  1. I think the negatives still out weigh the positives.

I would be curious to see you actually write out both of your lists of Positives and Negatives and compare.

Because I look at the young OL, the Weapons on offence, and the transition that we made to a 3-4 and I just don't see the negatives that alot of people around here have to say about him. I think everyone really just sees the Trent Richardson trade and Bjorn Werner not producing as well as they expect and see him as a failure, but not enough to outweight the good.

  2. Point is the Colts d-line gets tossed around like rag dolls by the other teams o-line and rushing 3 guys with the lack of talent the Colts have in the d-backfield will not lead to wins

Actually our DL doesn't get tossed around, they just don't get fast enough penetration, especially on the outsides where Mathis was our ONLY pass rush.

I truly think Werner is being played out of position in the Rush backer spot. I think he would do much better as a future replacement for Walden. I think if we had someone even remotely close to Mathis' skill set in the Rush Backer spot right now, our Defense would be leaps and bounds better.

  3. Kelvin Hayden was servicable does not mean it will work out. Toler looks like he is still hurt. I 'm sure Josh Gordy is serviceable why don't we let him start. HUghes is not even a starter. I was talking about starters. Guess I should have clarified that for ppl like you. Let me guess you are going to say that Pep called a great game vs Philly and Manusky just has to find the right system to put in and everything will work out?

See my post above about our D-Line, none of them are below 290lbs. And again, why do you have to end up clarifying everything that you say with an insult? It really doesn't help your cause, unless that is to make yourself look bad, then by all means, you are succeeding.

  4. WOW! where should we start. Toler is a legit db? With Mathis there last year rushing the QB Toler was getting burnt at least 3x a games Did you not see him vs SD on MNF last Oct? How about vs Miami last year in Week2 There is a reason Tannehill kept going to Toler side but I'm sure a smart guy like yourself knew that. Butler has been Stellar? Did you not watch the KC and NE play off games last year? Ya cause our Dline gets to the qb so often so it must be that they are all 6"6 and 340lbs. Everyone who watched NCAA football knew Luck was better than RG3 well obviously not everyone as you proved. Wait knowing your logic cause RG3 won the Heisman he must be the better QB. Adams has looked fine? Obviously you did not watch the Philly game. Once Macklin burnt Toler for the 4th time Adams was 3  days late getting over. But hey he has looked fine. Hughes? Who are you talking about? Jerry Hughes is with Buffalo way to know the roster. BTW Hughes is 254lbs playing DE.

350lbs. And Jerry Hughes was drafted by Polian, not Grigson. Also look at the DL that Grigs has brought in.

    Arthur Jones 6'3" 337lbs

    Rickey Jean Francois 6'3" 297lbs

    Cory Redding 6'4" 318lbs

    Kelcy Quarels 6'4" 294lbs

    Zach Kerr 6'2" 335lbs

    Josh Chapman 6' 340lbs

    Jeris Pendelton 6'2" 323lbs

    Nnamdi Obukwelu 6'3" 303lbs

I'm not seeing these "light weight" DEs and DTs you are talking about. Another thing to notice, that WHOLE DL has been built in 3 years. The Only DL left from the Polian Era is Fili Moala who is 6'4" 308lbs.

Oddly enough you have yet to even bring up the game last year against Denver, when our DBs basically shut them down completely. that is until the second half when our DBs were all basically injured. I'm not going to disagree that Toler has flaws, but he is certainly much better than any #2 CB that I can remember us having here. And I honestly don't see a solid replacement available.

Plus don't forget to take into account that more teams pass his way because Vontae almost shuts down the other side of the field, so the throws have to go some where. And also, even with Mathis last year our pass rush was below average, thus giving QBs time to sit back and pick us apart, 98% of NFL Corners will get beat when the QB can sit in the pocket for 5-6 seconds without being touched.

  5. Oh, I know what a 'bleep bleep' I am. Appreciate you clarifying that. I smell a great future for you in whatever profession you choose. Good luck and stay focused.

