Pittman is a WR1 whether you'd like to believe it or not
And yet, he'd be #4 on the Bengals, #3 on the Rams...but, at least we got an expensive guard and Will backer

When did our online take such a turn?
2019. They had one good year and have been living on reputation since. They've been getting progressively worse each season, and were downright bad last half of last year. They look like they somehow got even worse this year.

Hyperbole is conversational garbage. No there isnt any truthtoit.
Bull
Yes we need a playmaker or two, like the other 25 teams in the league
Fine. Of those three teams I mentioned, which one would Pitman have been top 3 entering last season?

No no no
People are saying our offense doesnt have any weapons.
Thats laughable and ridiculous.
Laughable, ridiculous, and accurate.
Our best receiver last year would have been #4 on the depth chart for the Bengals, Rams, Cowboys, etc.
We have a stud RB, and a pretty decent WR. The team needs playmakers. Period.

Reich has made 3 absolutely *ic decisions in this game. While he shouldn't be fired for one game, he has really hurt the team today.

If Brissett rolls in to the season as the unquestioned starter, without a realistic replacement plan in place(i.e. a 1st or 2nd round QB) it will be the first time in 17 years that I don't pay for Sunday Ticket, will also be the first time in about a decade that I will make no effort to see at least one game in person.

Gonzalez’s name doesnt “fit” with the others.
I had such high hopes after his first two seasons that I figured buying his jersey was warranted. Shame what injuries did to his career.

That looks like one of those “which thing is not like the others?” Question.
Hmm. I'm a bit confused by your comment.

Harrison, Manning, Wayne, James, Saturday, Gonzalez, Luck, Hilton, Nelson

Absolutely hate Tom Brady.
However a obviously diminished Brady is still a vastly superior option to Brisket

Depends on what AC decides to do. If he sticks around QB remains #1. If he retires OT becomes #1B

Ideal QB situation would be that anyone currently in the QB room is not there at the start of the season. One of the available FA quarterbacks is brought in, and a 1st or 2nd round pick is waiting in the wings.
This will not happen, of course

Just my opinion but I doubt Alex Smith ever plays NFL football again.

Jacoby was not "average" the second half of the season. He was below average the first half, and bad the second half.

I don't know why, but Fromm reminds me a lot of Chad Pennington. I definitely do not want that for the Colts franchise.

We don't have a QB that is anywhere close to being that athletic.

After Luck retired I figured the colts would finish around .500. That's where the team finished, so I guess they met my expectations. But it was still a disappointing season because with average QB play they are a 10 win team and in the playoffs. With elite QB play about a 12 or 13 win team and a 1 or 2 seed.

Ballard always seems to be as straight forward as one in his position can be. I enjoy listening to his interviews. Will listen to this on the way home from work for sure

The Patriots have won 6 Super Bowls. Only one time did they win one with a defensive ranking worse than 10th
3 of their Super Bowl victories they had the 1 or 2 rated defense.
You have to have balance. Being dominant on one side of the ball or the other does nothing for you. You have to be really really good in every phase of the game.
It is extremely rare to see a team completely carried by a dominant defense with a lackluster offense, though there are a few examples in somewhat recent memory. Ravens, Bucs, most recently Broncos.
When building a team you have to have that balance in mind throughout the entire process. If you build for a dominant D, after the years it takes to get that the offense will be terrible because you neglected it in the process. Or vice versa. You cannot just focus on one side of the ball and say this side will be dominant, that's a recipe for disaster

Paraphrase: yeah the team sucks, please buy season tickets anyway.
Edit, Since sarcasm doesn't come through on the internet. It's awesome that Mr Irsay sends out these little messages to fans, and he seems like an awesome owner that genuinely cares about the state of his franchise and the fan base

I’m not going to say Ballard is a bad GM. I will say that neither Ballard nor Grigson could seem to field a team that could win without Luck. That’s just my observation.
Grigson was so bad at building a team that he fielded a team that went 8-8 with Andrew Luck

Other than him saying Brissett is our future?
Lip service. He can't straight up say that the quarter back needs to be replaced

I think people forget that Ballard has done a complete rebuild of the roster. The year where we appeared to be set up to make a deep playoff run the QB retires two weeks before the start of the season. The fact that the team did not implode right then speaks volumes about Reich and Ballard. The disappointing part of all of it is that with Luck we're probably a 1 or 2 seed and hoping for a Super Bowl appearance

I am much less concerned about Ballard than I am about Reich at this point but I am not about to call for either of their jobs.
Out of curiosity what are your concerns about Reich? There were times throughout the season that his playcalling was absolutely brilliant...other times he had good plays but the execution from a certain position was lacking. Of course every coach occasionally messes up, but I think the positive out way the negative with Reich

Higgins and Pitt are not on the same level, Boyd and Pitt are close, but Boyd at one point was a proven #1.
Van Jefferson is the Rams #2, when healthy, yes he's better than Pitt.
Bottom line , Pitt is this teams #1, but that doesn't mean he's a top 30wr in the league.
