I disagree. He regressed as the season progressed. Not what u want to see.
you mean after he was hurt and determined he was still better than anyone else to play the position for the team? And yes I'm including wonder boy in there

The only problem is that Kelly makes more as a 3rd string NFL qb then he would make as an XFL starter.
I could be wrong, but I am not sure the money is his motivator. Unless he needs more AK47 to shoot up a bar
This kid need to pay his dues, And the Colts are handing it brilliantly

I said If he sees a guy he is sold on this year it does no good delaying it another year. No one knows what the QB situation in the draft will be next year or where we will be drafting. You don’t delay it if there is a guy in this draft he is sold on.
You also dont draft a QB just for the sake of drafting a QB
There will be 3 QB's vying for the Heisman next yr . Way better draft class than this yr

Where in your opinion do we need to be after this draft?

No DT is going to win you games if you don’t have a offense that can score.
I only need to score 2 points to win on a safety Or 3 points on a FG
Typical COlt fan thinks its all about offense
Look back at the season!!!!
If defense would've held we win 3-4 more games .
JB with healthy WR and a top 5 D and we are in the playoffs
And once again..... I am not a JB fan

I trust ballard. If we don’t draft the future QB in the first or early second that means he didn’t like them. Or we missed out by not getting a team to agree to trade up or a team snatched the one he wanted before we could pick. I am fine going into the season with Jacoby. I think he will improve enough with a couple upgraded weapons and WR staying healthy. What I am not fine with is him not at least trying everything he can do if he sees a clear upgrade. I don’t want to be in this same position after next season and the QB are even worse. Or we finish 8-8 and are picking lower then this year. If he sees his guy this draft I hope he does everything possible to try and get him. Doesn’t mean it will work but I hope he tries.
if he passes on a QB when they are right there and they go on to play well while we still are having mediocre QB play he is going to get fired and so will Reich.
Then why are you dead set on it has to be a draft pick this yr? It might be an aging FA Please don't say you're not and make me quote you a million times

your're right @ReMeDy . no one was more over rated than Caine

Let him go. Most over rated player since Dion Cain

I buy both the NFL and MLB tickets. The rest of the package is pretty standard ... HBO , Showtime and the other "usual channels. Right now it's costing me a hair over $300 per moth. Direct TV is really a huge ripoff and I'm thinking of switching and "streaming" the 2 sports packages. I'm just afraid the technology might be a bit tough for me.
Im really a "WIFI GUY" . kinda in my wheelhouse . PM me if you want advice

If Brissett rolls in to the season as the unquestioned starter, without a realistic replacement plan in place(i.e. a 1st or 2nd round QB) it will be the first time in 17 years that I don't pay for Sunday Ticket, will also be the first time in about a decade that I will make no effort to see at least one game in person.
where are you seats? I'm looking for something in Level 3

There would be no purpose of drafting a guy in the 3rd round with Kelly already on the roster.
OMG . I am agreeing with Chloe

I will be curious to see if 3-4 OTs go before our pick... Browns, Arizona, Jets, Giants, etc...all need online help. Raiders need WRs... I see CeeDee going to Arizona...to play with his college buddy. Jeudy to the Raiders... wondering who the random guy that always seems to get selected in the top 10-15 picks will be this year.
I get what you are saying, but don't think it happens. Too many BPA above the 3-4 OT's

So let me get this straight. Sources said we r going to trade for Carr. Sources saya Rivers is going to sign with the Colts. Sources say we r going to draft Love. So.....Rivers will start and Carr will b our back up. So who the hell is going to mentor Love??? And does that mean that it wont b like 4 years till Love takes over the reigns?? Just saying. Sources.....sources...sources...................rubbish!!
Exactly!!!!!

If we somehow get Kinlaw that will be a heck of a draft pick. I would be surprised if he isn't a good pro.
He's gonna be the steal of the 1st round

I would say Burrow and Young are the 2 best players in this draft, Burrow plays the most important position and looks great. I don't even trust Tua because of his injuries. I like Kinlaw and Jeudy as well.
this team is sooooo close to having a top 3 defense that people don't see it. Build on your strengths and then up grade the rest.

good post . agree totally

I think we need an upgrade but I am not even sure the right QB is in this draft. This place will implode if we do not draft a QB the way some are posting in here.

Washington is not trading down and giving up Chase Young. That would be very shocking. Just because you don’t think Love or Herbert are worth it doesn’t mean that is what ballard thinks.
and just because you follow the obscure tweets that you can bend into what you want doesn't mean they want Love . your new man crush. I remember when it was JB BTW that you defended to death because you caught a snipet that Frank loved him..... (He just needs more weapons) . remember? Yes I know you changed your opinion and it will change again as the tide flows.
Chase Young is and will be for yrs . the best player in this draft. It is not arguable. But everyone wants to waste picks to trade up for a developmental player at QB . (we have one of those now)
Chase Young changes this team instantly . Kinlaw changes this team instantly.
But lets throw our money on a "hope he can do it" QB to develop for 2 yrs
Ya'll know there are more QB's next yr right?
None of this yrs QB's beside Burrows and Tua are legitimate...... immediate starters

Exactly, like @Imgrandojji says -- it is pretty uncommon for rookie QBs to have the mental and physical tools to be prepared completely to start as rookies. Some can do it, some can go through growing pains and bounce back stronger (e.g., Peyton Manning), others struggle with it a lot more (e.g., Ryan Leaf) and wind up never panning out, perhaps more due to the mental beating they took from being thrown in the fire too fast.
Wentz was 2nd team all-pro in 2017. He threw for >4,000 yards last year on a team with a lot of injury problems and lead them into the playoffs.
He may not be the best NFL QB, but he far from 'sucks.'
That whole opinion thing comes into play again. I like Liver and Onions with mustard . Do you?

What does everyone think about Gallimore as our first 2nd rounder barring either a trade or taking Kinlaw at 13? I think he's a great fit as a 3 tech on our DL and could offer good pass rushing ability from the inside. He's been compared to Booger McFarland who was a big piece of our 2006 SB team.
who else is on the board if he's still available? Yea that makes a difference. Give me the first 33 picks then we can talk. Throwing out a name and and a draft position means nothing
Like if Chase Young is available for our 1st second rounder....

If you want a QB, you should probably hope the Lions take Juedy or Lamb.
If you want Brown or Kinlaw, hope the Lions take a QB.
If you want an OT to fall, hope the Lions take Derrick Brown
If the Lions take Okudah, Lamb or Jeudy will probably fall to the Colts.
good post

I'd roll with JB over bridgewater
Give JB a healthy wr corps and less the knee injury and we were a playoff team. Add in some defense at 3 tech and rush and we are an 11 win team lat yr
and I'm not a JB fan, but the alternative isnt better either

@Chloe6124 I see your eye roll on that last post but if you think that for a second that Chase Young is not the best player in the draft you're nuts

Would everyone agree if we sign Rivers that increases the likelihood we are drafting a QB? Otherwise it really makes no sense.
NO . it means we can get some real talent with the 1st 3 picks . Even if we can combine them and trade up for Chase young.
Everyone is so absolute about needing a QB but forget we could trade up and get Chase or Kinlaw is we had to.
If we cont get Tua . there is no QB worth of the 13 pick ant other QB would be a developmental player.

nonsense . BTW I did not say nonsense it was more to the point . hate filters

you never stand pat and draft Love . You always look for BPA which is NOT Love
