Yes! Yes! More Saved By the Bell references… I’m as shameless with my obsession for this show as the OP is with his random negativity lol

@DEColtsLover36 you should join us during the games.

Are you pulling for the Eagles?

Thanks :) I was purposely avoiding wild card weekend, still was upset about the way the Colts game ended and needed a breather before jumping back into football lol.

For the games today, it doesn’t really matter to me who wins, I think they could both go either way. As a Philly girl, part of me will always be happy for any Eagles success, but I wouldn’t say I’m rooting for them necessarily. It’s more like oh well, whatever happens happens haha. But I always love seeing the few other posters on here that give them credit or predict them to win a game (like my homeboy @2006Coltsbestever:D

If anything I would love to see the Steelers lose, can’t stand them. Really mad that the chips fell their way for them to even be in this position, and we aren’t. I wasn’t even expecting us to get that far, but once we were there I was all wrapped up in it haha. Not losing sleep over it or anything, it is what it is, but just hate seeing the Steelers do anything besides losing lol. So I would say that’s the one thing I would care about today.

Houston dominating the next decade will never happen. They barely beat us the other night and IMO we played poorly for the most part. Let's see them beat us when AR is starter because in week 2 AR was outplaying Stroud bigtime and we were up 14-0 before he got that concussion. I think between the Colts, Jags, and Texans anyone can win the South in 2024. Titans will be the only team that stinks. Just my 2 cents.

Regarding Ryans and Steichen - it is pretty even, so the Texans don't even have the better coach. Regarding Stroud being great for the next decade, we don't know if he will or not. Most people said Lawrence would dominate this year and the Jags would run away with the South. The aged about as well as everyone saying Caleb Williams /USC would win the National Championship before the season chuckling homer simpson GIF.

I agree with most of this lol. Happy to see your thoughts about the game finally! Of course your absence was noticeable in the Texans Colts post game thread. You may have jumped on after a few days but I stopped reading after about Day 2 so I could go throw eggs at stuff and cry in a corner somewhere lol lmao

I still can't get over the egg we laid vs the Falcons. At least the Bengals game, we fought for a half. The Falcons game, we were just uninspired throughout. Our OL got manhandled and our D kept missing tackles throughout the game. That late into the season, we couldn't afford to play lackadaisically in any game and we did, and paid for it.

Yes, I've read Ben Natan articles during draft time. He's in wrong site lol, should get a job in The Draft Network.

Looks like there are many Elite WRs in the first round range in upcoming draft. Few Edge rushers, few OL, and of course many QBs. This draft is gonna be very interesting, compared to last year!

Do you know about the Philly old fan, who drags the opponent team's helmet with a leash like a dog in the stadium on game days. He can be identified by having an Eagle Beak in his head, so they call him BeakMan.. this time, I saw him take Vikings helmet for a walk in week 2. I wish he at least pads the helmet with cushion to avoid the screeching noise and Marks(!) on the road.

@DEColtsLover36 do you know or have you seen the BeakMan? I've seen comment from another fan meeting BeakMan in 2006 doing the same thing, so he must have been well known in Philly tailgates. He must have every other team's helmet in his closet!

I’ve never seen him in person! LOL definitely a crazed maniac

I lived half an hour away from Philly on the way to Harrisburg, and everyone I talked to at work and watched games together are wonderful sports fans.

But, the way some loud fans act in the stadium, tailgating and in Opponent stadiums like damaging, looting, attacking, etc., shows a different side. That's not even surprising to me, knowing the city.

Maybe, it happens with many cities and their fans and the media around Philly highlights bad things a lot more than others..

I know it's a bit too much passion in Philly than usually seen when it comes to football. I thought it was because of having won no Super Bowl for so many decades compared to other NFC East teams, and it was the way they coped their losses.

But, after having won the Super Bowl now, they need to get more classy. Even taking these 4 losses in 5 games or so, I think Philly fans couldn't handle it with Grace. Booing the very QB and players that have brought so much football joy in recent years is really not graceful and grateful.

For Once, the City can start showing some class altogether in hard times like what their players are going through. It's not like any can say bring up "Zero SB" argument now.

Yeah, I agree the media loves to highlight the Philly worst lol but I know Philly fans don’t help matters.  NE fans were booing Brady during their last games when the Patriots were starting to fall apart on the field. At SB parades for New England, there were known chants of things like “one more ring,” etc. I imagine every city has a loud obnoxious part of their fan base that can never be pleased.

When Brady came back to NE for his honors, he was cheered immensely. The same thing will happen whenever Hurts retires and comes back to Philly for whatever honor. Booing happens across the league, it’s definitely not just Philly (I’m not saying that you said it was, btw, I get all of your points).

I understand the booing is seen on varying levels of “ugh” by fans across the globe lol, it’s all good. Just coming from Philly though I get stung by the sweeping negative statements about the city as a whole. Glad you have known some great Philly fans that are actually nice to talk to! Most of my family are great Philly fans too… most of them. Lol

I’ll always bring it up: they booed Santa and pelted him with snowballs. They burn down the city in riots regardless if they win or lose.

    That city sucks.

Careful please… some of us were born and raised there thanks. Definitely some crappy acting fans there but “that city sucks” kind of hits the gut lmao

@John Hammonds@Dingus McGirt@DEColtsLover36, what makes you think the Raiders are going to come in here and beat us? Just a question. I confident we win this game. Houston scares me a little because of Stroud.

Nothing specific… just think that the Raiders locker room is more energetic right now and they may come out more aggressive to get a win. Also I feel like we are a pretty easy team to figure out and plan for. JMHO. Would be great to see some surprise plays featuring Goodman or Sermon out there, them rekindling the fire from the Pitt game. But in general I don’t feel like we will have much more to offer than JT up the gut or pass to Pittman (if he plays). Which is easy for Raiders (and Houston) to plan for and stop. Still will be watching the game and hoping for a win though, so no problem if I am proven wrong! I don’t know the Raiders’ specific strengths and weaknesses so we shall see.

I know I'll be called a Downer for this, but...

I'm gonna go glass half empty.  I don't believe we will win either of these last two games.

We are a "pretty good" team, that can normally beat the bad teams we play, and can sometimes get that miracle game against a good team, but with as many guys as we have on IR, we have to conjure those miracles just to beat the meh teams.  These last two games are against teams that aren't meh.  They're not playoff teams.  But they're not meh.  I'm gonna say we lose them both.

And that doesn't mean that this season was terrible, or that Ballard needs to be fired, or whatever.  We achieved a heck of a lot more than we thought we would at the start of the season.  And we have building blocks to achieve more after this.

But I think we've driven this car, this year, with this many missing pieces, about as far as it can drive.

(Go ahead, Colts.  Prove me wrong.  Please.)

Totally agree with this. I think that Falcons game took the wind out of the sails and was the reality check- we’ve done all we can do with what we have.

Could be wrong but that’s what I’m feeling also.

Doesn’t mean I am disappointed in this season by ANY means. I have had a great time watching our Colts, and for all of us to have had so much to celebrate on the forum together these past several months! Can’t wait for next season :cheer::1colts:
