Hentges will not clear wavers and I almost bet that Travis is being shopped tonight and if need be, he is the cut not Hentges.

I've been hoping that we might keep Hentges and get a good backup O-lineman for Travis, rather than just lose him in the cuts.

    Absolutely agree.

He only threw 7 int's, but 3 or 4 of those were near the end of close games. I remember one of those was a fluke tip that was returned for a pick 6.

Despite being sacked 52 times, Brissett only turned the ball over 10 times.

                                              comp%               QB rating            turnovers

    Brissett    2017 :                58.8                         81.7                         10

    Manning 1998 :                 56.7                         71.2                         30

    Luck        2012 :                 54.1                          76.5                         23

    From Colts.com...

In 2014, Brissett was one of three quarterbacks in college football to record 2,000 passing yards, 300 rushing yards, 20 passing touchdowns and less than five interceptions, with the other two being Marcus Mariota and Brett Hundley.

    - His 23 touchdowns in 2014 are the seventh-most in a season in North Carolina State history.

    - Threw 187 consecutive passes without an interception during the season, the seventh-longest streak in ACC history.

Not turning the ball over is a big deal, and worth a lot.

  3. I get that Luck was in pain with his ankle and frustrated with it.  What's curious is that a lot of people said he looked pretty lively in recent drills at training camp.  I'm not sure how one pulls that off with a significant ankle injury.

But given that the pain was real, why not just go on IR?  If the ankle isn't better by the end of the season, then that's the time to retire.

I think he cemented his 53 spot

          I thinking Ken Dilger

The only problem with putting promising players onto the 53 is you have to also take one off.

Some of you are taking this way to light. If you think this isn’t going to effect the first game you really are foolish.

I'm not taking this to light.  I'm taking this to peace and happiness.

When cuts happen. Going to be hard on WR and 2ndary group. I predict alot of argueing amongst us.

Is keeping 6 WRs, 4 rbs, and 4 TEs doable with the amount of OL and DL. Ballard and Reich like to keep?

Yes, it's doable, but not easy.  Would likely mean making a difficult cut somewhere on defense.

I'm not really digging all the attention the team has been getting. I want to lay low

Doesn't really matter.  You just plug away, regardless.  KC gets attention.  NE gets even more.  It's a part of success, and it means you're doing something right. So, I hope the Colts keep getting attention.

Why 3?  And, you forgot Hines.

    Nyheim Hines

    Marlon Mack

    Spencer Ware

    Jordan Wilkins

    Jonathan Williams

Because the team can carry only 53, and with an emphasis on having a good rotation of pass rushers, for example, something has to give in terms of what your ideal number would be at some other position, and that might easily be RB.

    RB?

Out of the 7 picks still to go, at this point...

I think they will pick at least one RB.  Need some more quality competition there for camp.

Also think they will pick a G, T and maybe 2 LB

It's so quiet around here that even the trolls and Negativians are nowhere to be found.  I'd even be happy with people making stuff up at this point.

I guess its good tho for us to catch our breath and let the skin grow back on our fingertips.

Soon enough, we'll be back to name-calling, backstabbing, and slander.  Yes, Colt fans, its draft time.....enjoy.

Recent discoveries indicate that around 9% of the genome of the Negativians derives from Denisovans, suggesting significant interbreeding. Scientists continue their search for the genes most responsible for the expressed negativity.

  11. I thought it was a good game.  Both defenses played very well.

But the most enjoyable part was just watching Edelman. I've always believed of all the receiver skills, speed is the most overrated. I put it 4th behind route running, catching the ball and YAC, and Edelman is superb at all of those.

Tony Romo has easily become my favorite announcer. Dude calls the plays before they happen.

I was extremely impressed with his color commentary. His knowledge about the game and its nuances was why.

Remember, the Pats are winning with James White and company.  In other words, they still win with scheme and coaching and scheme fit players .  We played much better with scheme and coaching this year so hopefully we continue to get better in that vein.

Yep.  The Patriots are at the bottom of the draft year after year, and they keep going deep into the playoffs.
