  1. i dont get it man, we had a very high 6th round pick.... that could have used for backup qb, special teams and a host of other things. now we get a 4MIL cap hit???? ON AN OT? are you kidding. We can't afford that right now????!!!!!! UGH.

Why would you draft a starter and back up QB in the same draft????

Secondly, we just end up moving down what, 10 spots in that round. Seriously not that big of a deal. And if we can get Justice to play to the level he has flashed at times, this will be a steal.

  2. Yeah that should be 199 lbs. That is what I get for copy/pasting. Yeah if we sign Carlson or Tamme then I would be all for getting Brandon Thompson or a CB with the 2nd pick, or even Harrison Smith. The main reason I went Fleener is because Luck would have needed someone to throw to and I feel Fleener is going to be a Great player in the league and they already have chemistry.

  3. already got a pass catching tight end but other picks I like, Id love to see PHYSICAL corners, I think we can get by taking a wide receiver in the middle to late rounds, we desperately need a corner and DT, honestly I just dont see us going and getting a big name free agent then again this a new regime

Who is our pass catching TE? Dallas Clark was just cut and Tamme is a FA, so right now we just have Eldridge and he is more of a blocking TE than pass catcher. Flemming is a physical corner. Everything I read on him says he is a Man corner, and his weakness is zone.

With the DT, with the slow transition of learning that position we almost NEED to pick one up in FA. Even if it isn't one of the top FAs. Then we could grab Chapman with either the pick from Freeney, or our Comp. Pick from Session.

  4. Round 1 Pick 1

Andrew Luck QB Stanford 6'4" 235lbs - No Explaination needed.

    Round 2 Pick 34

Coby Fleener TE Stanford 6'6" 247lbs - With us cutting Dallas Clark a pass catching TE is needed. Fleener fits the bill and watching Stanford play this year he has GREAT chemistry with Luck, add in the size and speed and this kid could be a steal.

    Round 3 Pick 65

Marvin Jones WR Cal 6'2 248lbs - He is a great route runner with really good body control and great hands. Could be a great playmaker for us.

    Round 4 Pick 98

Jamell Flemming CB Oklahoma 5'11" 206lbs - Best suited to be a Press-Man corner, not as strong playing off the ball, but has great ball skills and is an excellent tackler.

    Round 5 Pick 130

Audie Cole ILB NC State 6'4" 248lbs - He showed great vision at the Senior Bowl and also has the ability to transition from 3-4 to 4-3 which would be great. He is quick and versitile.

    Round 6 Pick 161

Ryan Miller OG Colorado 6'7" 326lbs - He has tackle size but the speed and nimblness to pull and trap Moderate Pass blocker but Great Run Blocker. He could be plugged in from day one and be a solid OL for years.

    Round 7 Pick 194

TJ Graham WR NC State 5'11" 182lbs - Really fast with the ability to be a return man. sometimes has issues with hands, but runs fairly good routes.

I didn't grab a NT because I have a feeling that will be addressed through FA, but if we end up trading Freeney I would imagine that pick could be used for Ta'Amu if early enough for Josh Chapman. Same going with the Comp Picks, if we get a 4th I could see Champman being selected there.

  5. It is all just Florio Speculation. If Mario Williams can play OLB, Freeney should have no problem.Plus with Mathis and Freeney moving all around you could have some nasty alignments. Could you imagine a look with Freeney with his hand on the ground and Mathis standing up beside him?

  6. "Still bleedin blue" sounds like homie wasn't going anywhere anyway. Gratuitous use of the tag however it likely means they had no desire whatsoever to tag anyone else. Also I believe this means Wayne Ain't wearin blue anymore.

I came to that conclusion once we started going in the new direction. I hate it, but I think that was just the plan all along.

  7. I'm not that high on Reuben Randle, I like Mohamed Sanu a lot more. Guy had 115 catches and over 1,200 yards last year. A more offensive mock that I had in mind was:

    1.1: Andrew Luck QB Stanford

    2.41: Mohamed Sanu WR Rutgers

    2.46: Brandon Thompson NT Clemson

    2.51: Coby Fleener TE Stanford

    4.97: Jake Bequette DE/OLB Arkansas

I think Sanu can be a future star in the NFL, don't care if his 40 was slow because he looks like the fastest guy on the field when he has the ball. I think Fleener can be the next Jimmy Graham or Rob Grokowski, and a familiar target to Luck. Bequette needs to lose a little weight to gain quickness and if he can do that he can play 3-4 OLB in the NFL.

I forgot to add the 6th round composition pick. Vontaze Burfict if he's there? I like DeQuan Menzie if he's there too.

I love this version. As long as we stay far away from Burfict. I just think he has massive bust written all over him, even in the 6th.

  8. Sanu ran just 2 tenths of a sec faster than Poe. 40 times only mean so much. Watch the tape to determine the ability. Then decide if it takes Revis to covor or if he can be covered by Haloti Ngata. lol.

I watched him play this year. I would tune into the So Car games just to watch him. He showed no ability to separate. the only way he was able to was vertically where he outsized the man defending him. Honestly I just didn't see talent at the level of an NFL reciever, I just saw him using his size.

  9. I could see him falling to the 3rd or even 4th now. His size isn't even that big of a deal, now that Stephen Hill and Tommy Streeter have run 4.3 40s at 6'5", I think they're ahead of Jeffery now.

Exactly, when you have 0 speed and all you made a living on in college was being able to tower over the DB and keep him from getting to the ball because your girth forced him farther from the ball, that won't help in the pros. When the story is his speed is slow enough for a LB to cover him, makes him kinda useless as a pro. I mean I know I don't want a reciever that an opposing team can cover with a OLB on the outside.
