    True, Moose,..

    .....He's looking like a rookie.....very nervous..shaky footwork

...but he;s got great talent...he just was scared today..throwing high..not running when the chance was there..

Holding the ball with one hand..

    They'll coach him up

Unfortunately those cupcakes won't bake themselves, so that option has hung 'em up for good.

In the meantime, hopefully monkey man can come back sooner rather than later. Again he's made some big mistakes, but he seems to have a LOT of luck on his side. He's had two pick sixes this season not returned on pure fluke. (One easy drop INT, the other a partial runback where the returner fell down/injured without contact.) He's also had several throws aside from those that he got away with. Again, just lucky. So far at least.

  2. The jury is out on Lynch. Only his first start after all.

That being said, even though he makes a colossal gaffe or two every game Siemian seems a better option of he gets healthy.

if the defense can buckle down/generate some turnovers and the offense does something...not stupid... they could still win this, but running out of time. That D will have to carry that team hard again this season. I don't think they're a tsunami of death like they were last year, but the offense is a bit improved. (Not saying much, but it's been decent all year until tonight as opposed to god awful like last year.)

  3. "Build the monster" indeed. It's horrendous to watch this defense play.

Offensive line continues to have spurts of playing decent here or there for a game, then reverts to its craptastic usual self for the next half a season.

Same old, same old. Maybe the line won't get Luck killed this season. They've come close a few times. His own decision making deserves part of the blame, but that line is junk.

Good thing Irsay signed Grigson and Pagano to an extention. Our defense has gotten annually worse since they arrived and the blO line continues to do just that. Special teams are better, at least, but they've done nothing to improve the team as a whole.

Our system with the Colts was fine, we had great coaches too with Manning in his prime here.

Fine? Not so much. We fielded 1/3 of a good team most seasons.

Offensively, sure.  No issues until the O-line vanished after Glenn retired post Superbowl. By far the highlight of the team and exiting to watch. Well, that and the year the 10 year in a row MVP (regardless of who won the trophy each year) went down.

Defensively, playing to hold on/counting on the offense to build a lead instead of taking the other team by the throat was a flawed design.  It cost us numerous times.

Our special teams,  outside our kickers, were atrocious. I remember good times with the offense, but I remember, "KNEEEEEEEEEEL!" as the crowd shouted for our returners to never try and return a football for a (justified) fear of disaster.

It still doesn't matter, it's pretty clear Peyton carried the Colts much more than Brady has carried the Pats.

Colts yes, Broncos not so much. He wasn't the same after surgery...especially that horrendous last season where, ironically, a team  carried HIM (for once) and to a championship no less. That whole offense was awful last year. Not only Peyton but the entire offensive unit was gift wrapped a lombardi by the D (and special teams.)

Pretty sure the Colts were tanking that season to draft Luck. I never bought for a minute that they weren't.

It was week 16 or 17 where there were a few minutes left. I think it was against Jax, and the Colts tied the game risking losing the #1 pick. Why do that if they were throwing the season?

Were were a bad team, period. Unfortunately our defense still blows. Special teams have come a long way...jury remains out on the O-line. They did well week 1. Much better than I'm used to seeing...but they've had good games before only to suck it up on the o-line for the next 8 in a row.

  7. Also Bott I don't think anyone is saying Brady isn't good for winning a few games the Pats would otherwise lose without him. However this is the second time we've seen them not really miss a beat with him gone. Keep in mind this is without Gronk among others, too.

That Tecmo Bowl commercial is ace. Who else was lucky enough to play that game in vs mode on the NES? And who else's right thumb would disagree on the lucky part lol!!!

It's great how they got Bo to do that. The guy was untouchable in that game.

  9. Does anyone think Denver would have won with Sanchez? Sieman had a couple of gaffes, but overall played pretty solid. Rookie QB, first game against the defending NFC champs...not too shabby.

As for Cam there were 2-3 blows to the head not called. Which I don't mind, but if refs aren't going to call that I hope they're at least consistent about it this year. QB's are too overprotected.  QBs should be treated like RBs once they tuck the ball and go to run, but cam was in the pocket looking to pass on some of those head hits.
