ummm,,,no...we are rarely one and done, while winning SB, losing SB and making multiple AFC chanpionships.

to all the rest of you. You say 3-4 losing seasons is ok to rebuild. hmmm. ok...get ready to fire Grigson if we are not gonna start winning in 3 years. I can't wait until him and Irsay are exposed for these sins.

Ok well how about I word this differently. If we had a balanced team, a more "whole" team then maybe we would have won more SB's. That is all I am trying to say. Peyton had way too much pressure on him for one guy. The team as a whole was not balanced enough to win multiple SB's.
As I said eralier in post, no way Brady would have all his rings if he were on this team. He has all his rings because he is elite and has had a good team to play with. Obviously great coaching there too. I think its great we had so many playoff runs and so many great seasons. I will forever see Peyton as the greatest qb to play the game. I just think with a better team around him he could of had more SB wins.
They are cutting all these players now because they want to make the team more balanced. They said that from the start with the hirings of Grigson and Pagano. It doesn't make sense to say rebuild and not really rebuild, I think a lot of people were not prepared for what that really meant. Many have so many emotions and feel so close to the payers it is hard to separate the emotions from the facts of what needs to really happen.
While the players cut were veterans it does not mean they should have stayed with the team. It is sad to lose them but they are doing what is best for the franchise. Does not make sense to rebuild with a team of players 30 yrs and up,...Addai at 28, soon to be 29, is close enough for a RB as he is injured more lately and I think would not be the same without Peyton. We have 2 other RB's that are both 24. No need for Addai to be here anymore.
I also want to add that your comment was rude in my opinion. Saying I know nothing and have 0 knowledge of what I am talking about is just misguided anger in my opinion. You can disagree with someone without being rude. I understand you are mad about things that have happened. I'm sorry you are having such a hard time with it, but you should try to be more respectful with things you post. Thats just my opinion though.

I see all of my woman friends are on here....sorry I missed the fun! All of the players who have been cut so far were injured last year or lacked productivity Sadly that includes Peyton!!
Sometimes we forget that overcoming an injury is extremely hard work. PT is not fun and then getting back to 'football shape?" We tend to look at what is done on the field. None of the players cut performed well last year, or did not perform at all.
Garcon was offered 5 years and turned it down...."after further review....he dropped the ball."
Hey Brent, missed you on here too, always nice to have your opinion. You are so right about the PT. I agree with the cuts but do worry a little about who will play next year. LOl, @ your joke at the end there, funny!

Early on... someone replied that the Colts were going to lose alot of the female fans, stating that females only watch because of certain players, etc... don't even know what that statement had to do with my questions, I guess because a female started this thread, I don't know. Doesn't matter, I wasn't offended, but the moderators deleted that comment.
I commented that it was insulting so I think that is why it was taken down.

In the beginning of the thread there was a comment that has now been removed. It said most of the Colts female fan base would be gone now. Said most women watch to see certain players not just to watch football. I disagree.

Well for the record I happen to like the "girl power" we have going on in this thread! I might be male but even I'll say some of our better posters here are female! Some of my favorites are female, besies you three Colliefangirl, Jules, Coltssouth and shecolt are some my favs and probably more I forgot me so forgive me if I didn't mention you.

I liked both posts for you guys, just for good measure. I also took care of the insulting post, too. That type of stuff is not needed. There are tons of female football fans who love the game.
That would be the same as saying the male fans only watch the games for the cheerleaders.

I have a feeling he had an idea it was coming. I mean I am sure his agent asked about it. With that said I think Mathis is just really excited about playing for Pagano. He was the first player I saw speaking out about him when we hired him. He was in Fox 59's studio almost as soon as the presser was over. I think that style of defense has him really excited.
I am glad he's coming back we are going to need him. Also not like Mathis had much choice we put the tag on him so it was going to be play for us or don't play.
I remember that when he was saying he was excited about it. He liked the idea of it right away. I think he can really shine in a 3/4. I kind of question Freeney though .

Question for mods why do we have limits on how many likes we can give out a day? I understand the limit with negatives that have gone away but what's wrong with being able to say hey I liked what you posted a bunch of times a day?

