If Javon kinlaw is still on the board at 13 the Colts be wise to go back a few spots and still take him. The upside here is that there are quite a few very solid defensive tackles in this draft. I do not want to see a quarterback drafted in the first round unless it's the right one for the future, not a reach
this years class of qbs all seem like reaches in the first round

Well I am pretty sure that Reich wouldn't have passed the opportuniuty to draft Bosa had he had it last year.
Parris was hurt, can't judge it. Both Bangonu and Rock would look a lot better with Bosa harrassing the QB for them.
Everything one does on the internet is what if. If not, it's pure outcome bias. Did you notice that the other team in the Superbowl has a weak defense and a hero ball QB?
hero qbs rarely come along, the colts need to find a way to win with an average qb, there are no hero qbs in this years draft class

enough of luck

luck has sat the pattern for high draft picks, play great for a year or two, get a big contract, take the money and run, live rich on the fans dollars,or why filling the roster with the draft wont work?
-
from the all 22 we need a dominate anything
-
luck took the fans money and ran , let the team and fans who made him rich down, let us move on from this person who felt like he owed us nothing and left us at a bad time
-
good luck quit his team and fans, luck quit on the people who made him rich

Do you think an NFL team needs a top 5 oline to win a SB? IDK, I was just putting that question into a collective "we" bucket to see what the thought was.
I think most would say that a team needs a top5 QB?
A top 5 EDGE player or a top 5 dlineman? Idk, I'm just guessing at what most would say about those spots.
IDK what they would say about needing a top 5 oline, or a top 5 FS for that matter.
our first round pick at free safety is not top 5, just average

Look what Cleveland's done in three years.
You can't cherry pick either way.
cleveland went the draft pick route

I think CB is one of the best GMs in the league. I mean, for this team to be 7-9 is a great accomplishment, for how many things went wrong throughout the entire year: Luck retiring and injuries. If we even delve deeper into not only how great of a job CB has done, we can also see how difficult his job was compared to almost all of the other GMs in the league.
First off, CB starts with a poorly functioned team and a very lackluster roster. The team had just been handled by one of the worst GMs in the 21st century and still had a coach that even admitted he didn't know what he was doing. As well as Andrew Luck having a completely mysterious and long term injury. He knows that there is no one he wanted on that defense other than Clayton Geathers, the offensive line was garbage and with little to no WRs(other than Hilton) and an aging Frank Gore. Even the QB (which was the best part of the team) has a very serious injury. So very little foundation to start with.
In the next off season he was trying to hire a McDaniels, and had to wait until the superbowl, and when he hired him we all know what happened. CB was at a point of very few HC candidates and had to spend much more time finding the right guy than a team who got their HC in the wildcard round. Following this with the 2019 preseason, when he thought there was no problems, came the biggest leap CB would have to overcome with Luck retiring right before the season, and almost crushed all colts fans superbowl dreams in the next 4-5 years. After this Eric Ebron just quit on the team, and now AC is thinking about retiring. Now CB has to add a whole other position to his long list of needs.
I apologize if this was a little more rushed than it should have been, I'm running low on time. I just find it funny when people think CB is a problem when he is one of the best problem solvers in the entire NFL outside of players.
with ballards method we had a losing record, all teams have injuries and issues, its up to the gm to be prepared for that

It'd better be fluid.
I don't really want to bang the Luck drum too much, but I'm 98% sure that Ballard took this job because filling in the gaps around Luck seem'd like a doable thing. Luck retiring has changed everything and now Ballard has to draft a QB- which is a substantial part of the culture.
He's going to have a real track record soon.
yes and so far the team is going downhill while the others in our division are going up

Turay was a terror before he got hurt. It was a real shame
he may never recover from that type of injury, i would not count on him

i dont like ballards use of the word rebuild to man the roster. look at hoodie he never rebuilds for years, he just upgrades the roster each season to compete, and he gets talent any way he can not just through the draft. ballards method of manning the roster with draft picks takes years if it even works at all. with ballards there have been wasted seasons and our record is getting worse while the rest of our division have moved far ahead of us.

This one I am doing a little bit differently and going to roll with Brissett next year (which I obviously do not want at all) or we got a different QB in FA. We trade our 13 to Philadelphia for their 21st and their 2nd round. Hopefully with doing all these mocks I will get at least one pick right
1st round
Mekhi Becton OT Louisville
With the uncertainty of Castonzo I'm viewing it as he doesnt come back next year and we will need his replacement and CB values the tranches to much to let it fall apart after losing a starting tackle.
2nd round 1st pick
Justin Madubuike DT Texas A&M
An explosive DT that can disrupt and produce pressure up the middle that we so desperately need.
2nd round 2nd pick
Cameron Dantzler CB Mississippi State
There are some better CB's still on the board at this pick however I made this pick assuming we are going to keep building for a cover 3 defense and in that we need size and Cameron has it at 6-2.
2nd round 3rd pick
Gabriel Davis WR Central Florida
He's got great size and speed (6-3) and can create seperation. Has excellent production in college. Honestly believe if this class wasn't so loaded he'd be a fringe first rounder.
3rd round
Curtis Weaver DE Boise State
I would put money on that as long as Chris Ballard is at the reigns we draft at least one DE every year lol. He has good size and good production in college at 13.5 sacks.
4th round
Collin Johnson WR Texas
This pick still won't change in any of my mocks. I believe he will fall after the combine after testing poorly. I want to bring him in and convert him to TE. Match him up against a line backer or a slot CB and throw it up and he will catch it.
5th round
Jonah Jackson G Ohio State
Very large guard that we can hopefully mold into a decent back up and eventual starter
6th round 1st pick
Jaylinn Hawkins, S, California
6th 2nd pick
Raequan Williams, NT, Michigan State
7th round
Patrice Rene, CB, North Carolina
looks like a good plan

Honest question: what would the Titans season look like with Mariota at QB the entire season, and what would be people’s perception of Vrabel in that instance?
My guess is that the Titans wouldn’t have made the post season with Mariota at Qb and Vrabel would be feeling a little heat after missing the playoffs two years in a row.
The Colts did not have a Tannehill to bail them out. I think we have good coaching, good talent, but worse QB play currently. Reich is fine.
mariota is another high draft pick qb who didnt do well in the nfl, give me a proven vet until a once in a long while elite rookie comes along

How do you know what Ballard will spend on a proven QB?
He has never had to worry about that till Luck retired and Brissett was already on the roster.
i hope he does, but his past history says he wont give big money to game changers and the colts have a lack of game changers because of his past history

We aren’t better than any team in the division with JB at QB
ballard wants to rely on draft picks and cheap talent, he wont spend the cap to get a proven qb

There is not a GM in NFL history who hasn't.
but most do not fill the roster with just the draft and cheap free agents, they also spend the cap for proven talent, like hoodie does.

Campbell was a second round pick. That is high.
with ballards method of only filling the roster with draft picks and cheap free agents , he cant afford to miss in round 1, 2 or 3

Reaching for a quarterback and drafting a running back when we have Mack would give us the worst draft in the league. We need a defensive tackle and either a receiver or offensive tackle.
many qbs drafted in the first are busts in the nfl

I agree 100% we need to move on draft a guy or gauge the qb market for guys like cam or Carr etc...
no elite qbs in this class better to get a proven talent
