Judging by the two confused reactions, seems like we’re all a bit confused at this one. Why even waste his time with bringing him in?

I know they have Mo as TE1 but he’s my choice of the top 4 to be cut/traded
Yea we need the young guys out there now. He would just take away playing time from them, especially when it doesn’t feel like he will be apart of the future plans for this team

They have JT as our 1, so that obviously mean we’re keeping him! On a serious note, the first thing that pop up in my mind is what in the world are we going to do with that TE room!? Going to be some talent cut

Would you rather us trade Taylor for draft picks or for a player in a position of need for the Colts?
I’d also go with young proven players

Why can’t they just say no comment. We will see. Maybe he needs another surgery.
I’m sure we all would be more receptive if they took that route

Why do colts continue to make up stories about him rehabbing. Or maybe they are putting him on NFI. This short makes zero sense.
The one of few things I dislike about our front office. No matter who it is, it seems that we continue to put out false information on our injuries

Yea this pretty much speaks for itself…Taylor is definitely gone, but I hope I’m wrong

Anyone else having issues with the forum crashing on page 1 of this discussion thread?

Great news to finally be getting both back. Now we need Jelani to get back and healthy along with Buckner.
Excited to see how Jelani looks in this offense

Fair enough, time will surely tell

Again. Our CBs are rookies and Ps type guys mostly. The joint practices will tell us more
Isn’t this what you would want to see against those type of players though? With your statement I’d be worried if he struggled against rookies and Ps players. I’m with you on looking at the joint practices for a clearer observation, but his current showing is very encouraging

Definitely would like to see a little more from the defense. Probably will not get a true good evaluation of the defense until the joint practices and real games are played

3!? Maybe he is drastically improving…Did not see his development going so well so early. Safe to say he for sure is checking the training camp box for readiness

I think Strachan has only been in the program two years, not three.
And Strachan was always a long term play to see what he could become. His last year of college football was wiped out by Covid. He played zero games. And he was coming from a small school to begin with. He’s going to need time and opportunity.
With this new staff I won’t be surprised if he’s cut. But I hope the Colts can re-claim him and out in the PS. I still think there is untapped potential there.
Sorry you are correct, he’s been here two years not three. I’m not completely disregarding him at all though. I am just looking at how crowded the room is today, and only going off of what Strachan has shown up to this point in the regular season. I’m ok with whoever we keep in the WR room, especially with having Reggie’s input in that decision

I was hearing Perryman early on but the last couple practices I haven't heard anything on Breshard Perryman. He's in that mix as well.
Yea I’m not sure what happened to Perryman. I also noticed his name has not been thrown around as much as before

Seems like Amari Rodgers is going to really pushing for a spot. Strachan and him will be fighting it out for that final WR spot.
If Amari Rodgers looks good and it’s a close race, I’d think it would be the better choice to go with him over Strachan. Seems like Strachan always fizzle out in regular season games with his 3 year sample size.

Exactly what you want to see when he is with the second team. I am encouraged by his performance today.

He could use it but that would actually be a point to not pay him as that contract has been a disasterYessir, that is also where the variables come into play. Each side has very strong arguements

That’s fine but maybe Ballard is changing his philosophy this year. Like he said we only won 4 games and have a new coach. Every player is being evaluated this year.
Yep this right here is very valid. So can everyone also agree that with an unexpected change in the philosophy that you were drafted in, that JT feelings and emotions are also valid? I know if I worked my tail off for multiple years expecting to be rewarded for my hard work, then it was ripped from right under me, I would be somewhat emotional as well.
Colts bringing in Hunt for visit tomorrow.

Going off of the reports, it just sounded like they were committed to getting a deal done. Not sure what was said to Hunts agent before he left NO, but it felt like a done deal if all went well. Guess I was wrong for assuming there lol
