    My gut after these first two picks is that Ballard will be signing a vet safety and a CB after the draft. Will probably spend more on safety. Thought this tweet from Diggs was interesting.

    I think they were looking for another playmaker. Now they have a guy that can test a defense with his speed opposite Pittman. Rap just said teams didn’t get a good read on him in interviews and he seemed disinterested.

    Great pick here. Anyone notice Ballards change in philosophy so far. He took some one with a medical issue. Then takes a guy with some character concerns. He is swinging for the fences. Venturi was adamant colts needed a burner opposite Pittman. They got it.

    Although the WR class is deep a lot of the WR projected for round two were picked late in the first. So not as many left.

    Kevin Bowen made a good point on the radio this morning. In the past Ballard would have taken Turner. He would have taken the high traits guy. This time he took the polished guy who was proven. I can live with that. I would have been mad had we taken him over the four big pass catchers but they were gone.

    I think a lot of the WR that were expected to go round 2 early went in round one though. I could be wrong.

    Dejean does not fit what they look for in a corner. He is more a nickel or safety. If he can convert to FS it could work.

    I think it’s safe to say we won’t get an explosive play maker in the draft. Either we roll with what we have plus some complimentary WR or we make a trade. It’s a little disappointing but that’s how the board fell. Yea
