  1. Well at least the Colts are taking the right approach here. Play hardball on your expectation. Taylor is a stud. He is worth a first round pick. If you cannot move him, then hold on to him and move him closer to the deadline when a talent like his will have more value to contenders.
  2. At this point it looks like Taylor will be moved at the trade deadline. That's the best time to get what you can for a RB of his caliber because in that moment his quality will speak to the contenders. But it would not surprise me if they move him sooner, though I think that is unlikely as everyone (Irsay and the Colts decision makers) is going to need to marinate in this situation a bit more before the obvious end result is accepted.
  3. Been on vacation. I did say the market is the market. I am not blaming Irsay for the RB market. I am saying the guy is past his prime as owner and his final years might suck more and more as we go forward. I think his weighing in with the RB situation was unnecessary, it would have been better to let the people he pays to work with Taylor's representation instead of weighing in and making it personal and alienating a player who is crucial to us this season. Way I see it he's had his fingers in more things than just the RB situation of late. And I am feeling more and more like the guy is not benefitting us overall from that owner chair. If you disagree, I am fine with that as always. But as I see it the next five years or so for the Colts isn't particularly bright and Irsay is part of that take.
  4. Been getting bad vibes from Irsay for a while now. Starting to think we might have a lot of ugly ahead. Hope not, but it feels that way to me right now. Taylor's frustration I get btw. But the market is the market. He'll make some good money, it just won't be as much as he prefers.
  5. Torrence should be a target for sure. Will probably be there at 35. Porter would be fantastic. Both him and Branch are going to go quite quickly I would think. Branch is very active on film, all over the place. Hyatt would complete our WR room nicely. That would be my 4 for day two.
  6. Wow. Congrats to Richardson. Hope this kid hits like a lottery ticket.
  7. Oh and nice job trying to hide from me over here in General. But I miss nothing.
  8. I would fire the OL coach immediately at this point. This line has consistently been worse than the sum of its parts. They are not improving at all and you cannot win in this league if your line is losing every snap up front.
  9. Yeah he's done some nice things. Getting outside the pocket on that drive and getting rid of the ball instead of taking the sack was something we hadn't seen from our QB. Not making risky throws. Ehlinger is not the problem today but he is going to need to make more plays for us to win. Frank is going to need to trust his QB in the second half. Open it up Frank. Mix in some naked boots on the critical downfield situations and let the kid play. What do we have to lose at this point.
  10. Difference in this one is the turnover and the Patriots running the ball on some of their drives. For the second half if the defense keeps their run game in check the score will remain low. So we are still in this game. But special teams is killing us here. Game like this teams needs to be on point.
  11. Nice thing is the kid's not turning the ball over. He's going to need to back the Pats defense off by hurting them with his arm. Frank needs to open things up at this point but we'll see how much he trusts the QB.
  12. Now we're gonna see what Ehlinger is made of. This is a great test for him. Let's go kid.
  13. Game is still in hand. Need a drive here on offense so hopefully protections can adjust. Can't let them get home consistently with 4. And need to start getting some yards on the ground.
  14. The problem isn't the run calls. It's that the Patriots are winning up front.
  15. When the defense is getting home with 4 rushers you need to mix it up. Establishing the run would help a ton.
  16. Frank needs to get away from the read option on that end. Pats are well prepped on it. I'd counter with some naked boots to get Sam in space.
  17. Just keep the offense balanced and don't drop Ehlinger in too many third and longs and we should be ok. Colts defense should enable the win here. Patience, field position, and trust the kid QB when you need to.
