Is it okay if I back out of this draft? I have some health matters I'm dealing with. I'm not sure I can commit to this right now. To much life things going on right now. I would appreciate it if I can back out. Not that I want to. Hopefully I can get back to normal health. Thanks!!

We already have a 6'3 pass catching high end. His name is Kylen Granson. With Woods and probably Ogletree coming back I really don't think we will pick Bowers. He's not Kelce or Gronk. Instead we need a dynamic WR, CB or edge for #15.

I agree and I don't want a TE in the first round unless it is a Dallas Clark lol

Nabers at 4 seems more realistic.  We tagged Pittman and no guarantee he will resign next year.  Question remaining cap space for 2025 depending on how aggressive we are this offseason plus got Paye/Dayo to figure out going forward.

Assuming if we did move up to 4 we expect to make the playoffs and give up next years RD1.  Would Bowers or Nabers be that difference maker?  Guess can take Bowers and hope to draft Pearsall in RD2 which I do like.  Already dreaming of draft day and still the anticipation of free agency coming first.

2025 top draft class in R1 has got some players do want badly so not sure like to give up.  Edge Jack Sawyer or Ohio State teammate JT Tuimoloau would be tempting but really want Florida’s Princely Umanmielen.  Starting to see a Florida pattern emerge.  Linebacker Harold Perkins (LSU) fill a void along with Cincinnati’s NT Dontay Corleon.

I trust in Ballard whatever he does. I'm just saying sitting at 15 I don't think Bowers falls that far. Maybe Thomas, he is not a bad option IMO

I also like the idea of favoring nothing but the offense side of the ball. I believe it was Superman had made a post stating the same thing. Anything to make it easier for the new QB (Richardson)

Okay, here's my thinking. I've been vacillating on this, but I think the Colts should spend this offseason bolstering the offense, however they can. Approach the draft with a BPA/don't reach focus, but the goal should be to support the QB as much as possible.

My reasoning is that making sure we have a QB that we can build around is the biggest question and the most important factor in determining whether we can contend in the playoffs moving forward. I think we've seen enough to know that Richardson has the capability and potential, but whether he reaches that potential depends largely on the circumstances and his surrounding cast. So make sure we have that box checked in 2024.

To me, that means improving the OL/depth at RG and RT, including a swing tackle who can backup Raimann and/or Smith (maybe that becomes Freeland, but give him some competition and make him fight for it). It means improving the pass catchers, whether that's a significant upgrade at WR or at TE, or both. I think we have some promising players at both positions already, but I wouldn't mind totally revamping the TE room. MAC probably needs to go, Granson has one year left and is a hybrid, Ogletree is probably gone, Mallory is fine as a backup. Woods is the most talented, and he didn't play all year. We don't have a single TE among the bunch who has more than 31 catches in a season.

We also need a good backup QB who can run the Richardson offense if necessary. I appreciate Minshew, but his physical limitations hold the offense back. Another good backup RB would be good, because I expect Moss to move on. I'd bring him back, but only on a backup level contract.

So I would like a new WR (proven veteran, or high level prospect), an upgrade at TE, and at least two new OL who can play on Sundays. I'd re-sign Pittman, probably move on from MAC and Minshew. And my hope would be to go into 2024 with no significant questions about the personnel on the offensive side of the ball.

This is dead nuts right! Could not have been said any better.

There has been a lot of rumors cardinals want to trade out of the 4th spot.

Rumors are Colts want Bowers also. They are not going to get him at 15th. Ballard is not going to trade up ever. It's not his thing, he likes trading back for more picks.

I love it and I want lions to be there at the end.

    Ravens 7-10

    49ers 7-10

I hate making these picks because I want the Lions to win and Ravens. I just not a huge fan of chiefs or ravens. But I'm rooting for Lamar. I like Lamar. Going with my gut feeling and I'm waiting for SB to place any bets. Haha

I was born on February 4th many years ago I had my party while watching the colts bears Superbowl I had a heart attack (kidding) watching the opening kickoff but we won My other birthday present came from Florida later on. Major flops in the AFC this season. Those predicted to roll into the playoffs are all but dead. Disappointing all around and the lesson here is don't tear up you horse race tickets until the results are official.

This is football, not horse racing. Lmao big difference. Like the old saying goes any giving Sunday. It's been that way all year, the team that wanted it the most won. Football isn't the Kentucky Derby a few minutes and done. Haha

Bills won't win, don't bet on that. Just want to save you money there. After what happened in that Regular Season game, it won't happen. Top 5 QB's of all-time = Brady, Montana, Peyton, Mahomes, Unitas. My apologies to Elway and Rodgers. Mahomes in bold because he won't lose to Allen. Ravens are a different beast because Lamar is playing the MVP and their defense is only giving up 16.5 points a game. Ravens can beat them.

I won't bet on that game. Both teams have not been very impressing IMO. I took Bill's cause they have been playing good football at the most important time.

Nice pick, I should have known that the Cowboys were frauds. They suck people in every year making some think they are great, then they are a pile of poo in the playoffs.

    Agree

I have a couple friends now that I hang around that are huge Bears fans. They were Bears fans before the Colts moved here. They talk about 1985 a lot, that was a great team. When I bring up 2006, they cringe haha .

I always told my bears friends that SB night. You ever seen a Colt f a bear? I said bend over I will show you. Hope I don't offend anyone, but my friends are crazy Bear fans. When I could say something like that and get them to hush it was a great time. 😂

It's a tough pill to swallow knowing we were a hair away from winning the Division and the way the last play went down. I was sick to my stomach all night and was thinking if we had done this or that different. I felt bad for Ballard too because he finally could have won a Division Title (we didn't know it at the time but when Jax lost on Sunday that would have been the case). So, no Monkey off the back yet for him either! I know it's hindsight, but I thought in real time - on that 4th and 1, I run Taylor. I am giving the ball to my best player who has 188 yards already. Pete Carroll got cute in the SB and didn't run Beast and it cost him a Championship.

I feel your pain. I thought damn if Minshew didn't throw a bad  pass too him that is 6. I think damn if that was a play drown up for any player that actually touched the ball that evening a automatic 6. It's all a what if, but damn good playcall. SOB 😢

Yeah, I was 13 years old when we got the Colts entering the 1984 season. Been a fan since. We sucked from 1984-1986 but I was so young being a kid, I really didn't care back then. When we got Dickerson in 1987, we became no joke. Nobody could laugh at us then.

Oh yeah I remember I was 10 and my best friend was a bears fan and I was a redskins fan. I remember us getting harbaugh and I rubbed it in his face. Lmao I loved colts every since they came to Indy and I left the Washington redskins. Commanders suck and their name change suck!! Haha