I do not understand why people are hating him for doing his job. He is supposed to do what is best for the franchise and that is all he has done. I'm glad he did it. I know many people are having a tough time with it but it had to be done. I have seen this coming for some time now. I didn't think it would all happen so sudden and with losing Peyton but it is what it is.
Like I have said in other posts Peyton hid a lot of flaws but I think many of us knew they were there. Its nice to keep people when you have had them for so long but does not make sense if it is hurting the franchise. We are starting fresh now and I think Pagano is going to bring a new energy into the team.
I have not had a problem with anything Grigson has done and will not judge him for doing the tough stuff that I think no one else would want to do.

Women are smart, savvy, & typically follow entire teams not just a single player I completely agree. Peyton Manning is the exception that literally defies the rule.
Jeff Saturday will retire & Reggie Wayne will land with Peyton in Denver or Miami in my humble opinion.
I would have liked your post but I have met my quota for the day. Thank you for saying that. I agee about Denver or Miami though. They made is sound pretty convincing on ESPN. Only other place I was thinking was maybe Cardinals with Larry Fitzgerald. Could you see Peyton throwing to a duo of FItzgerald and Wayne? wow!

I agree with Freeney because he does not want to restructure. I don't see Saturday coming back and I think Wayne may follow wherever Peyton goes possibly. Not sure about the rest. As far as being a female fan, it has nothing to do with a certain player. That is a little insulting to me, I am a Colts fan, have been and will be forever. If I only watched for certain players I don't think I would be on here talking about football.

Sure he's questionable picks but to say Edge and Faulk (who wasn't Polian's pick) were his only good picks is not true.

I would even go as far to say Addai was horrible. He bounced out sideways and always lost a yard EVERY dang play. He was versatile enough to catch a pass from Manning and block, but besides that, he wasn't that great.
Yes, I agree. I was trying to be nice I guess but I never thought he was that great either.

we should be fine at rb for a while. I think brown and carter will be a nice random for a while in this new era an it's no like we need to a Adrian Peterson of RB.
Yeah Adrian Peterson is a freakin beast! ha! Would be pretty awesome. Yeah thats why I said eventually though, wait and see if Brown proves himself and Carter to not fumble.

Brown finally showed flashes of being a number one back last year the Colts will give him that shot this year. The plan was to let Addai walk last year but Brown hadn't proved enough that they felt good about that so they brought him back. Now that Brown has I think it makes sense. Also Addai I think was just a Manning guy. With no more Manning I don't know if the Colts need a RB whose biggest strengths are in the passing game.
If Brown can show it this year then I am happy with him. I think this is his year to prove himself.

Addai was average at best, and getting old. I am not worried about RB position at all. Plus many other positions that need more attention right now. Brown and Carter will be fine for now I think. Not great but fine, eventually we will need to get a RB though.

I think the Polians always understand no back up QB could do what Manning could do so at best they were going to be a band aide. The problem was that the team had gotten to a point that even with Manning they probably were no longer a contender.
Good point! No one could do what he did. I think if Tom Brady had to work with what Peyton had he would not have all those rings. One reason why I say Peyton in the GOAT.

the main fact of the matter is this..last year..the colts basically showed everyone that without peyton manning they had no identity..then out of desperateness the colts finally won two games..which in the end didnt really matter. the point is..that with the manning blanket over the colts..there was really no reason for the polians to worry even when they brought in mummble jummble players to fill the void.however once the curtain was lifted, the whole word witness why the colts will never be as good of a team if it werent for manning. that being said, this new GM and new head coach..i am truly thankful to them for what they are doing..because i believe the time has come for the colts to grow from being a toddler team ..into a team that can be as elite as the patriots, saints, and packers..and instead of a one demision..they will be complete. and to all of the band wagon folk who dont even know what there talking about. you just watch our team in the years to come. youll wish you hadnt insulted the colts then.
Manning makes everyone around him look better then what they really are. He is amazing. The Polians should have been more prepared for something like this. Even with Peyton playing making things look good , I always said if we lost him our team would be terrible. It was always there to see and I guess they just chose to be blind to it.

I have respect for the man. He made the toughest decision that had to be made and did what was best for the franchise. I would of loved to keep Peyton until he retired and I am not happy he is gone. I may not like it but I know it was the right thing to do. I will miss our beloved #18. I will watch him wherever he plays. I will always be a Colts fan no matter what . I wish people would just give the man a break, put yourself in his position. I'm sure it's a lot easier to bash people when your not the one in charge doing everything.
