  1. @AustinnKaine based on your emoji, did my post trigger you? Our DL ranks 11th in the preseason ranks, up 8 spot compared to last year's.
  2. DL depth is OK. We have what are considered 4 good starters, and 2 pretty decent flex options in Lewis and Dayo. Not worried about NT (we only use a true NT about 60% of snaps). 3T would be a concern obviously if Defo went down, but tweeners Lewis and Dayo could easily fill in short term. Regardless, I think we have a solid 6 man rotation.
  3. Yup. And I think you also have to look at timing of polls. If you poll folks right after our collapse, probably a lot less optimism, or even interest in participating in a poll in the first place. If you poll folks right after we stumbled into getting lucky with Matt Ryan, certainly a lot of folks would be happier.
  4. Kelly had a very down year. The PB was a popularity contest. Kelly had a PFF of 56.9. Jones 77.8. You can poo poo PFF if you want, but that's a 20 pt difference, and it's smack you in the face obvious IMO. Radunz and NPF are fighting for RT lol... which is less important that LT, where are battle is. And Radunz and NPF are two very good young prospects. One is 2nd year, the other a rook. Writing either off is silly. If I had to bet, one will take over RT and do decent, the other will move to OG and be decent. Your take on Burks is almost directly opposite of NFL.com draft profile and most others I've read. And he should be used like AJ Brown. He's been called a smoother AJ Brown with more wiggle.
  5. No, I hate the Titans lol. I'm just objective. Burks has asthma that's acted up. It's not general conditioning. It's way early, he'll be fine. If you want to assume he'll never get past the asthma (like he has every year in college, OK, lol. I'm optimistic about our OL newbs. More optimistic than the majority. I like Pryor, which some fans, not so much. But it is LT, which is the most important position on the OL. I'm confident in PInter too. Regardless, we're rolling the dice just like TN is. Radunz and NPF are two great prospects competing for RT, a less important position than LT. The loser likely to compete at LG. You're assuming our wildcards will automatically succeed, and there wildcards will automatically fail. If you look at their OL, their LT and C will be better than ours. Our RT and LG will be better than theirs. RG is likely a push. It's that simple. Not really a clear "winner" lol
  6. Their OL was ranked about he same as Indy last season lol. Both horrible pass pros. We are replacing LT and RG. They are replacing LG and RT. So very similar all things considered. They'll have Radunz and Petite Frere competing for RT, and IMO, they'll find a good one out of those two. The loser might even end up at LG and be good. Brewer, their LG candidate, had a solid rook season but struggled last year, but no more than some of our guys did. So in short, our OLs have similar holes, and both are counting on new faces. But they at least have their LT of the future on paper. Comparing pass catchers... Burks - their 1st round pick... will likely be a day one stud, or at minimum, stud by late season. He was called a smoother AJ Brown with more wiggle. And he arguably played best of all the WRs in the draft against high end competition on a consistent basis. He killed Bama's D. Not many WRs can say that. He's well rounded already (unlike Pierce) so will be counted on early and a lot. And he fits really well into their O. Woods is good/great. He's aging. But before he got injured later in the season, he was on track for 1000ish yards. He's a great vet. If he's healthy (cough cough like Campbell), he'll produce. As much or more production than our WR2 from last season. NWI - emerged late last season. Not saying he'll be a tier one type of guy, but he's not bad for WR3. He had a ton of productivity in college across his years at IU. He's still young, so assume he's only going to improve too. He got more production last season than Dulin for us, who could very well be our WR3 to start the season.
  7. Titans were the second best run defense last season, and their pass D was top 10 in most stat categories. I think total D, they were right outside the top 10, Their DL certainly whipped us around the field. If Henry is back and healed, they'll be very solid everywhere but perhaps the passing O. But even the passing O will likely be decent. They added a first round WR (Burks). Woods was hurt last season, but he'll start and likely be very solid. Westbrook Ikhine emerged last season. And they added Hooper at TE. So not really any obvious holes. So the roster isn't really isn't bad at all. Now if we see Willis/Tannehill drama, that could change a lot of things.
  8. Dude, happy wife, happy life. It's not that hard. Cheers.
  9. It's nice to see you fall on your sword. Both guys are the hearts of their areas. Not saying things couldn't be constructed better from a roster perspective, but as things are, fools effort to try and diminish their input.
  10. At min, Wentz was highly successful tossing to Pitt. Even with the OL faux passssss... We've seen FR's O for a few years. It simply doesn't do deep.
  11. Hey brother. Yup. Not sure if weapons, especially a deep speedster will make a difference. We've had some deep ball specialists, fast guys in general, etc... Anyone as good as 4.4ish or better can burn outside guys, and easily torch inside guys. TY is fast enough to be effective even if he's not his 4.3ish infancy. We have fast guys. Will FR use them. I'm tired of him taking a z/slot guy and trying to make him a possession guy.
  12. March Madness. Had to take time off lol. I've gotten busier too. Rivers and Wentz were good deep. MR is too. Frequency is key. Key year for FR.
  13. Leonard was phenomenal this year in TOs. Gimpy for at least half the year, he himself early forecasted he would focus on turnovers. I agree some of the INTs were right at him, but you simply can't ignore the *. He was easily our best player on D. Take away his INTs if you want. Happy to debate. Come at me. It's a quandary. Does the title of thread create new rules? Do OP creators define their own rules? Interesting mod Qs. At minimum, it should be board defined and consistent. Does a "Colts Negative Thread" prevent posters from disagreeing with negative thoughts in that particular thread? Just making you (and the other mods) think.
  14. There's a lot to unpack in your post, but you do bring up several good areas. My thoughts. Reich's O has been way too inconsistent, and way too conservative. Don't expect a lot deep stuff. He's been way conservative here. he's been 0-10 heavy, and has tried to turn deep threat WRs into possession guys... Ryan will be good short, better than Wentz, not sure better than Rivers. Rivers is one of the best ever at reading Ds. Wentz has always been more of a extending mid to deep guy, so not sure it's fair comparison. Ryan throws nice deep timing routes, but how much will FR actually call? On Wentz, Irsay soured things early season. Who knows what he will do, but wish him well. If he outplays MR, we're going to look pretty dumb.
  15. My dream is we pick up, or draft a gem at WR, Pryor works out at LT, we solve 2 CB spots, our DL figures out the sack mystery, and MR has 2 years left of high level play. Then I wake up. Perhaps I need to drink more.
  16. I don't think we know what MR has left in the tank. I won't pretend I'm not optimistic for this season. But I also won't pretend I'm not feeling meh due to another short term move.
  17. I've always loved MR. And I live in the SE so have seen him plenty. But I'm trying to stay level on the pickup. I'll be happy is we get a few good years out of him. That said, it's not a long term fix. And we need other things before I say it's an easy answer. The Wentz for Ryan flip, in terms of draft capital, needs to play out. And to be blunt, it was a product of timing/luck even if it works out. We lucked out that ATL p!ssed off MR by going after DW, and further lucked out that we didn't have to absorb another 40M that ATL is eating. ATL is rebuilding at this point, so perfect storm for us. In terms of YN and RYS, I agree that YN is nice to have. But we now have two CB holes. And let's not forget we still don't have a 1st. So the 9 spot movement up, is not so great when you consider we jettison'd a guy after only one year that we gave up a 1st+ for. Ryan isn't a long term answer. Hopefully he still has some magic left, but our QB situation overall is still a question. Just put on pause for a year.