At least we know he can truly argue his point instead of just making pointless insults at people that disagree....

    :goat:

  6. Spelling isn't your strong suit is it?

Seriously though, Toler is a legit DB, when we have an actual pass rush him and Vontae have been a solid duo. Landry, yeah he is really not making much of a case for him being worth what we paid.

Adams has looked fine also, and Butler has been stellar since we signed him. And you keep harping on Grigson for making the easy pick of Luck, even though many others said they would choose RG3, then add in the fact that the rest of that draft was one of the best we have seen in a long time.

Not sure what D-Lineman we have drafted that weigh 260, Chapman and Hughes are no where near that number, and if you mean Werner, well you have proven everyone's point that you have no idea what you are talking about since OLB != DL. (by the way != means does not equal, just in case you didn't know that.)

  7. When it was at the point of 10-0, maybe even 17-0 I wasn't cool about the fact that we abandoned the running game in Denver, so kudos to Philly for sticking with their convictions. Of course I will say it's a little bit easier to do when you are playing an anemic offense like the Jags, versus remaining with your convictions versus the #1 offense in NFL history.

One thing to keep in mind about the difference in situations here, Philly was playing Jacksonville, not really a high powered offense, we were playing Denver. We HAD to give up the running game at that point and get as many chances as possible to score, since Denver has the ability to score at will and has shown it in the past. Jacksonville really does not have that ability so Philly could run it and burn some clock without the fear of Jacksonville running up the score or going score to score with them.

  8. The one player that turned that around, I could have drafted him.

Why is it that I keep on seeing this brought up lately. So the fact that Grigson has completely re-shaped our defense and re-loaded us with offensive weapons is completely negated because he sent a 1st for Richardson and it has yet to work out?

This is a team that we dumped ALL of the stars on the offensive side from, outside of Reggie Wayne, and he has replenished that pool with young talent.

Or the fact that we turned a 2nd rounder into a very solid young Starting CB?

How about adding in the fact that he had probably the strongest single draft in team history that year. I guess that never happened. But hey, since he made the choice for Luck, and you could have made that choice, we know that you weren't one of the people complaining about letting Manning go, or thinking that RG3 was the new hotness.

  9. The Indianapolis Colts today waived the following 17 players:

    DE-Gannon Conway,

    RB-David Fluellen,

    QB-Chandler Harnish,

    DE-Tyler Hoover,

    OLB-Phillip Hunt,

    ILB-Andrew Jackson,

    WR-Ryan Lankford,

    WR-Josh Lenz,

    C-FN Lutz,

    S-Dewey McDonald,

    DT-Nnamdi Obukwelu,

    CB-Sheldon Price,

    ILB-Rob Ruggiero,

    TE-Weslye Saunders,

    ILB-Kelvin Sheppard,

    TE-Erik Swoope

    G-Josh Walker.

Saunders and Sheppard are the only real suprises

  10. Grigson got absolutely fleeced and is just digging this team into a deeper hole. Aside from having Luck fall into his lap what has he done exactly?

Seriously? so you are saying getting Josh Chapman, Cory Redding, Arthur Jones, TY Hilton, Hakeem Nicks, Laron Landry, Gosder Cherilus, Ahmad Bradshaw, Dwayne Allen, Coby Fleener, Vick Ballard is doing nothing. And that is without factoring in that Hugh Thornton, Kahled Holmes, Jack Mewhort are all his draft picks, and since they have yet to play together you can't call them busts.

What about the Trade for Vontae, signing Toler, Butler, Freeman, D'Qwell Jackson, and so on. The fact that he completely rebuilt the defense in just 3 years says something. And if you can honestly sit back and say that all Grigs has done is have Luck fall into his lap proves your blindness.

Was the Trent trade a bad one, yeah it was atleast at this point. But I think the moves he has made, especially on the defensive side prove that he is a much better GM than you are making him out to be.
